About Affinity Healthcare Group – Cherry Hill

Just 10 miles from Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, New Jersey is home to Affinity Healthcare Group – Cherry Hill. This group of behavioral health providers offers integrated care for adults battling substance use disorders and particularly opioid addiction. You’ll benefit from the flexibility to live at home and tend to daily responsibilities while attending their intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Their 90 day IOP takes a holistic approach to recovery with treatment best practices to heal your mind, body, and spirit. You can access a customized treatment plan that prioritizes your strengths and needs. While 90 days is their standard treatment time the actual treatment time varies based on your unique situation. You’ll participate in one hour of individual counseling and nine hours of group therapy weekly. These interventions can help you build essential recovery skills while learning from and connecting with peers.

What stands out most to me are their specialized opioid addiction services. You can access medication assisted treatment (MAT) with Suboxone or methadone to overcome withdrawal symptoms and cravings. You’ll simultaneously work on the psychological aspects of addiction with individual and group counseling. This holistic approach helps you address the underlying causes of addiction without worrying about the physical effects of quitting substances.

Their services are also convenient. With outpatient care, you don’t have to step away from important daily commitments like work or school and family responsibilities. The scheduling options help you seamlessly fit rehab into your schedule and they even offer transportation to simplify getting to and from treatment. You’ll benefit from complete support from their multifaceted staff to reach your recovery goals.

Their dedicated team of licensed professionals uses multiple therapeutic approaches to help you build coping skills, stay engaged in your journey and sustain recovery. You can participate in reality therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and more.

I ve been coming here since they opened. At times they ve been extremely irresponsible. They told me my insurance was accepted. Then they told me it wasn t. Then they told me it was. So when they told me I wasn t covered I was without my medication for months. I could not find a different clinic, so I relapsed. When I returned I was given the option to do a 2 or 4 week take home. I chose the 2 weeks bc I thought it would be better for my recovery. They chose to take my take homes away over 1 bad ua (I ve passed the last 12+ tests) and a conflict in my work schedule. This left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The Dr is not a good listener.

This place is amazing. It s easily the only place out of all the clinics in Burlington county, Camden county, Mercer county, and Philly where you truly go to get and stay sober. There s no one selling drugs there or asking you if you re selling your bottles. No one hanging out outside and asking for cigs or money or pills. It s a clean place with awesome counsler s. I have Lisa. She is a newer counsler there but easily the best one in my opinion. She is very pretty and super easy to talk to and you can talk to her like friends but she also really cares about your recovery. She mixes in friendly conversation and recovery talk very well. She deserves a raise for sure because she is super knowledgeable and just all around amazing at her job and I m not over exaggerating. If you want to get and stay clean, transfer here and get Lisa as a counsler. She will do everything she can to help you. I thank god for this place and all its workers but especially Lisa.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Absolutely love this place. The nurses and staff here are amazing! They actually want to help you. And they genuinely care. I’m actually a name here and not just a number. Ive been to another place and it’s nothing like it is here.

It took them 2 weeks to send a fax for my transfer paperwork, and a letter of why I was getting switched over. But they wouldn’t send a fax to a different methadone clinic for me to be able to get guest dosed, so the past few weeks I’ve had to go too a ER and have to be dosed there, all because one counselor doesn’t want to do his job out of pure spite. These people have a code of conduct which means that you have to legally send my paperwork to make sure I’m getting my methadone regardless of whatever situation. And the crazy part is that he didn’t even send the paperwork, the doctor did, his supervisor Dr. Mimms. At the end of the day you’re putting my sobriety at risk. But honestly besides Sean the counselor, the staff isn’t that bad, location is very nice and if you’re serious about your sobriety, they will help you and work with you. It’s just a shame that one bad apple has to spoil the bunch.

I transferred from Camden treatment center and I am glad that I did the only downside of it is that I was getting 27 bottles at Camden treatment center and when I I got here I only get 13 it makes me feel like I have been down graded but it is what it is. I enjoy coming here is clean quiet drama free nobody standing outside bugging you to buy something or asking for something just in an out . Thank you to tia my counselor she is great and Deb in nursing is so awesome 💯........
