I was given the ultimatum that if couldn’t get clean from alcohol and marijuana, then I would be removed from my children’s lives and have no chance of getting custody back. As an addict I just didn’t see me able to do this alone. I Google searched top rehabs in Oklahoma, and came across Boca Recovery. When I spoke to a recruiter they informed me that the facility was not in Oklahoma, but he told me not to panic. If I was ready, then all I had to worry about was making sure I was going to board on my scheduled flight. It seemed too good to be true, but sure enough they delivered and made sure I made it there safely. As soon as I stepped foot into the facility the staff treated me with the best care. Not only that, but the facility was very well maintained. You’re seen by a nurse the first day, and they set you up with everything you’ll need for the detox process. All therapist and case managers work together to build the best treatment plan that suits the patient/client. Not to mention the food they provide is amazing! Thanks to Boca recovery I have passed every UA since I’ve been out, and am able to be involved in my children’s lives again. Before arriving to Boca I didn’t see any of this being possible. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with addiction!

BOCA saved my life. It offered me safety, stability, and daily expectations that I needed desperately. From the first day of entering the program the techs were welcoming, understanding, and supportive which eased my anxiety and allowed me to relax. The clinical staff I worked with is amazing and they helped me begin to understand why I needed to be there and pushed me to see that I also deserved happiness and peace of mind. The community that was created during my stay is one that is with me for life. Lifelong friendships have been created and we stay in touch to this day which has been critical for my sense of belonging. Thank you to BOCA in the city of Bloomington, Indiana; you are the starting point to my path of recovery.
81 days and counting.

| If your children have mental or behavioral problems, then Midwest Center for Youth and Families may be what they need to get back on their feet. It’s a residential center in Kouts, Indiana. They help girls ages 10-18 and boys from 12-18. If your income isn’t that high, they do accept Indiana Medicaid. If your children have mental or behavioral | Treatments Programs Payment Options | i ve always said i was gonna write a big review when i got out, yet i never did. although this place didn t make me perfect i m still learning much more about myself and my mental health. i had a good experience although i wasn t the best when i first came in. i was a total mess, i was struggling with family problems and finding myself and so much more. my parents sent me to an inpatient to send me to a residential since i ve been to soooooo many inpatients before all this. one thing i learned about the difference is that inpatients are there for immediate care and keep u safe, but residentials help u fix yourself and help u learn skills to beat those mental blocks. i first came in and i was so sad i would cry a lot since i get easily homesick. but then i saw my friend from a city i often go to and i was all good. we did a lot of bad things and eventually we fought eachother. this made me realize how bad of a person i am. i started becoming better since then and i messed up a few times but then i finally got a pass since it was the holidays (christmas) and i finally got to see my family and i was so happy. i messed up still but its about progress not perfection! i then worked on my relationship with my mom and i finally forgave her and she changed. i was also leveling up at that time and it was crazy to say i was on red for a little over a month, but i was so focused on studying my dbt skills and it worked. dbt (dialectical behavioural therapy) is pretty effective if u ask me. if u can use your skills effectively, you my friend will be able to use those skills in an everyday basis. cool fact for dbt, if you have ever helped yourself positively to calm yourself down, positively stop an argument, etc then you have probably used dbt without even realizing it! i know many people have their experiences and stories but the help u need is all dependent on you and you guys cannot blame a facility for doing their jobs. i get they can be strict but this fixes you to be less stubborn and if you use your skills you can handle their strictness and learn from it. something i can t understand is that when people come to facilities and say they don t need the help. it doesn t make sense, you aren t sent there without a reason and if you were sent there with a reason and u still claim you don t need help, you need to think and take accountability. that is like driving a 50 year old car that s on the brink of breaking and someone asks to help and you say you don t want it. as a gen z we have a word for it, delusional/delulu. for everybody who s made a bad review and has negativity towards this place i just wish to understand why you guys can t take accountability. i came in thinking i didn t need help and ever since i got out as dbt advisor and level blue, i realized where i was wrong and wanted to fix it. please i wanna advocate for the people who struggle with mental issues if you guys ever wanna talk, email me. thank you to all the workers. Earl and Teacher Wendy get my special shout out since i love them so much therapeutically and everyone on North Unit when i was there. i am so grateful for all of you guys since you have built me as a better person!!i wanna advocate to parents with teens who have struggles, teens with struggles, or even just people with struggles (if 18+ please don t be weird). i have went through my struggles and i wanna advocate to get your struggles fixed too. we can talk on the phone to learn about dbt and i will do my best. parents if you have struggling teens, please consider this place. you guys can talk to me and i will advocate but will not force.i pray for the best for everyone!

I was at Midwest center for about 95 days and every moment, though some weren't always enjoyable, was extremely worth it. I would like you to know that the north unit BRS' unit clerk and teacher were phenomenal! I will definitely be in touch with the staff. They took care of me and I was treated equally. As the DBT advisor ( head of resident council) I learned what it ment to be accountable, and to be a good leader. I would suggest Midwest-center for youth and families!

I am aware that I ve already left a review for Midwest. However, after a few months, I do believe that it would be important to provide a little update. Midwest has continued to set my life on a good path. They ve helped me get sober, manage my emotions, and take back my life. I m taking classes to become a teacher to help kids going through their own challenging situations, a path I would never have gotten to if not for Teacher Wendy. I ve become more confident in myself, thanks to Pickle, Eir, and Earl. Thanks to Jasmine, I ve become more open, honest, and assertive about my needs. I ve become an active advocate for myself and others, courtesy of my time on my unit s Resident Council. I ve gotten my medications under control and gotten off of a majority of them, which can be attributed to the amazing nursing staff and Dr. Jarvis care and encouragement, along with DBT as a whole. And I ll always remember the early mornings joking around with Josh and my roommate. Not to mention that my quality of life, the quality of the people around me, and my general happiness have improved so much, and I never would ve given them a chance to if not for the amazing staff at Midwest. I also want to give a shoutout to Ms. Patrice and Kurtis. They always got a lot of hate because they followed the rules, but ultimately, they made the experience much better.Parents, I know that times have to be rough if your children need to be sent here, and yes, it s not going to be easy. I know that it s especially hard if your impression of MCYF is based on the reviews you see here. But I implore you to give them a chance. The staff here are wonderful, and they truly care about making an impact on your children s lives. Everyone from the Chef to the BHWs to the CEO cares about their residents and wants to give them a chance to have a better life.I came to MCYF during the most difficult time of my life a time when I wanted nothing more than to give up and die. I left MCYF with renewed hope and aspirations to do and be more. They showed me that we all have a life worth living. Yes, there have been setbacks, but life just has those. But before now, I would have let those mistakes consume me and lead me down a path of self-destruction. But they ve given me the tools I needed to set myself back on a better route, and I never could ve gotten this far without them. Thank you, Midwest, for giving me and many others the opportunity to truly live.

| Midwest Center for Youth and Families in Valparaiso is a residential facility that provides mental health and substance disorder treatment for adolescents. The evidence based therapies that are used at this facility include dialectical behavioral therapy and recreational therapy. Recovery Support For Military Dependents One program that stands out | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I went here when i was 13. I am 24 now. I met some great people who had their issues but deep down they helped me grow into who i am now, they taught me very good skills that i still use today like DEARMAN. They let us get school work done and have fun in gym class. They were wonderful with issues and adressed them appropriately. I am so happy to finally leave a good review after all these years. This wasnt the place i wanted to be when i was 13 cutting myself being suicidal, but they helped me grow into who i am today, i was only there for a month because of insurance reasons. But they had great ling term care. My only complaint is that they could upgrade the food and milk, the milk tended to be spoiled most days back then, but it may be completely different now, i wish the staff and everyone who knew me the best of luck

This program is extremely adaptable, it is up to the residents to help create the environment they need to grow in.I was at SSA for nearly four months, and there I (as well as my family) have learned absolutely the most therapeutically there compared to anywhere else. Any other 1:1 therapist, any other group therapy, inpatient, IOP, rehab, anything. This program fully immerses you inside of a place of DBT and support. There are 100% difficult times here, as there are anywhere, and at the same time, there are constantly tools provided to assist with these times. You hear horror stories of residentials locking adolescents in their rooms, starving them, refusing to engage or provide helpful tools to them, restraining unnecessarily, using them to clean/as tools etc- but this is NOT one of those places. This place is SAFE. This means the necessities. AND THEN THEY HAVE MORE.Like I said, this program is very adaptable. Every group of adolescents that comes in has a say in the adjustment of the growing experience here. This ranges from just voicing your opinion in general, to leveling up and becoming a member of what they call resident council. Resident council makes changes to how the floor is run with the staff and helps teach the skills. This was something I commonly did. I made changes on the unit for my group, I lead informational groups and games all the time. There are resident lead groups, BHW groups, therapy groups, nursing groups, pet and equine therapy- and more. Here you are allowed to have fun, to engage and live and progress, but this means working the program. You can't hide things here, fake your way through, stay blunted. You will not have a good experience here if you can't work the program. And that will be part of it for a lot of people, having to go here to learn HOW TO open themselves up and be part of the program. It does take time to regulate to it, but being willing is important. At some point.A lot of these other reviews are pulling the negatives from the positives. This is likely the safest place in a several state radius for any adolescent. There are caring staff here, someone your child WILL click with and find as their safe person, and it will be okay for them. It has been extremely helpful and educational for me, and my family.Brendon, the shift coordinator for the South Shore unit, is extremely well educated and skillful. He's been working in mental health for 10+ years. He is trained very thoroughly in DBT- and more areas of therapy. Everyone that comes here will always remember him, there's no doubt about that. He leaves an educational mark on just about anyone. He will consistently lead BHW groups, teaching residents and even staff about useful DBT skills, takes residents to equine therapy, he leads the resident council activities, and more.I frequently call back onto the unit floor and talk to him, as well as other staff members. They are consistently there for old and new residents.Cloe Carda, a therapist here, is THE MOST wise, well-spoken, helpful, skillful, and caring person I have met. She has been solely the most supportive person there to me and many others. She is always willing to take on every situation she is faced with, and she is more than prepared to do so. I've never been more impressed with any mental health professional. I actually miss her each day, and I'm more than thankful I met her and the Midwest team.

I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That s all!

I attend semeron in Gary Indiana. I've been going there for some years now. It took a long time to really get serious about getting clean. The good thing was they allowed me to make those mistakes with compassion and didn't kick me out for not being clean right away. They allowed me to make that decision for myself. My counselor Diane is so wonderful! She's my counselor and my brothers as well , we both attend. She's so caring and really goes out of her way to be compassionate and really makes an effort to meet you "where you are" , which is rare in a person. She deserves the most credit for any success I've enjoyed . She's a miracle worker . And then there's the nursing staff . They really make the place function . They dispense the medication and evaluate you at the window to make sure everythings is ok with you. Again , great people . They do a lot of the heavy lifting. They deal with a lot and still remain friendly and professional . Regina is the boss. LoL. She runs and sort of coordinates everything that happens at semeron. There isn't anyone who could be better this job. If you let her know you have an issue she's on it . Fast. She's super dedicated to making this experience as easy and beneficial to everyone as possible. If you have a question or a problem or any issue really , she's the one to see. She's the brains of the operation, and she's really really good at it . Even the security is helpful and friendly . They are good at keeping away any riff raff or stopping fights or anything like that. But that isn't a major issue at this place . It's a very professional, very clean , compassionate and it saved my life and my brothers too. I love their groups and classes too. I think that's been another reason I'm clean too. They have so many different forms of rehabilitation and avenues of treatment to choose from, it's easy to find something you'll like . It's a great place that is literally the reason why hundreds of people are alive today. They don't get enough credit.

This is the best clinic and the best option for medicated assisted treatment in Gary. There are a few counselors who have been there for quite some time that actually care about their clients. (I.e. Bruce, mike cody, ) this Clinic is not ghetto and they do their best to stop the shenanigans. If you need the help and you truly want the help and you want to use medicated assisted therapy this is the best place to go in Gary. They have a brand new building and have plenty of dosing windows. The only time you will experience a wait is at 5:00 a.m. opening when everyone is trying to get to "work" they will give you takehome doses if you work the program and continually have clean urine screens. It is what YOU make it. The nurse practitioner Michelle vorice is absolutely amazing and a caring great doctor. She has helped me more than anyone. Bruce does a great job as well but is strict because he has so many clients and responsibilities. All in all it is what you make it and you can succeed and so maintenance here.

I have been coming here for years and honestly love the place. My therapist has helped me grow in ways I didn't think possible. Reviews show a negative outlook on the receptionists, but every experience I have had with them was warm, welcoming, and full of patience and laughter. They handle themselves very well and are incredibly patient with guests. The only negative i can come up with is their current rotating psychiatry department, but thats due to a shortage of people in the profession!

My girlfriend and I battle opiate addiction and have went to the victory clinic in south bend (where we're from)to try getting off the opiates but left there more frustrated and discouraged than before. Now we go to Swanson and it's amazing. We are understood, heard, and not judged. People there believe in us and are willing to do anything to see us succeedSo far we love it.

I went to the swanson center afraid I was going to get a doctor who wasn't going to listen to me, just prescribe pills, and send me on my way. BUT no, that is not what I got. I got a nice lady named Gloria, who , like me, is a dog lover and encouraged me to bring my dog in next appointment. I am excited to go back with my dog, not only because I can bring my dog with me, but because I liked her energy and responsive care to my woes and sorrows. Made me feel comfortable and at ease.

I have been through multiple counselors programs and doctors and they have always been amazing, only one doc I didn't exactly love but she was ok . Otherwise everyone is great especially Andrea, she is the best person I have ever delt with, she listens never judges and is always understanding when it comes to anything life throws our way. She genuinely cares and does her job to the best of her ability and it shows. I have no complaints with her at all. They are extremely busy as a whole so regardless who or what your going for it's a bit of a wait for appointments, that's the only reason for the4 stars instead of 5. But between Andrea and her nurses and even the girls at the front desk to the pharmacist, they do anything and everything they can to accommodate your needs, to me it's worth the wait and they are on it anyway even if u can't get in for an appointment right away they actually care about you and its obvious they do! I'm so happy to have Andrea and her team on my side ! Thanks for being awesome !

| Porter-Starke Services provides comprehensive mental and behavioral health care for youth and adults in Valparaiso, Indiana. Treatment includes medically supervised detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using methadone and/or suboxone, dual diagnosis care, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), general outpatient programs | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Dr. Goldstein is an amazing doctor. When my son was first diagnosed I had a lot of questions and concerns. Dr. Goldstein never made me feel rushed. He answered my questions and gave other guidance. It wasn't just "give him these pills". Trying to figure out the right medicine for your child can be challenging. We tried a new medication that didn't work out well. My son just seemed off. I was able to call and leave a message. The nurse called me back to see what was going on. And the Dr. Changed his script back to the other medication. We then discussed it at our next appointment and figured it out. My son is now doing great. Our visits with the Dr. are just updates now. But even then, the way Dr. Goldstein talks to me and my son. It truly feels like he cares about how my son is doing. My son was concerned about how his DX will affect him when he was an adult. He was worried if he would be able to pursue a certain career. Dr. Goldstein talked with him and reassured him. People on these reviews sometimes complain about having to wait longer for their appointment. I just know anytime the Dr. is running late it s because he gave someone the extra time they needed to provide that high quality of care. Lately though we haven't had to wait long at all. So maybe they rearranged his schedule to accommodate the extra time he sometimes spends with patients.

I have been a client/patient with the Valparaiso Porter Stark for over 3 years now and between their services and my will to be the better me I am today I have remained 100% sober and steady with my recovery. The entire duration minus the first 90 days I have been under the care of Shawna Reed who is a nurse practitioner. Her care, compassion, understanding, and acceptance of myself and my recovery has been a huge part of my journey with Porter Stark Services. I highly recommend their services, just be honest with them from the beginning so they can fully understand your situation and map out the right options for you.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Indiana vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Indiana. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Indiana that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options.
