These stars are for the super sweet and amazing nurses running the Infusion department. They are all absolutely amazing nurses, I look forward to seeing them, they make a kind of drab activity a more comfortable and pleasant experience. I cannot thank them enough! If you need infusions, definitely go here because they will make you feel right at home! The ER was really great too, loved the nurses and doctors and they had me in and out (in a good way!!)

Their service was terrible. I only got one vaccine shot, but it cost me over $1,000. They charged me four times, and the last one was a duplicate. I m 100% sure I already paid, but I have no idea how to communicate with them. It was a really bad experience I strongly suggest others avoid going there if possible.

I want to thank all the staff who assisted me yesterday! I'm amazed at how everyone executed their job. 10/10 service and patient care. I have never received such outstanding care the way I did yesterday and am grateful to have had the team that took great care of me yesterday, and after needing serious treatment, I was able to go home the same day! Accepted Insurance

Northwest Hospital – Behavioral Health works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

ECT is a form of treatment in which controlled electric currents are passed through the brain, sometimes causing short seizures. Treatments are done under general anesthesia. ECT appears to change brain chemistry for the better, and has been shown to provide fast and sometimes dramatic improvements in severe mental health conditions that can exist alongside addiction, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and suicidality. ECT is also often used by those who prefer it to taking medication.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I gave birth to my son a month early and it was a pretty scary experience, that being said, I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful group of people to have experienced all of it with. Me and my baby were so well taken care of, and I was met with so much gentle understanding and empathy from every nurse and doctor along the way, all determined to help me deliver my baby as safely as possible. Doctors Moy and Chiaro made me feel so safe and assured, my labor nurse Jess got me through hours and hours of labor with my sanity, and all of my post-natal nurses were all so sweet, caring and attentive. My baby spent 2 weeks in the NICU after that, and my husband and I essentially lived in his room the entire time. Not only did every doctor and nurse fully support us, they got us another bed and let us fully set up house in his room until he was discharged. Things won’t always go according to your birth plan, and sometimes things may even be scary and uncertain, and being in the right place with the right people makes all the difference in the world. I will always tell anyone I know in the area, if you plan on starting a family, this is 100% where you should plan to deliver.

Do not go there for any orthopedic care or surgery. Since being purchased by UW Main on Pacific they do not follow same prodigals for treatment of patients. I was denied the opportunity to get an appointment second opinion from a different doctor in the same group of orthopedics. There answer was "she is already a patient of ...Drs in this clinic. I had to wait two weeks before they responded. I was sitting in a rehab facility with a dislocated hip bone pending surgery. Their hospital's patient advocacy offered no help. "Surgeons are allowed to do this" Go to Orthopedic care at the UW Husky Stadium. Totally patient focused. Encourage you to get opinions from other Dr. within the scope of your care. Do not go to UWNW for hip care. Find another Medical group to help you.

Bed side manner was wholly lacking. Staff makes you feel more like prisoner than a patient. Refusal to answer questions or show written policies that are freely being stated. Staff gets combative and then when you respond in kind they take offense and start threatening you. Entire staff seems to think it's okay to treat adults like children. If you really get under their collar they withhold post op meds a few hours until the last dose is fully worn off even though they were scheduled to avoid that. Staff seemed more concerned about correcting my language and lording over my whereabouts . We were not allowed to go outside on grounds at all even though the window in our room was welded shut and our room was sweltering. Many inappropriate and unprofessional things were said that I will not go into here but needless to say I was not made to feel safe or cared for at any point last night but more like I am a burden and that I had done something wrong by advocating my care.

Mostly leaving a review to balance the ratings out - because I am currently in the ER and have been treated well and was seen promptly. The staff has been compassionate, and if brief no one was rude. As I've been here for a few hours now while I write this, I've heard at least a couple patients who are in pain and upset...which makes me wonder if many low ratings here are from the same kind of people? I wonder if a number of folks who leave low reviews were folks who are in immense pain (which is par for the course in an ER) and have low patience for staff. So far my visit here is what I'd expect - the staff is doing what they need to do, I am getting help that I need, and am waiting on test results...nothing egregious, which previous reviews lead you to believe. Also willing to accept that maybe I got here on a good day?? I'll come back and change this review if my experience changes, but I doubt I will need to.

I was referred for a procedure here and called the number provided to schedule an appointment only to reach a voice message that sounded in voice and tone as though I’d reached either the morgue or HAL 9000. After a month, still no return call. Fortunately, my doc sent me elsewhere where they promptly and cheerfully answered the phone. I will never use this facility.
