ABHS has been a very big part of my recovery. If the staff weren't as strict but kind, and the guidelines of this program are to be followed and be enforce for a reason. I had a very bad habit of always getting what I want and this place had taught me to allowed myself to be led by the unknown by doing the seemingly impossible. I'm still doing the seemingly impossible. Thanks ABHS I will forever be grateful for the opportunity Ms. Matavao

Spokane’s crime problem thats going on in 2025 is places like this. The Women’s and men’s centers they run are just a daycare!!!! It’s a joke. Staff members are unprofessional. I don’t even know if they really have degrees. They just want a paycheck. They aren’t really preparing or teaching these people how to live a sober life. They’re setting them up for failure. Take your love on one any where but there. They should all be embarrassing and ashamed of themselves. Anybody can babysit.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

The doctor at ABHS treats the patients horrible and will take your medication from your normal doctor and not let you have them without giving you a reason or telling you why. Just basic medication and than when you want to ask why, she will ignore you. I'm pretty sure she pushes what she is legally able to do. She is judgemental and shouldn't be allowed to work at a impatient. Once your in inpatient too, you have no say in any matter and she doesn't listen. She has the attitude "if you don't like what I am doing, than leave." You should realize if someone is in inpatient than they probably don't have many options and cannot "leave."

If I could with a zero I would. I was there for no more then 2 hours. It felt like I walked into a cult full of vombies (inpatients). I told the staff more than a hand full of times that i really needed to take my medication/seizures medication they just looked at me like I was stupid. I don't recommend this place. I wanted to leave asap. I didn't get a good vibe at all. Really bad atmosphere.
