Forever grateful to Flatirons Recovery, its staff, and the community it has created. I felt supported by people who genuinely cared about me as a person, and the staff created an environment where I felt safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and begin doing the work necessary. I was supposed to be here for 30 days, I ended up staying for 4 months. It was by far the best investment in myself that I’ve ever made in my life. I came in for pure mental health (Self Harm and SI) and the therapists and my peers here really helped sort me out. I came in hopeless and now having left I’m filled with hope, and a trust and belief in my resilience and skills to cope. A special shoutout to Justin and Darrin, as they’re truly some of the best therapists I’ve ever met and their groups here are fantastic. A very very caring, wholesome, authentic, and supportive environment which was clear even from my very first communications with Mark and their intake staff. I want to be involved with Flatirons recovery for a long time into the future. To the person reading this, you are not alone, there is hope, and you deserve help. I didn’t believe these things for a while and I was pleasantly proved wrong when I came to Flatirons. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks Flatirons, I appreciate it. :)

A year ago i checked in to the Rose house after finding them from a google search while in a scary mental health spiral. I had never even heard of residential treatment facility but I was desperate for a safe place to go where my family didn’t have to be in charge of my care. At the rose house I found a safe place to process a lot of complex trauma, which for me included religious trauma, and learn to heal. I can remember asking how people heal here and the staff just telling me to trust the process. It took a lot of hard work. This place isn’t a vacation. It’s a place to come face to face with yourself, to allow others to see you in your pain and to learn to trust yourself again. I truly believe going to the rose house saved my life. They provided a safe place for me to deal with my trauma, a place where I could have my dignity and some independence while also having staff to help. My therapist was amazing and helped me face many things. The community of women are key for healing because we can’t heal in isolation. My only one thing that I think could use improvement is support for when you go home. I know other programs provide some aftercare and I think this would be very help for all once they leave the care of the rose house. But overall I can’t recommend them enough if you are seeking help for mental illness!

Before coming to The Rose House, she had experienced several short-term psychiatric hospitalizations and had worked with therapists, but unfortunately, lasting recovery had not yet taken hold. The difference at The Rose House was the opportunity for long-term, comprehensive care—more than 90 days of treatment focused entirely on her needs and on helping her build the foundation for lasting wellness. Just as importantly, The Rose House included our family in the process. We learned, participated, and were given the tools and understanding to support her in a healthy and meaningful way. That family involvement has continued even after treatment. We remain engaged in outpatient counseling and are committed to being open, supportive, and encouraging of her ongoing wellness. Today, she has been healthy and doing well for a year and a half. She has worked incredibly hard, has taken responsibility for her own wellness, and has done an amazing job caring for herself. We know recovery is an ongoing journey, but The Rose House gave her—and all of us as a family—the time, tools, support, and foundation that made lasting change possible. We are deeply grateful to The Rose House and the people who cared for her. The staff at AspenRidge put a lot of effort into their groups and really try to teach a variety of topics that are relevant to a diverse population. You can tell that they really care about people. AspenRidge does some fun climbing groups and hikes. There is also case management that will help you with a lot of resources and just take you our for coffee or something to talk and get to know you. You can't make everyone happy. I would encourage people to pay attention to all of the good reviews about this place.

Red Rock Recovery Center changed my life. I was admitted into their rehab facility in Morrison in May of 2025. The team there guided, supported and encouraged me in every way I could hope for. Through their programs I pursued thereafter in Lakewood, I was able to navigate a path forward into a life of sobriety I never thought was possible. I am truly grateful for this program and especially for the community of people that helped me when I needed it most and continue to be a part of my recovery. I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated in this case 'cause RRC saved my life. I've, unfortunately, been to a number of inpatient rehabs. Of all the places I've been my experience at RRRC was the best. Red Rock's care is superior for a number of reasons. I'm writing this six months after leaving (still sober) so i'll try to mention as many as I can remember. 1) The nursing staff was amazing. So caring. They bend over backwards to get you as comfortable as you can be while still leading you through a successful detox. Extremely patient. Never felt like a number. They looked me in the eye, listened and helped me. 2) The food. Before arriving my diet wasn't great. The chef prepares home cooked meals. It's not cafeteria food. You can tell the chef really cares and takes pride in what they're serving you. Nutrition is extremely important, so to kickstart your reintegration into eating right is huge when first getting sober. This was a godsend. I was grateful for each and every meal. And not only that...the community kitchen is open all day, so you can grab snacks, drinks, make protien shakes etc. 3) The curriculum/therapy. RRRC meets you where you're at. While they certainly promote 12 step programs...they DO NOT proselytize nor present them as the ONLY way by any means. Which is huge. There are a million ways to get and stay sober. RRRC recognizes this and teaches you the things you need to know to help you get and stay that way without falsely preaching that there's only one way to do it. 4) They listen to everyone, but don't put up with silliness. There are a lot of personalities that walk into rehab. Often colorful, always interesting. People conflict in regular everyday life. Rehab...can be a powder keg. The way RRRC dealt with problems, I felt like everyone was listened to and that they always did what was best for the community as a whole. 5) The surroundings. You're in the mountains. Awesome. 6) Facilities. Great gym. Was always comfortable in my room etc. 7) JUST ENOUGH PHONE TIME. Trust me. Not having your phone for certain parts of the day is AMAZING. You start to kinda dread the times you get to have your phone. Sort of. I could go on and on. But i was just impressed by this place. I still talk to 5 people from the crew that was present when i was there and we're all still sober. That's unheard of. But, remember, it's up to you. The only piece of advice I'd give to anyone is to be mindful of the culture you and other patients are cultivating. In close quarter, small group scenarios like rehab ONE person's vibe can change everything. So be the positive tuning fork and you'll be surprised at how good the experience can and will be. Good luck. Getting sober is rough. Until it doesn't. So hang in there (and remember to *lean on* and trust the nursing staff. Oh...and as nice as the nurses are, if you're a jerk...they're a force to be reckoned with. I saw a couple of dudes pop off for no good reason and it didn't end well. Don't mistake their sweetness for weakness hahaha.)

I’m probably one of DWR’s biggest fans at this point, and for good reason. From day one, I was met with compassion and a community of women who understood what I was going through. Shout out to the incredible therapists and staff, including Crystal, Amanda, Alex, Katie, Dr. Bader, Skylar, Macie, Lily, and MJ. Thank you for believing in me, pushing me to grow, have a different perspective, and putting up with my sarcasm along the way 😉. The therapists and staff encouraged me to do the hard work of looking beneath the surface. They helped me rebuild my self-worth and reminded me that recovery is more about holistic healing, learning to trust yourself again, finding hope, and building a life worth protecting, and living! Today, I show up in the world differently, because of the staff at DWR that taught me how. I’m far from perfect, but I’m more aware of the patterns that brought me here, more willing to have the hard conversations, a rooted knowledge and sense of who I am, and a whole toolkit I can pick up and practice. I don’t have it all figured out, but I have hope, a support system, and a life that I genuinely enjoy today. The relationships I built there continue to be some of the most meaningful I’ve found. I found genuine friendship, hope, and a support system that has stayed with me long after treatment ended. What has meant the most is knowing that DWR will be there long after you leave. They made it clear they would be there if I needed them, and they’ve continued to live out that promise. Knowing I always have DWR in my corner is something I won’t take for granted. If you’re scared to take the first step, my advice is simple: just jump in. Choosing Denver Women’s Recovery was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m forever grateful for the role they played in helping me reclaim my life- I truly believe they helped save it.

I have never spoke publicly, about anything personal I wrote about. Writing a book was not something I shared anymore. So taking a giant leap I raised my digital hand and began to read to the many in this writing class, I kept me eyes down on my paper, nervously reading my story, using the prompt, at one point I briefly looked up at the laptop screen and saw hearts going up the screen, so I continued to read but my eyes went back and forth from my paper to the screen while the others in the class were posting comments. I was worried, did they not like it, I should not have volunteered to read my story, that I just wrote in a few minutes, these thoughts going through my head as was nearing the end of my story. I saw keeping going, more more, more, what happens at the end? as hearts continued going up the screen.I was Almost done reading my story, and I started to choke up with emotion, I continued with a cracked voice as tears rolled down my cheeks. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. People liked my story and how I wrote it. Once I stoped and Laura began to give great feedback I realized that the emotion that came through was validation that I can write, and I am smart enough to write. I didn’t expect such a good response from Laura, a published author, I just read a story, I wrote in a few minutes with no time to proof read, Laura said she loved how I didn’t reveal the persons name till halfway through the story and tears just came again. Rolling down my cheeks. Happy tears. Validation that even though I was told growing up I wasn’t smart enough, etc, I just believed that until I got counseling, at ERC, for an eating disorder I didn’t know I had and why. This work shop is so fantastic. It is as if it was a “continued” class from ERC. No judgment, a safe space, for anyone to tell their stories and by writing and reading your story to many others in that safe space is so therapeutic. We do follow the rules just as it was when I was in treatment 2 years in a row, nothing was to be talked about that could trigger someone. And even though those rules are followed to the T, the writers attending and sharing as I did for the very first time, we manage to put in words, on paper, what we are feeling and what might have happened in our lives wether it is good or sad. So with “unspoken words” and learning from Laura about writing styles we can still tell “our unspoken story” , without breaking the rules or triggering anyone. I come away with a refreshing sense of confidence and my heart I can tell over the years, healing. I would love this to be more then 4 times a year. I look forward to it a lot. Laura and Cara are fantastic. And anyone else that helps in putting this class together I want to say thank you to also. Thank you for the time everyone puts into preparing and giving the class, a safe place to learn, heal, and grow in all aspects of our lives, all the while we are learning how to make our writing better from these classes that Laura teaches. She gives us different ways of approaching a story without us knowing she did until after the class ends and as I am climbing in bed. The light bulb goes off in my head, and I say to myself , that is what Laura was saying and teaching us, as I smile and shut out the lights for bed. I will continue to attend these classes as long as they continue and I hope that will be forever.

As a mother of a son that went to Choice House for treatment, I cannot say enough about this program and credit them 100% for saving my son’s life! After a lot of research, I discovered a 90 day inpatient program plus sober living has the best outcomes for long term sobriety. My son completed 90 days inpatient and living in sober living 1yr which was an integral part of molding him into the man he is today. He has been sober 3 1/2 years and still lives in Colorado surrounded by the supportive community he built while in treatment. This review is long overdue and I felt compelled to share after just returning from a visit with my son in Colorado and seeing the life he has built. This place is the worst place I’ve ever been to. Not one staff listened to how I was feeling and called me a “disruption” to my peers. I did not get adequate medical care while I was in there as well as I was constantly belittled in there. I just recently looked at my psych reports on MyChart and I am angry to no ends. I was documented as I was behaving in a retarded manner, I cannot believe some psychologist would document me in this way when I have no disabilities that would cause me to act retarded; also in my reports they would say that I have no psychotic symptoms then goes on IN THE SAME REPORT to say I have “uncontrollable psychotic tendencies”. In my reports there are cases of them called me a MALE, and spelling my name wrong. Never go here, the reviewers are right and they will NEVER listen to you and will always dumb your problems down to saying it’s your fault. You people that work here have a special place for you guys and I hope you know that.

This place will lead you on and try to sound promising at first. Dont go here you can try other places while this place takes 3 weeks to call and then set an appointment in another 2 weeks and dont worry about getting anyone's phone number unless they have a desk job no counselors or Docs to help instead they play the hurryup and wait game because they are stuck in 2020 post Covid rules after mandates have been lifted with herd immunity everywhere. I want Mental help without having to do a 72 hour hold its ridiculous they act to busy for everyone like they are understaffed in such a big building. They led me on and said I'll get a Thrapist to evaluate me for whats wrong and that never happened. If you call the centers phone the line goes to one person and sometimes they hang up in the middle or beginning of it ringing or just let it go to voicemail like you can tell they are trying to not answer when you call 3 times in a row and all those things happen the only line thats successful is the Nurses line they are the only helpful ones there. I dont like how the staff at front desk act like reception security guards that hate dealing with multiple people at once and make it seem like they want an easy boring day sitting at the desk. I have mere complaints about this place when I tried them in 2019.

Update 9/2026: I had to visit the ER recently and they were absolutely amazing. There were only a couple of patients (it was the middle of the night) so it was a quick trip. I felt horrible coming in, but my PC urged me to because I couldn't see him for a couple of weeks. The admin person at the door, nurses, doc, radiology techs - everyone. Thank you ER staff of 9/25 PM. :) I know vet hospitals as a whole get trashed pretty badly, but remember that 99% of the people at the VA want to be there and do care; they will always do what they can - red tape and government policies are what most people are frustrated with. **From 2022ish** I’ve been a patient at the RMVA for just over 14 years. In that time, I’ve only dealt with three difficult staff members. Considering I’ve probably encountered close to a hundred staff in the past 14 years, I’d say that’s pretty great. Most people here truly care about the veterans and what they do. I’ve also witnessed staff being verbally abused by frustrated veterans and handled the situation with great care and respect. The new site doesn’t have enough parking, especially if you have an early morning appointment; plan ahead. There isn’t much parking in the area if you can’t find a spot in the parking garages. Appointments have wait times; be prepared. I’ve had a hard time getting into GYN the past couple of years; it’s always a wait. But they have always been amazing. The people at the entrance have always greeted me and asked if I needed directions or help getting to my appointment, as long as they weren’t helping someone. The lab is quite efficient and streamlined; the techs in there have always been friendly and professional. I’ve unfortunately had to use the new ER once; the wait was long; however, they checked on me often and kept me informed of estimated times for tests/doc visits/etc., more so than I’ve ever gotten in any other ER. The pharmacy staff has always been great with me as well, even when I’ve called about drug interactions. They have been patient and helpful; something I appreciate, and I try to express. I had a lump scare, and the staff that set up and did my mammogram were absolutely fantastic. I felt as comfortable as I could, considering the situation. It could have been a stressful and difficult situation; they made it more manageable. Yes, the VA has procedural problems. Yes, the VA spent too much on the new site. No, it’s no perfect. However, my experiences have almost always been great, especially when it came to direct patient care.

I want to take a moment to give the biggest shoutout to Treasure, one of the nurses at this clinic. She is truly one of a kind. ❤️ Every time I’ve encountered her, she has been fast, professional, compassionate, and always willing to go above and beyond. She has such a positive attitude, and you can genuinely tell that she cares about the people she serves—not just as patients, but as human beings. I’ve actually come into the clinic twice when I had a urine review, and instead of having me sit around and wait, Treasure called me to the window, dosed me, and got me on my way. That may seem like something small, but when you’re coming to a clinic and already dealing with so much mentally and emotionally, that kind of compassion and efficiency means EVERYTHING. I’ve been clean for a year now, and when I came in to dose, Treasure told me how proud she was of me and reminded me that I was worthy of staying sober. What she didn’t know was that I had been going through one of the worst periods I’ve experienced and was dangerously close to relapsing. Hearing those words from her in that moment meant more than she could ever understand. Sometimes people don’t realize how powerful their words can be. She didn’t just give me my medication that day—she poured something positive back into me when I desperately needed it. She reminded me that my sobriety is worth fighting for and that I am worth staying sober for. Treasure, please know that what you do matters. ❤️ You have a gift for pouring into people, encouraging them, and making them feel seen. Honestly, I think you should consider counseling or something along those lines because you have a natural ability to uplift people and speak life into them. Thank you for being the nurse who doesn’t just do her job, but makes a difference. You are appreciated more than you know. I first came to this clinic with absolutely no expectation of getting sober. That was May of 2022. I didn't stay with the clinic, hell I think I only came 3 or 4 times and that was only because I was sick. However, those few times planted a seed. Because I came back. October 4th of 2022 was my last dirty U.A. I have been sober since. I owe a lot to this clinic and methadone treatment. Because without it I wouldn't have done the work that needed to be done to be where I am today. I'm no longer on the streets, I have a home. I have most of my family back. And I'm in the position to be able to continue to fight for the rest, whereas before that would have never been possible. I guess the reason why I'm even writing this review is for the people who have so many negative things to say about this clinic and how they don't like it in their neighborhood. But they never stopped to think about how this clinic has saved so many lives and the positive things that it has done for the hundreds and hundreds of people that come through the doors. These people with their negative views never stop and think about the lives that get saved. And how many of those lives are no longer getting high in the alley anymore. This clinic does more than just "handout methadone" it brings back a sense of accountability and responsibility, it councils us in the good and the bad times, it shows us that somebody still cares and gives us hope.

I have been a patient with this clinic for almost a year now and have nothing but kind words to say about this center. The people here are all wonderful individuals who genuinely care about helping the community. I have had no issues getting an appointment or additional services when I have required it in the past, even with Medicaid. Additionally, there are a ton of groups and types of counseling that I haven't seen at other clinics, unique to Aurora Mental Health Center. It's unfortunate that there aren't more positive online reviews, it's truly worth giving them a shot to see for yourself the positive impact this place can have!

Very kind and trauma informed over at the department that specializes in developmental disabilities. Be sure to do your homework before you sign up with anybody tell them what you’re needing because nobody is a mind reader and a lot of of these reviews I’m seeing are very negative which I’m sorry to hear but luckily with the disability department everybody has been super kind and understanding so far.

AMAZING!!!! My wife and I couldn't be more grateful for this place. As addicts we can find something to complain about in any situation, but this place is Amazing. The staff truly cares about you and your recovery and they will do whatever it takes to make sure you are safe, comfortable, and make sure you have all the tools you need to get and stay clean and sober. They don't just treat you while you're there and then throw you out on the streets when the program is over. They assign you a case manager who will discuss your plans for the future, help set up a path of treatment, and then hook you up with your next level of care whether that's another in patient program, Sober living, or if you're going home they refer you to outpatient. The facility is very nice and clean. The food is great. The facility is coed and while couples are housed in different buildings you will be able to spend more than enough time with your spouse or significant other throughout your stay. You share a room with one other person and each room has its own bathroom and shower. There is 3 buildings called Pods that patients are housed in while you're there. Each Pod has a staffed nurses station, at least one PES ( patient engagement specialist ) at all times, a community space with comfortable chairs and couches, a Smart TV, water cooler, ice and coffee station and a microwave. There is an activity area, as well as an exercise equipment (ie. treadmill, stationary bike, and other exercise equipment depending on which pod you're in), and laundry room. There is a huge outdoor space with a volleyball court, a gazebo, and room to walk around and exercise. Bottom line the place is the bomb.com and I wish I had more stars to give because 5 stars really isn't enough.
