About BAART Programs

BAART Programs stand as a trusted source of holistic healing for many adults facing opioid use challenges in Brighton and the greater Adams County area of Colorado. Located on South 1st Avenue in the heart of historic downtown Brighton, the clinic combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with community support to help clients build a strong foundation for lasting success. It’s just a few blocks south of both the First Presbyterian Church and the Adams County Courthouse and a short walk north of Mayeda Park.

Their inclusive setting positions them to support opioid-dependent clients across diverse backgrounds including LGBTQ+ members, justice-involved adults and veterans or active military personnel. A more specialized treatment option is extended to opioid-dependent pregnant women with an emphasis on maternal well-being, prenatal support and healthy infant development.

In addition, the facility offers guest dosing to support individuals traveling or temporarily away from their home clinic. Most clients especially appreciate BAART Programs for making high-quality opioid treatment accessible at a low cost. The clinic achieved this by accepting Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans and most private insurance. They even offer transportation assistance for Medicaid patients, helping remove common barriers to consistent treatment.

Specialized Care and Client Feedback

For veterans, BAART Programs participate in the VA Community Care Network through both Optum and TriWest to maintain affordability. Their skilled, experienced and friendly team of care professionals is another reason this clinic remains a top choice for those seeking lasting healing.

With a 4.1-star rating and deeply appreciative testimonials, the clinic’s impact is clearly reflected in the voices of those it serves. One client noted, “This is an amazing clinic run by compassionate, caring and goal-oriented people.”

Comprehensive Care for Lifelong Wellness

BAART’s integrated care model helps clients achieve sustained healing by addressing the full spectrum of recovery needs. Your personalized recovery begins with a detailed intake and medical checkup, followed by a prescription for methadone or buprenorphine as needed.

These FDA-approved medications ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings, helping you stay focused on your long-term recovery goals through behavioral therapy.

Therapy helps you develop robust relapse prevention strategies and strengthen your emotional resilience as you address underlying emotional issues driving your opioid addiction. This supports lasting sobriety and helps maintain abstinence over time. Wraparound services provide ongoing support and connect you to community resources for essential needs like transportation, housing and employment.

They genuinely care and that is one thing that is important in being successful in one’s sobriety! I recommend this place to everyone that needs help in taking a step in the right direction!!

I agree with Mike in the review below. When I first started at the clinic, the experience was wonderful and the staff was caring. You can see the good reviews about the old staff. Management changed, this horrific lady took over as director, took away resources and extra groups that were helpful and regularly attended. Many people transfered clinics to get away, I rushed my treatment just so I didn't have to be around the inconsiderate inconsistent staff. Tj and the dispensing nurse are the only caring staff in that facility. A great place for treatment if you aren't serious about it, I'd suggest getting help elsewhere if you are.

It was great when Trish was the Director! I was retaliated against, literally mocked when I was stuttering while being served a contract for being disruptive by asking that they don’t put my name out on the birthday cards and that they respect my HIPAA rights and use my number As well as having my counselor put a message out on teams that I wanted to be at the window during pouring of doses n refills after being overdosed. From Marianne, playing middleman instead of the nurses talking directly to the clients like professionals or even just people who have common sense. That’s why it’s a policy I have Sharon on recording reading an email that she sent out with a clinical policy number. That states that the clients are not allowed to be at the window. She literally pulled out of thin there. The policy is that we are to be at the window. So I was told that I was disruptive for requesting my rights, not be violated again. I have the front desk lady on recording admitting that Sharon told her no when she said she was making a copy of the grievance procedure papers for me. TJ was standing right there witnessing the entire thing. Later that night on a recorded phone call’s retracting everything she said, and said that she doesn’t feel like I deserve that contract and blamed it all on Marianne. This place is a joke now. TJ witnesses everything so does Leticia the front desk gal, but nobody lives up to the fact that by law they are mandated reporters. But that’s OK because I have all the recordings I need to prove my case just about where I need to be take action. I’d really just like for them to be fired or move somewhere else so that I can come back it’s really inconvenienced but they need all new staffed. None of those people could be trusted except maybe the new female doctor because I reached out to Dr. Thomas on an email because he said that’s how he wants us to get a hold of him to schedule appointments with him. His reply was that he was working a full-time job and didn’t have time to read my message. OK, so then medical neglect?

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

I was a client at this clinic a few years ago and it was a wonderful experience, the staff was friendly and awesome then. However a friend and I went in yesterday and it's a complete difference. The nurse and the nurse in training made me feel horrible and embarrassed about my situation. They degraded me and made me feel less than, they had absolutely no compassion and made me feel as if I shouldn't have even gone in for help. My friend left there crying because of the way the 2 nurses spoke to her and treated her. If you don't like getting judged and talked down to, don't go to this clinic.
