I was in a terrible spot in my life and desperately needed some help. I was blessed after Rocky Mountain Detox, and attended the C.A.R.S. Program for 30 days of treatment. Amber, the angel who runs the program was amazing! She poured life and love into all the men at the program on a daily basis. Without her unconditional love and help, I don t know where I would be. I will be forever grateful for Miss Amber and the rest of the staff for helping save my life!

The thing that differentiates Rocky Mountain Detox from everywhere else I've been is that they meet you where you are at.They have no agenda other than to make sure you get through detox and then offer exceptional group therapy. Also, I've worked in emergency medicine for 10 years and Rocky Mountain Detox nurses are the most empathetic and kind nurses I've ever interacted with. I'm talking to you Boo Boo and J.Also, when I explained my situation finding a therapist the whole gang got involved.I've been to very expensive rehab places, but I've never felt cared for like every member of the staff at Rocky Mountain Detox cared for me.Thank you.Boo boo out.

Accepted Insurance

Rocky Mountain Detox Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The process of medically assisted detox usually takes place in an inpatient setting while under the 24/7 care of a team of licensed medical professionals. It's considered the safest way to rid the body of all addictive substances and prepare you for a transition into either an inpatient program or various forms of outpatient rehab. The program length varies depending on your needs, but it typically takes about 5-7 days.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Detox can be dangerous if not properly supervised, making 24-hour clinical care in Colorado an essential tool in the recovery process. The constant monitoring by medical professionals helps individuals through critical stages of recovery. Medical professionals and addiction specialists are available 24/7 to provide medications that ease withdrawal symptoms and to treat any other issues that arise.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Residents of a sober living home in Colorado are encouraged to continue to develop coping skills and habits they learned in treatment. They can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, until they feel they are ready to transition home. During their stay, they must adhere to house rules, which may include contributing to household chores, abiding by a curfew, and maintaining a job.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy in Colorado offers you a platform to share your stories about drug addiction and co occurring mental health conditions. You'll receive encouragement and empathy from peers who understand your journey, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

During family therapy sessions, family members in Colorado work with therapists to understand addiction as a disease that has affected the entire family. This approach fosters empathy and reduces blame on any one member. Promoting this collective effort helps to support the recovery process.

I would highly recommend RMD if you are looking for a place to get help and heal. I went there and it was clear from the start I was willing to do a 30 program. There whole staff is amazing and have a much welcomed sense of understanding mixed with humor during a difficult time. Their nursing staff is caring and thoughtful and their clinicians are top tier. Groups were well organized and informative. My work with my individual clinician (Sam) helped me face my addiction and focus on the work I needed to do in a very powerful way. I am from MA and flew out to their facility to get the best care possible and I was not disappointed in the least. There facility is clean and welcoming. You are able to feel at home while working on the unknown of your addiction. Thank you so much for the tools and support you have given me to continue in my recovery!

I came to Rocky Mountain Detox thinking I just needed a simple detox, but I quickly realized there was so much more I needed to address. Through group sessions and support, I discovered that recovery isn’t just about getting clean; it's about understanding the roots of my addiction and truly healing from within. The facility itself felt like a sanctuary — clean, safe, and supportive. They provided me with not only the tools but the knowledge I needed to maintain my sobriety, which has lasted a year and a half now. The food was great, and the staff felt like family, making the whole experience one that was both nurturing and life-changing. I ended up completing their residential treatment program, which played a major role in helping me reach this milestone in my sobriety. Every single person at Rocky Mountain Detox, from the nurses and behavioral health techs to the clinicians and background staff, was a blessing. Their expertise and compassion left a lasting impact on me, and I truly feel like I owe my life to them. I couldn’t ever thank each person who contributed to my recovery enough, and I couldn't recommend a better place for anyone seeking real, life-changing treatment. Rocky Mountain Detox isn’t just a facility — it’s a place of healing, learning, and hope. Thank you, Rocky Mountain Detox, for giving me my life back.

I recently was there detoxing from some pretty heavy drugs. I was repetitively dismissed when I told them I was struggling to breathe and my ligaments or my muscles felt out of place. Eventually, after enough advocating (having anger issues according to them), they let me go to the hospital. Earlier that morning I had to sign a contract that “I would not let bodily fluids on the bed.” Because I had to change the sheets after I had a bowel movement that I did not feel and was consistently shamed for it as embarrassing as it already was. I was yelled at walked all over called basically crazy talked about disrespected, called names and when I was reacting by crying and saying I couldn’t breathe After asking to leave to get my phone, (which was not protocol so I could not get my phone) I Call the police because I felt like I was the only person on my side and I was being made to be a Crazy addict Who is just making up health problems. They packed all of my stuff, throwing it in a bag and and told me to leave because I was causing a scene Scene At this point, I was not talking to anybody And struggling to breathe by hyperventilating. After this traumatic experience, I ordered myself Lift and ended up going to my friends office, which is a physical therapist. She checked me out. Because the hospital specifically said they could not check out unless there was bones out of place Since it was an ER and they weren’t specialist. I found out I had scar tissue building From my shoulder To my neck Head chest and hips. The scar tissue was blocking me to breathe and causing a lot of problems. I guess the scar tissue built up after I got. Beat up by my friend this past July which I told staff about. They completely neglected me and treated me like I was crazy and made me feel disgusting I have never been treated like such trash for wanting to get help. I’m going to try physical therapy but based on the amount of scar tissue that is built up overtime if they can’t remove the scar tissue by breaking up. I will have to have surgery, which makes sense because the pain was so severe to the point where I was throwing up and Staff were telling me I had digestion issues and not reporting anything. I complain about but reporting my “ anger issues.” hopefully for their sake I do not have to have surgery because they will be getting notified from my lawyer about a case with malpractice. , I came here looking for help when I was struggling with addiction because of my loneliness and instead, I just got bullied by a bunch of soppy nurses who thought they knew better than me. If you’re struggling addict, I promise you if you go here, they will make sure you know that you’re struggling addict. There’s nothing luxurious about this place. Unless you’re talking about the kind of luxurious that Kim Kardashian possesses in which you will be looked down upon. The lack of education is honestly no surprise because the nursing staff still act like they’re in high school I felt like I was being bullied.

Definitely the best treatment center I've been to yet. I had no friends or family, and I kept getting clean to chase something I had no concept of. This was the only place I've been to that's always helped me out through thick and thin, and has been there for me more than my own blood family has. They planted the seed and taught me what love and connection is, and showed me that I'm worthy of being loved.

This place saved my life! I went in about four weeks ago and was scared beyond words. Jack and Carolyne (spelling?) made me feel at ease immediately. I enjoyed every session, meeting, etc. I only stayed one week, but learned sooo much! The facility is very clean, always stacked with great snacks and comfortable. Everyone who works there is extremely caring and kind. As silly as it sounds, I cried when I left. Thank you for everything you all do! 💕💕💕

Where do I start. This place is great went for 7 day detox and ended up going back for the 30 days residential program. All the staff is loving and carrying. Me doing the 30 days was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. And all sincerity and honesty being at rocky mountain is the Closest to having friends since 2012. [SYNOPSIS] • Their admissions team was amazing, & not only was on top of the communication that prioritized my well-being but were efficient & thorough. For 8 months, I was searching for a detox that also had residency that took my private insurance that I pay for through my university, so it's pretty particular about its coverage (esp. with in-network & what they approve for rehab treatment). They pre-approved everything with insurance ahead of time & if there are any out-of-pocket costs, they will hash that out with you ahead of time, so you aren't blind sighted by out-of-pocket fees with no forewarning. • The Denver location had limited spots temporarily due to facility Maintenace for an unexpected repair on a room, so that required me to wait a few days. I was also offered to go to their location in AZ for immediate detox & recovery assistance if I didn't want to wait a few days for the Denver facility availability. • I got daily check-ins & follow up texts with admissions every day until I got there as well to ensure that I was being taken care of & we were on the same page. Overall, they will try their best to ensure whatever they can do to help find you the resources you need to truly aid in your recovery & healing processes. The whole staff is unique, kind, caring, & overall humanistic. They serve good food & provide other options as well. They are a very accommodating facility. ________ Detailed Review from my POV: • This was my first time seeking help out for my recovery in a professional manner & needed medical detoxing (which was highly advised by my doctor, but I could not find coverage) due to the risks of AWS with alcohol addiction & the severity their withdrawal symptoms that can put you at risk for fatality. Not only did the medical detox work very effectively (& my withdrawal symptoms were more severe, having hallucinations primarily but also previously with DTs as well). Until RMD, I could not find a facility that would require out-of-pocket costs that I couldn't afford, worked with my insurance, and/or took the time to ensure I was getting help with consistent responses + communication from start-to-end. • I initially was only staying a week for my detox, but I decided to stay longer for residency with what my insurance would approve, & their team that handles insurance logistics was on top of figuring that out with them with my plan coverages, worked with me with such flexibility & ease with me trying to figure out what I wanted & needed to do for further care. Once I decided I wanted to stay longer, they were on top of updating me promptly to communicate what was occurring with insurance coverage since I kept readjusting my treatment duration. • They're also very much focused on providing lots of mental health care & psychoeducation that very effectively structured (& that's personally coming from someone like me who's finishing their B.A. in Psychology). They really are centralized on this form on clinical care, & not only focusing pharmaceutical treatment solely. They do not force you to take medications, aside from what's medically necessary for your safety with withdrawals during detox, which is all transparent during intake & throughout treatment. If a provider suggested meds other meds, the discussion for why they feel it could be beneficial & for what occurs. Even so, taking those other meds is optional. Seeking med readjustments is also available! The anatomical structure is crucial IMO, bc it ensures you have your rights with the care you seek, want to receive, & the rights to your own body. • For aftercare with discharge, they referred me to a great IOP facility given my insurance in mind, & with the care I was seeking after discharge. I already have a personal therapist & psychiatrist, so they worked with what I requested with the type of care I am seeking. Overall, they'll assist you to the best of their abilities for what you're seeking & needing with your circumstances.
