I have been going to Dr Monika VanSant for over 10 years now and she is very personable, caring and really takes the time out to listen to what you say to her! I ran into her recently and she actually asked me about something that I told her over 8 years ago and I couldn’t believe that as a doctor with so many patients remembered a conversation we had that long ago! I love the girls (Jen and Linda) in her office they are all very nice and if you need an appointment they get you in right away! I will never change doctors why would I after experiencing Dr Monika, and how comfortable she makes you feel! Girls I want to thank you for being on top of things all the time!!! Kim DiPietro

Wonderful all around! Have been going to Penns Rock for years for everything for everyday illness to weight management, and everything in between. Never have had to wait long for an appointment, staff always pleasant, always listened to my needs and worries and always took time to explain everything to me. Couldn’t be happier with all the care I have received through the years.

I want to give a shout out to Penn's Rock Primary Care. I've been a patient since 2017 and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the providers I've seen have always been attentive. I've had a few situations where I needed assistance with finding a pharmacy that carried my medication and the staff were very patient and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for clients who choose to remain in their homes and communities during treatment. Their services may include transitional support for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient programming. Ambulatory medical detox may be provided for clients at low risk for withdrawal complications. Many programs include evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or caregivers. Addiction counseling and life skills training are common treatment modalities.

Treatments

In Pennsylvania, substance abuse treatment programs can help address addiction and any co-occurring mental health problems. These programs incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation to help you uncover the underlying causes for your substance use and develop new skills to help you manage stress and overcome future triggers which may challenge your sobriety.

I have been going here for years primarily because it's really hard to find a primary care that prescribes sublocade in my area. But this place is absolutely crazy, very worried when my primary care physician cannot do math. I was prescribed a 30-day medication four times a day and she gave me 112 pills! And if that wasn't enough this place is completely impossible to try to rectify THEIR mistakes. You can't get responses back for days, pre-authorizations take almost weeks mostly on their part but if you want their diet program that you pay out of pocket for that's advertising right in front that contains amphetamine that's completely okay. I'm togiving a one star because of the nurses there that have fought for me and have guided me on my recovery I really do appreciate them but that doesn't make up for all the horrible things that go on there. Things were better when Dr Lou was there not much better but better and ever since I just know ahead of time that there's always going to be an issue with my meds. Some people have no choice but to go here and it's not like they're hearing you out when you express concern.
