I spent many years in facillites as a child/teen and this was BY FAR the worst. Out of all the facilities I was in this one was the worst and ended up causing more emotional trauma than I already had. Staff restrained someone I had picked up. Restrained as in 2 grown men and a woman ran up on her and put her on her face busting her mouth and bruising her whole face. Female staff touching male residents, a female resident getting raped by a male staff member. Getting held back in the program for no reason. I would never in my life send any of my children here. I developed heart problems from the constant stress which they didn t believe me I had to wait 10+ months to receive treatment for it when I left. It wasn t all bad but the bad outweighs the good x10. I just heard another horror story from there which prompted me to look it up and see it s sadly still in operation. I m 26 and this was when I was 14. If you truly want help for your child or family member I highly suggest you don t send them to Ramey as it s a punishment instead of treating the source of the problem. I was placed in another facility within 3 months of being released. Therapist was also extremely insensitive and would often push you to tell them deep traumatic things only to forget eht you had just said as if I didn t matter then when you clam back up and stop talking you get in trouble. It s also wild af to me that you have to sit and tell your whole life story down to the traumatic bad things to EVERYONE in your group.

Accepted Insurance

Ramey Estep Homes Inc works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Holistic alcohol and drug addiction treatment centers use recreational therapy to help you find a constructive way to spend your time and manage your stress. Activities can include yoga, team sports, creative arts, and painting. These encourage social interaction, support your physical fitness, and improve your mood, all of which are crucial for maintaining a successful recovery.

Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in Kentucky is not intended for long term use, but it can help you get over the challenging initial phase of quitting smoking. Based on your craving levels and other lifestyle needs, you can choose from a variety of NRT methods to reduce withdrawals and break free from nicotine addiction.

The girls got old cottages . Sat on the floor every day . Found out later boys had nice couches. I should never be forced to talk about my past trauma or anything to peers in order to progress in the program. Restraining people aggressively for non violent offences is abuse. I should not be laid on by 400 lb man till im about to pass out because i cant sit on a tile floor for 8 hrs . The education is a joke that left my credits all over the place . They somehow managed to false positive my drug test after a 5 hr car ride for meth like ew . I was a pothead not a tweaker. They got the kids doing all the yard work on a rediculous amount of acres in boots getting blisters but never get better boots. Generic food . I sat with an abcess tooth for so long . They brush their teeth in a circle before sugary breakfast spit one at a time and dont let you rinse, 100 percent why i even got the dental issues in the first place. Cheap cardboard tampons. Barely get to shave and when you do its in a circle with shaving cream and a cup of water with everyone watching you . Was there a yr and a half and there was only one field trip to a pottery place . Every good review is someone who developed stockholm syndrome to make it out And they truthfully have it. All your bad reviews are the people who made it out by faking their stockholm syndrome, or they aged out.

Wonderful facility, caring staff, they really went above and beyond for me. You have to follow the rules, the ones complaining about ReGroup are not willing to put forth any effort in their own recovery. Thank you, Ramey, for giving me a chance to become the parent/daughter/sister that I was meant to be.

Just saying. I'm gonna do everything to make sure this place is still legit. It was NOT when I went there. I literally almost died there. Luckily my mom was a nurse and saw a medical addition added to my file without her knowing when I went there. I always suffer from migraines. Always have still do, 20 some years later. They were threatening, they were abusive, and even though they admitted me to a hospital in Ashland and were told I was dying, they did NOT tell my mom. They didn't even tell me. All I know is next morning my parents and police showed up, took me out and to local hospital where I had a temperature of 106.3 and a blood sugar count of 31. In the process of figuring it all out, came out there was some money theft going on from someone in admin as well. Idk about now, but that place left scars, and honestly is lucky I never decided to take it all to court

Not a good place. They allow people to walk around high with no consequences, and just lay around being high so they can keep you around as long as possible to charge your insurance. I went and got my Ged as soon as possible and started a job a week later, to ramey those were red flags because their goal is to have people who they can get the most insurance money out of but since I was actually trying to better myself they took any situation they could find to get me out to bring in a hopefully fresh active addict to exhaust their insurance for as long as they can. I was discharged midprogram because I was leading towards getting my life together and that's not what they want. They kicked me out for supposedly "missing" 1 individuals session with the therapist even tho I showed proof I was in her classroom ON TIME. They could careless, didn't ask me anything about it further and while I was on my trip to dentist they called to tell me I couldnt come back or get my clothes and that they will pack my clothes for me and send it to a random place that I have to go pick them up from.
