About Recovery Works London

Recovery Works–London, is located on South Laurel Road in London, Kentucky. They provide detox and residential/inpatient treatment for adults who have substance use disorders. The residential facility is open 24/7, but their administrative staff is only available during normal business hours.

About the Center

The London location is situated in a rural area with plenty of natural scenery. The Daniel Boone National Forest is pretty close by. London is also home to Harland Sanders Museum and Levi Jackson State Park, so if outdoor excursions are possible, you might be able to pick up new interests in town that can be healthier ways to cope with stress instead of turning to drugs.

And let’s talk a bit about the center as well. It’s a medical clinic for sure, but there are plenty of home-like accents to make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed. The color scheme varies throughout, so you can find a spot to make it your own. There are TVs and artwork scattered throughout, and the cafeteria has a full kitchen. You’ll probably share a room with a bunkmate, but there’s plenty of space so you can also get some privacy.

Meds and Treatment

At the center, you’ll partake in medication assisted treatment like Vivitrol and Suboxone to help reduce withdrawal pains. There’s also a heavy emphasis on the 12 Steps and fellowship via therapy. Education workshops are required and your family will also be involved with your recovery.

They take Medicaid and plenty of major insurance providers. They don’t accept out-of-network plans, so those clients will have to pay out of pocket. Contact them if you have any questions about payment plans.

This place is insane I had to walk 5 miles back from the hospital because there phones was broken I wasn’t the only person who had to walk. I also have stomach and heart issues and they was not getting my heart meds and was limiting my stomach meds I AM SUFFERING STILL even after leaving ama due to a situation that happened with another patient and my health I can’t stop my stomach from being in pain anymore because how long I was limited from my meds my meds don’t work anymore like they are supposed to. They seemed nice at first some people there are good but others is just not good especially Debbie. Debbie has the attitude and speaks so horrible against other patients. Saying things that makes u wish u wasn’t there at that facility. And when I filed a grievance NO ACTION AGAINST HER. How is she gonna tell someone if they have adhd or not just because she didn’t see the adhd act up in the moment and tell me my plan was stupid and I should hear myself right now. And also told me my grandparents didn’t pick up because they didn’t want me like excuse me they want me they was just busy with my kid.

Accepted Insurance

Recovery Works London works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

12-step icon12-Step

Participants in 12 step programs attend regular group meetings, which are free, anonymous, and open to the public. Most communities offer multiple meetings daily, with specialized formats, including programs for seniors, teens, and families, widely available. 12 step recovery prioritizes participants' spiritual, emotional, and psychological growth and healing to support their sustained sobriety. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring from a self-selected sponsor as they work through the 12 steps of recovery.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those in crisis situations that may increase their risk of relapse. Clients reside at the inpatient treatment center for the length of the program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Inpatient treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care and extensive addiction counseling and recovery education using CBT, DBT, RBT, motivational interviewing or other psychotherapeutic approaches.

Treatments

Alcoholism is a term used to describe a level of drinking that causes harm to a person's health. Also known as alcohol addiction or alcohol use disorder (AUD), the dependency involves a strong, often uncontrollable urge to drink. This condition is treatable through alcohol rehab in Kentucky. Programs typically involve supervised detox, behavioral treatments, medications, and mutual-support groups.

Drug rehab in Kentucky often starts with detox, then includes inpatient or outpatient treatment, and continues with aftercare support. Specific methods used during each of these phases varies, but often include individual and group counseling, medication, and recreational therapies.

mental-health iconMental Health And Substance Abuse
opium iconOpioid Addiction

In Kentucky, comprehensive substance abuse treatment programs are available to address addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders. Typically, treatment programs offer various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization. Treatment activities include individual and group therapy, recovery support meetings, evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation. Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Kentucky involves learning to recognize unhealthy thinking patterns and developing problem solving skills to cope with life's challenges. It will help you have greater confidence in your abilities so you can change your patterns of behavior and break free from substance abuse.

Typically, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in Kentucky involves four types of therapy sessions. You'll participate in a pre assessment, skills training in groups, individual therapy, and telephone crisis coaching. The goal is to improve your skills for coping with daily emotions and life challenges.

Family therapy provides families with a structured environment to address the complexities of addiction. You work with an experienced therapist to develop effective strategies for supporting your loved one's recovery while focusing on the well being of each member of the family unit.

Men and women in Kentucky participating in group therapy learn to express their feelings and struggles with drug addiction in a non judgmental atmosphere. Your peers can offer you empathy and encouragement because they understand your journey to recovery. This fosters a sense of community and belonging that may extend far after group therapy sessions.

In individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction, the therapist and patient work together to address the challenges and triggers that drive addictive behavior. This offers a customized approach to a healthier, substance free life.

Life skills equip you to obtain and maintain employment, establish healthy relationships, develop a healthy daily routine, manage your finances, and practice self care. Because these are an important part of successful recovery, life skills training should be an integral part of your rehab in Kentucky.

Several techniques are key to motivational interviewing in Kentucky. Your therapist will use open ended questions, affirm your strengths, reflect your responses back to you, and summarize your responses. This allows you to identify any discrepancies in your current situation and your future goals, which can motivate you to make changes.

This is one of the most aggravating places of all times. They didn’t take me to court after telling them CONSTANTLY that I needed to go, for them to tell me I didn’t tell them. Then some guy that was also in there had to help me go to 14 different people just for them all to ignore it basically. Now, once i left, they kept my medicine and left me sick, I’ve called 14 times and either no one answered or they transferred me to the wrong place, and this is after waiting a day and they were supposed to send my medicine in, but they never did. Now I can’t get it filled for two weeks. They also cheated me 6 of them. I only received two at the place and they were supposed t be 28 now I’m getting 22 if I ever do actually get them. Nothing but hassle after hassle. The nurses very few of them actually do their job, they kept my stuff for two days and I couldn’t even change and I had nothing to wear and it freezing cold. This isn’t even all of it. Stupid place. Only two nurses, the peer support and the lady that’s the operations manger or something up front was helpful and done all they could. No one told me the rules or the times or anything , they just dropped me off and a few hours later showed me my room and that’s it. I didn’t know how anything worked there. Will not ever go back!

The only reason I gave this business a one star is because there wasn’t anything below one my son has been there for almost three months and he got threatened by them saying they that they would have him put into trillium Center this doesn’t go over to well with his father and myself not to worry though I will be having him to go to arc to a place that I know he will definitely be getting the help he needs by the way he volunteered to enter treatment so there for he can choose another place

Response from the owner

We understand how challenging this journey can be and if you’d like to discuss this further, please reach out directly to (606) 260-8962. We hope to hear from you soon.

Terrible experience for my grandson. The staff were rude and didn't seem to care about him being triggered about the location he was at. I had to transport him myself to another facility. The recovery works in georgetown is by far the better pick if anyone is thinking about getting help. These people are only in it for the money.

Response from the owner
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Geri. If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out directly at (606) 260-8962. Thank you again.
