Negligent and incompetent. Building is not ADA compliant and there are zero excuses for that; it endangers patients and staff, who are not given any assistive tools. Therapists regularly late, 5-15minutes plus an attitude that you are leaving as they are nonchalantly strolling in at the 15minute mark; they think they are capable of diagnosing or ruling out a concern in 5min without actually going into it plus an absurd attachment to disorders that require pure cherry picking of symptoms to match while disregarding previous case history completely. Instead of just going hey, we got that wrong and striking it, they will mark "not resolved". They advertise in person, but you drive there and pay for parking for a laggy and poor quality (they are aware of it) telehealth consult with the Dr in their office-I wish I was joking. When you finally see the Dr, he does NOT listen to patient concerns and brushes them off-always next appointment-and you will be out in 15min (I do wonder how they are billing patients insurance...) Clarvida/RedCo needs to be investigated by the state.

Unfortunately, this is one of the only in-person therapy places in Stroudsburg. I say "unfortunately", because they have not had a psychiatrist on shift in many months. Instead, they have hired a nurse practitioner, 'Mr.Fucci' who has near to no idea how important altering meds can be. There have been multiple times where Fucci has prescribed me the wrong medication, not just once, but at least 3 times. You can tell that he does not genuinely care for his client's well being. The only actual psychiatrist who had left this place was very unprofessional as well. During one of my appointments, she was speaking on her personal cell phone about a custody battle, and something about court (while I am paying for my session).Almost everyone here is unprofessional at their jobs, minus my therapist who actually cares and does his job pretty well. He is still very underpaid regardless. You have to wait over a month to book an appointment with Fucci, if there is even an open spot, for a b.s. and rushed appointment. This place is supposed to be for people who are struggling and want to reach out for help, yet some staff, and the people who run "Clairvita", or Redco don't seem to actually care about you or the help you need. They just want your insurance money or cash from your pocket. They even call you "consumers" on their front desk signage. There have also been times where the front desk staff have canceled my appointments (that I have confirmed) because they failed to reach me and tried to give my confirmed appointment to another patient. I know this because my therapist actually told me so, and said they were lying about some technical issues with their system. Very unprofessional. It is unfortunate for those of us who have no choice but to go here for treatment. Stay strong to you out there also dealing with this place. Sometimes they can make a bad day worse for us.

Accepted Insurance

Redco Group Behavioral Health Services for Outpatient works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Alcoholism is a syndrome of dependent alcohol use. Also called alcohol use disorder (AUD), the symptoms include craving alcohol, not being able to stop drinking, and feeling anxious or irritable when not drinking. For many people, alcohol rehab in Pennsylvania is a beneficial treatment. Programs offer many levels of care, including medical and behavioral therapies.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

In Pennsylvania, substance abuse treatment programs can help address addiction and any co-occurring mental health problems. These programs incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation to help you uncover the underlying causes for your substance use and develop new skills to help you manage stress and overcome future triggers which may challenge your sobriety.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image

Child Program

The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Zero stars if I could, this place is a sham and needs to be investigated thoroughly top to bottom. The nurse who handles the medication and return calls needs a SWIFT reminder to humble herself and change the way she talks to people who are either emotionally unstable or mentally unstable because one of these days someone is going to lose their control and let this lady have it. The docs are a joke and do more harm than good. I suggest that if you expect things to go smoothly, not interfere with your child's well-being, then go some place else that actually has qualified docs and therapist. The lack of professionalism and consistency is going to get them caught up in a lot of litigation, all it takes is that one right person to know the routes to take to ensure this scam of a place is shut down.

Normally, I don’t have a problem with them. But I have had a craptastic week. Yesterday I went into this place to see the doctor. Before I went in, I was in a room talking to someone about my struggles this week alone. The normal appointment is supposed to be 20 minutes. Well … They took me an hour early. The doctor didn’t even ask how I was. I had trouble understanding him. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I did however manage to get him to up my medication. PS. The two stars are for my therapist! 😁 I’d give her the full 5, but I complained about the doctor in the post.

First off, their building is not handicap accessible and warrants concern alone. When I asked about this, I was told “we are not that kind of doctor” and laughs it off. To my amazement, they also managed to send my prescription to “Pocono Pharmacy” located of “CVS, Pennsylvania.” You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Would give zero stars if I could for the TAY Program specifically. The staff lacks empathy and understanding, they're also very ablesit. I've been discharged from the program unfairly due to my autism, which was well documented to them but was never once looked over. Don't waste your time if your considering the TAY program, they set you up to fail and do not care about their clients at all. Taking them to court.

If I could give zero stars I wouldn’t even give one…several last minute canceled therapy appointments and dr appointments. They sometimes don’t even call to tell you that your appointments been canceled. They canceled all my sons therapy appointments over the past month and then today canceled my child’s dr appointment for not seeing his therapist which THEY KEEP CANCELING!!! Don’t waste your time or money on this place. They don’t care about you or your child’s needs. Horrible service and people.

Terrible experience, treated unfairly in the TAY housing, told I didn't make an effort for other housing options once the 2 year lease had been up, mind you, they're supposed to be for those with mental and emotional illness, to top it off therapy sessions didn't last after my grandma had passed and 3 missed appointments while I had been dealing with Emotional issues, another pick and choose kind of place overall, as of 2017 to 2019.

Redco workers are truly amazing. Very friendly and very open minded. They don't push all kinds of medications and they don't switch them so much like other places. They truly help with keeping your moods stable. Gotta be open and honest for mental health care or its not going to be good. I totally recommend Redco.
