About Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio

They’re situated in a calm rural setting with open fields and farmland. They’re relatively close to natural attractions like Mohican State Park and Knox Lake. Nature rich settings like this one offer restorative benefits that can aid your healing and recovery if you take advantage of them.

Knox Area Transit provides limited bus routes within Knox County. This may not grant you quick access to the facility. Private transport is your best bet. The facility sits along the Blackjack Road. Nearby areas are easily reachable via State Route 36 and State Route 13. It takes an hour of driving to get to the location from Columbus and 48 minutes from Newark.

The thing is, you might not even need to visit the clinic to receive the care you need. The facility offers both in person and remote care options. If office visits won’t work for your schedule then you can acces their online resources. That said, the facility provides a safe and relaxing outpatient space. Appointments occur in a well appointed office and the rooms are completely private.

Treatment begins with a thorough assessment where your problems and strengths are identified. Their clinical professionals will create a custom treatment plan based on your assessed needs. Your personalized care plan guides the treatment support. This primarily involves group therapy alongside individual sessions and psychoeducation classes. These are geared towards helping you develop strong coping skills that encourage a sober lifestyle and relapse prevention.

Family therapy is also an important component of the recovery program especially for adolescents. Family therapy helps strengthen your support network by rebuilding trust and improving communication. You may receive highly specialized services if relevant to your lasting recovery efforts. This may include trauma therapy or attending specialized groups such as anger management or dialectical behavior therapy.

They also offer medication assisted treatment to help people with opioid use issues or alcoholism. This technique uses counseling alongside FDA approved meds to deliver “whole person.” The meds tackle the physical symptoms by alleviating painful withdrawal and eliminating cravings. Counseling helps you address the psychological symptoms.

The facility also provides 24/7 hours crisis intervention services. These programs can be helpful if you or your loved one is struggling with a severe mental health or substance use crisis. They’ll stabilize you and provide treatment support during such situations. They may also refer you to their residential clinic if that’ll better serve you.

Service here has went downhill over the last five years wouldn't honestly recommend anyone come here so worried about drug abuse that they quit helping the mental health patients and when they do it's to give them an allergy or blood pressure pill that doesn't really help can't seem to keep any staff how are they supposed to help with long-term care when they can't keep staff longer than a year or two

Told me I was mad, when I was not yelling or feeling angry. Told me I have schizophrenia when I have never seen anything, nor believed in an unrealistic thing. They even thought I was selling my pills when I told them I needed a refill (I understand I may have lost them, but I did NOT sell any of them. Never done anything like that in my life.) Be careful with this service because I am currently trapped in it. I’m not saying it’s a terrible experience, but it has been for me. Be careful. You can overcome your mental illness. You are in charge of you, and they aren’t. Just remember that if you decide to go in. I recommend Columbus instead. Wish I could say it’s been a positive experience but in all actuality I’ve learned to put on an “I’m okay!” mask when I go in there.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. Had a provider tell me that he didn’t like my treatment because he was “Christian” and put me on Rexulti which is $900 for a refill BHP said that I could get free samples from them and everything was fine for a year. They turned around and stopped giving me the samples when one of their partners called (BHP NEVER INFORMED ME OF THIS) and a guy asked for my personal information over the phone. I refused to give it to him because I didn’t know he was s affiliated with BHP. Tammy took my rexulti from me KNOWING that it helped. THEY WILL ALSO NOT CALL WHEN YOUR MEDS ARE IN

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. Mental health and alcohol/drug treatment services are provided for youth and adults including group therapy, family therapy and individual therapy.

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. The Vocational program helps adults and youth obtain and maintain employment through skill building, career exploration, job placement and job retention activities.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
