Not the same level of care I'm used to at non profit hospitals. I feel rushed out the door without proper examination. Everything hurts. They called police on me when I was asking for a nurse administrator so I started filming my experience. They told the officer I was punching holes in the walls and throwing supplies everywhere... officer DeLucca was dumbfounded. I couldn't walk on my own. I was supposed to have a rollator and the nurse made me hobble out without one after she dropped me on the ground.

absolutely horrible experience my son had with this hospital and Dr. Lahurd! My son was in a skiing accident and unconscious for over an hour when he woke up he could not remember things about his past. He is a student at Bradford and nine hours away from home. The doctor refused to take my concerns seriously. he was rude to me on the phone when i tried to explain his past medical information about his traumatic brain injury that he had three years prior. the doctor said "he looks fine" dr lahurd was rude and disrespectful to me. I drove all night long to talk to the doctors and they released my son to an empty lobby five minutes before I got there. he requested to have his CAT scan given to him on disc and was completely ignored.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

This is the worst hospital ever the way they treated my wife is absolutely horrible The staff is so rude the doctors don’t know what they’re doing and they discharged my wife without even being able to hardly walk, then didn’t offer a wheelchair and not to get her to the vehicle then she passes out have to dial 911 from the parking lot of the ER room because nobody would help and top that all when we got discharged had to go find somebody because they left IV ports still in her. This hospital is like a horror film.

I want to give a review in regards to getting a copy of a mammogram that I needed for my upcoming mammogram. I spent over two weeks trying to get a copy mailed to me. I called Bradford regional Medical Center, radiology department and spoke with Carly. She explained to me that it can be sent to a doctor or hospital of my choosing. She explains it so well and I very appreciative of all that knowledge. She did an awesome job and should be given like a free bonus of something to thank her for doing a great job.

Registration was packed, waited a half hour! Why TF there were only 2 people working is ridiculous. Only to go up to Xray and wait another 20 mins before I walked out without being seen. And I was the only person in the waiting room! Not everybody is retired and has all day to sit around and wait. I do not get paid when I am sitting at the hospital for an hour.

Arrived for a appointment 10 minutes late because of weather the sign states you could be rescheduled after 15 minutes which is fine but we sat there for 5 minutes giving info to the person on the computer then the other person said we were to late so we had to reschedule for a different day which is a 40 minute drive there and back. Only reason we picked this hospital is because it was the only one available.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Dear Crashtestdummy,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We apologize for the inconvenience you faced regarding your appointment. My child cut her finger while carving pumpkins for her birthday and cut her finger on a very sharp Cutco knife! After getting through some of the hysterics and rising with mild soap and water, off to BRMC ER we went! Greeted by some amazing registration staff and signed in. Triage nurse came out and took us back and did the normal questions, and met with Kaylie the PA. Took a quick look and was assured that a little medical glue would do the trick. About 20 minutes later and we were all fixed up and headed home! Thank you for treating my little girl like a rockstar and fixing her up with a good story to tell at school!
