About Central Florida Treatment Center

Everyone’s timeline is different but most people continue with MAT for at least several months before they can wean off the medication. However, you can start other treatments such as counseling while in an MAT program.

One of the nice things about Central Florida Treatment Center is that it offers multiple treatment modalities in one place. They offer individual, family and group counseling sessions to help you understand and cope with the emotional, social and spiritual facets of addiction as well as the physical. It’s great that they offer family therapy in addition to the standard individual and group sessions since involving your loved ones in recovery can be very beneficial. Also, their team will be there to supervise and support you when it is time to taper down your dose of Suboxone, methadone or a similar medication.

Several past clients recommend this facility and say the staff are compassionate and capable. The interdisciplinary team includes nurses, masters level counselors, certified addiction specialists and social workers. Beyond helping you overcome substance use, they can also help you set the groundwork for a healthy, productive life after drug rehab. It may feel like you’ve lost control of your life due to addiction but this team can help you take the reins again.

I do not recommend at all. I dose every other week I pulled up at 1031 I watched the man lock the door. I explained i had an emergency my 80 year old father who i take care of fell and fractured his femur and went on life support. I explained they had no compassion just we lock the doors at 1030. The real kicker there was a patient still inside dosing and Colleen said they are supposed to give a 5 minute window. The other kicker I am never late. Very disrespectful then they charge you for days you miss. They really need to be reported and get audit.

On Monday 12/22/25 I went to Central Florida Treatment Center on Nebraska ave and lawnwood in Ft. pierce where I go for my methadone treatment once a week every Monday I was hit with a large bill and The counselor who I was assigned to (Ryan) knows my situation so the fact that he let me leave the grant to go on insurance with a copay is mind blowing every time he meets me it’s the same bs i just moved here still looking for work and staying sober etc etc so he basically threatens me that if I can’t pay anything I won’t get medicated and in a very condescending tone. So I told him What if i can’t afford this and end up using and overdosing because that’s a large bill and we all know we will not go through withdrawal we would use instead and I’m sure he knows this as well…so I told him just that and all he does is shrugs his little shoulders with that oh well facial expression and in his smugness tone “oh well that’s your decision”….so I lost my cool…all i did was say a few words and so he said call the police!!! If he can’t handle what I said he in the wrong profession..so I kicked the front door open as I walked out…I waited there for the police and ended up getting kicked out What I don’t understand is why didn’t he say starting next Monday you have to make a payment in advance of your medication this morning you know trying to work with me be reasonable not just hitting me with this attitude and why did they even let the bill get up to $1200 before telling me anything also few weeks prior to this incident i had a hold on me Ryan would just override it few weeks Ina row and not speak to me or tell me about a active bill… I kept insisting to Ryan I want to go back on the grant I can’t afford a copay. Though at the time of this incident I Was going through withdrawal and lost it I shouldn’t of said what I said.. I know Very poor decision on my end but even worst on his as substance abuse counselor. He escalated the situation by threatening me with no payment no medication and his insane response to what I would had have to do if I couldn’t get the $$ No caring total lack of professionalism This counselor seemed happy to see me in that condition he is such a horrible counselor/individual.never gave me resources never did anything helpful for me all he did was ask the same questions wit the same obvious answer every session…he shows no emotion care or compassion towards an individual who comes for help to improve himself. Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
