About Central Florida Treatment Center

Everyone’s timeline is different but most people continue with MAT for at least several months before they can wean off the medication. However, you can start other treatments such as counseling while in an MAT program.

One of the nice things about Central Florida Treatment Center is that it offers multiple treatment modalities in one place. They offer individual, family and group counseling sessions to help you understand and cope with the emotional, social and spiritual facets of addiction as well as the physical. It’s great that they offer family therapy in addition to the standard individual and group sessions since involving your loved ones in recovery can be very beneficial. Also, their team will be there to supervise and support you when it is time to taper down your dose of Suboxone, methadone or a similar medication.

Several past clients recommend this facility and say the staff are compassionate and capable. The interdisciplinary team includes nurses, masters level counselors, certified addiction specialists and social workers. Beyond helping you overcome substance use, they can also help you set the groundwork for a healthy, productive life after drug rehab. It may feel like you’ve lost control of your life due to addiction but this team can help you take the reins again.

I am writing to express my deep concerns about the treatment center I am currently attending. My intention is not to attack anyone personally, but to highlight serious issues that are affecting the care and recovery of myself and others. From my experience, many of the counselors here appear disinterested in their work and unwilling to genuinely listen to clients. It often feels as though they lack the training, empathy, and awareness needed to effectively treat people with substance use disorders. This is not just a matter of style or personality—it’s a matter of competence and safety. I have also encountered dishonesty from staff, which destroys trust in a setting where trust is essential. The nursing staff often seem indifferent to the physical and emotional needs of patients, creating an environment where we feel neglected rather than supported. Perhaps most troubling, there is a pervasive lack of professional leadership. The current director appears either unwilling or unable to enforce standards of care, and there are alarming concerns regarding her own behavior and fitness to lead. Recovery requires a foundation of respect, compassion, and professional integrity. Right now, this facility is failing to provide that foundation. The harm caused by these deficiencies is not theoretical—it is real, immediate, and dangerous to the wellbeing of every person in this program. I am requesting that these concerns be taken seriously and that an investigation into the facility’s operations and staff conduct be initiated immediately. Patients come here seeking help, often at the lowest points in their lives. We deserve competent, ethical, and compassionate care.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

I walked into this place 13 years ago with nothing left but a little hope. This place helped me get my life back. The people there are amazing starting with the amazing Katrina at the front desk. She has been there since i started and always has a smile and very understanding. Jessica in the back is another favorite as well as Cynthia. Colleen goes above and beyond for everyone needing help. The doctors are kind and understanding while holding you accountable. I honestly dont think I would be alive today had this place not existed. Words will never express the gratitude I have for this program and the people that work there

Intake day came and I've never felt more at home than ever. From the front desk receptionist to the intake nurse and counselor, everyone treated me with dignity and respect. Dr. Dr. James Autin was extremely understanding which made this so much easier on me. Ty to all the staff nurses and counselors, etc for your kindness and support. !

I transferred from a clinic in Tampa. It has been an easy Transition from the front desk Katrina to the intake nurses. My therapist Janelle has been more than patient and kind with me to address all my questions and concerns. I am so grateful in places like this are open for us addicts in early recovery now coming up on 3 and 1/2 years. The doctor was very kind and nice to me as well. I would suggest any newcomer in the program or family members come to this place for help if they need!

Pros: This place is awesome! Have been going there for a couple years (I have 5 weeks left! Yay!) If you need a change in your life I highly recommend this place. Never did i feel judged for being there. Colleen is -AWESOME!- Seriously, one of the nicest, understanding, helpful, knowledgeable people i have ever met. Cons: Sometimes it takes a long time in there and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Sometimes if a nurse is having a bad day or someone pisses her off she'll take it out on everyone and go super slow for awhile on purpose. There is a high turnover rate with the staff/counselors. Advice: Don't piss off the nurses! 🙃 (kinda like don't bite the hand that feeds you) Overall: Highly recommend this place!

Response from the owner
Thank you Cody for your comments, both pro's and con's. We will certainly address them to improve your treatment experience.

No contact, no warning when they close and never anyone that can help. Other than that things would be great. But it’s the lack of concern.
