About Great Circle Recovery Portland Opioid Treatment Program
Great Circle Recovery is an addiction and mental health treatment organization with two Oregon locations, including the facility in Portland. The clinicians focus on medication assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals with opioid addictions. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde administer the program. It’s the first tribally owned and operated MAT program in Oregon.
The program is open to all individuals, regardless of their tribal enrollment, with priority given to Native Americans. The program accepts the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) and is operated with tribal/federal funds. The location is easily accessible and intersects with lines 9 and 72 of the public transit system.
Reaching Unhoused Individuals
The facility offers a mobile clinic that offers easier access for clients, especially the unhoused. The mobile clinic serves specific locations daily, such as near the PDX Saints Love Day Center. Supportive services address transportation, food and housing needs and they’ll refer clients to further medical care when appropriate.
Reducing Treatment Barriers
In an effort to reduce treatment barriers, the staff offers same day access whenever possible. The clinicians foster belonging and connection and provide culturally sensitive treatment. The facility has a welcoming environment with indigenous murals and artwork in the clinic spaces.

Other Forms of Payment
Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care
Clients who wish to remain in their homes while in recovery may elect to enroll in an outpatient rehab, many of which offer evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients' schedules. Most outpatient facilities provide multiple levels of care to align with clients' evolving needs, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) for clients who require robust support and supervision. Addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training are the most common treatment modalities.
