About MedMark Treatment Centers Columbus East

MedMark Treatment Centers Columbus East is part of the BayMark Health Services company. They have more than 50 CARF accredited treatment centers in the U.S. This center on East Main Street in Columbus, Ohio, offers opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment programs that include counseling for co-occurring mental health disorders, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and support services for adults. The center accepts commercial insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. They also accept veteran insurance plans.

Dual Diagnosis Services in Columbus, Ohio

Many clients with OUD have co-occurring mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder. This center offers supportive mental health services to treat both disorders and get to the root of your addiction so you can better avoid using substances in the future.

You’ll have individual counseling during which the therapist will help you discover how your addiction relates to your emotions. The therapist provides tools and techniques to help you avoid a relapse.

Group counseling is part of their effective strategy to help you maintain sobriety. You’ll be with other clients who have similar experiences and can offer support while you also learn to support others.

Guest Medication Services

A unique aspect of this program is their guest medication service. Even if you’re not a patient you can receive medication from the treatment center for as long as 30 days. This is great for people who travel. Talk to your counselor several days in advance so they can coordinate your medications with this treatment center.

Accepted Insurance

MedMark Treatment Centers Columbus East works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients who need frequent, high-level care but do not require, or choose to forgo, inpatient treatment. Most intensive outpatient rehabs offer a minimum of nine hours of treatment weekly, though clients may receive up to 20 hours of care as needed. These programs typically combine various treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction and recovery education, and evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage.
12-step icon12-Step
Many treatment centers base their recovery models on the 12 step programming standard, which combines intensive peer support with spiritual, psychological, and emotional growth. Participants in 12 step recovery programs are expected to regularly attend group meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and open to the public. They are also required to select a sponsor to guide them through the recovery journey. These programs deploy spiritual principles to foster participants' self-understanding, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Some couples therapy in Ohio is designed as short term treatment to address a specific problem in the relationship, such as anxiety, depression, or addiction. Other couples therapy may focus on general strengthening of the relationship by improving interactions.

Family therapy offers a group time to collectively make an effort to understand and combat the issues and challenges associated with addiction. Therapists work with family members to establish healthy boundaries between each other and their loved one who is addicted, improve emotional support systems, and work together toward a sustained long term recovery.

I love the workers there! From DeShawn, Kelly & Mrs.Pam! Mrs.Pam is a counselor here who TRULY CARES! She'll listen, give support along with helping you cope in your struggle. No Bull Grap bc you're just filling yourself and that doesn't fly. Just be aware that you're responsible for your actions at the end of the day and know that if you're ready for the next step. There's someone who cares, Mrs.Pamela Ashley is AMAZING!

came into dose today and i forgot my lock box, another patient offered me his and said he had a exta one, i went inside to dose and was informed that i wasn't allowed to dose and accused me of selling my medication. for one.. i didnt have anything to sell..and secondly if i was buying drugs it wouldn't be methodone. i take 100 mg a day and my husband is on 150mg. its not rite playing games with my life, i take methodone bc it allows me to live a normal quality of life i take my recovery seriously. I dont know what to do, pam is evil, she shamed and belittled me infront of 20 other patients. I cant get anyone to answer the phone at the office, i dont know who to call to get cleared of this false accusation. Pam always is rude and singles us out. I hope they watch the camera ad figure out the truth.. but here i sit sick bc she wouldn't let me dose, im scared of relapse. Please help i dont know what to do im so afraid

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
