My husband went here for a drug/alcohol evaluation and the staff member Amanda Hardin is the one who talked with my husband and did the evaluation. Well we get the letter covering the evaluation. What it said was wrong information such as places and times. Inaccurate or just completely false information. The way it was written, was unprofessional, looking like a juvenile, wrote it. And the letter stating my husband is a raging alcoholic Which my husband doesn’t even like alcohol and never has and never even liked me drinking because he never likes the smell of it. So that is a flat out lie and slander. Amanda Hardin how many other people have you done this too???

If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would. The organization has to be corrupt to an extent. Provided all the money they take in from patients, their facility should be state of the art. In reality, it is not. Small class rooms. Dirty spaces. Horrible people. It really has one question, who in the upper echelon of the company plays golf with the correct court officials. Racket. First, the class material seems to be the instructors "flavor of the week" with a little bit of MATRIX/12 step thrown in whenever they're feeling perky. However, if they were unaware of a State representative attending class then you would probably receive little to no guided curriculum. A ton of Gossip, with the warning "whatever is said in the class stays in the class" yeah, right... Secondly, there is no communication between the employees that teach classes and administration. In fact, it is open knowledge that "teachers" don't like to communicate with administration and don't "get along". Therefore, if any pertinent information needs to be disseminated between administration and the line level associates, it won't happen. All you need to do is check out their google reviews and compare it to similar organizations in the field to see there is an issue. If you have the ability to choose a different organization, then do it. However, if you find yourself in a predicament that doesn't allow you to choose your treatment center, then document EVERYTHING. Now some constructive thoughts for those in charge. FIND PEOPLE THAT CARE. People that actually want to better society and those less fortunate. The people who struggle with real problems. Employ people that actually want to make a difference. Find leaders that command communication and conformity and that don't let line level employees bad mouth them to the students. It really takes away from the illusion of leadership. In the end, as said above, find another place if you're able. You'll get better care elsewhere.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Many life skills involve coping with emotions and stress. Others involve completing tasks that allow you to live independently. Examples include finding a job, managing finances, and nutrition. During rehab in Georgia, you'll work on any skills that are lacking to ensure you have the tools for success post treatment.

You're more likely to have them call the police on you for asking questions about your treatment plan or billing statement than you are to actually receive help or treatment. Best of Luck and down to New Hope, may they go out of business against superior competition in the most spectacular fashion.

I learned so much attending the classes at New Hope Counseling. Changing learned negative behaviors and re-evaluating your life can be very difficult, especially if you aren't ready to make a change or remove toxic people from your life. If you are truly ready to do the work and remove destructive people/behaviors from your life, I absolutely recommend enrollment in the classes. If you're not ready, yea don't waste your money.
