About New Season Treatment Center – Jacksonville

Addiction-related services at New Season – Jacksonville Metro Treatment Center include mental health assessments, counseling, outpatient programs, detox, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

Mental Health Assessment and Counseling
Assessments help counselors to evaluate participants’ mental health for substance use disorder, the severity, and any co-occurring conditions. The information is used to create an individualized treatment plan, which may involve individual, group, and family counseling.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Outpatient is for individuals who need addiction treatment, but don’t need 24-hour care. Each outpatient program varies, depending on the severity of the participant’s substance use disorder. For example, those with mild addiction may attend a regular outpatient program, whereas those with more severe SUD, may attend an IOP, which requires participants to attend sessions several days a week. The program includes individual and group counseling, skills development groups, and aftercare.

Outpatient Detox
Detox uses medication in an outpatient program to help alleviate painful withdrawal symptoms using FDA-approved medications. Along with managing withdrawal symptoms, clients benefit from recovery education classes and peer support programs. Same day services are available.

Medication-Assisted Treatment for Addiction
The outpatient MAT rehab program includes behavioral counseling, support groups, and medication — like Suboxone — in an outpatient setting. MAT is appropriate for alcohol and opioid use disorders.

I've been a patient here for a long time and have had quite a few counselors but Ms. Regina and Ms. Sandora are by far AMAZING!!!! They go above and beyond at all times. It doesn't matter the issue they always get a positive resolution. Anytime I need to talk their doors are always open. They truly listen and remember the things I tell them even though they deal with hundreds of people everyday. They show true compassion for each and every patient.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills are the core skills you need for daily success. They can include self care, stress management, daily routines, and emotion control. Rehab treatment includes the development of these skills so you have the tools you need for long term recovery.

This place and the people that work there save so many lives everyday! Thank you to everyone for your hard work and dedication to helping our community. If you have a serious addiction to opiates, please stop chancing your life on buying from the streets. This clinic will help you, it is legal and there's no chance it is contaminated with fentanyl. You Can get your life back! 💗🙏

I often joke with my husband, if New Season sold a t-shirt I would wear it. I came here to say the same thing I happily see many other people have said. "This place saved my life!" Not just myself, but my spouse as well. I used to be homeless. I used to be a junkie. I have been so many different things in my life, however, I am no longer either of those. When I came into new season for the very first time I was alone, sweating, shaking, and so so sick. I had missed the intake hours by about 20 mins and I remember feeling so defeated knowing I missed it and would have to go use again to feel better. Tears started streaming my face and the director saw me, introduced himself and personally saw to it that I was able to do my intake and get the medication I needed right away. From then on I met so many wonderful people who have worked under the roof of new seasons Jax, formerly metro Jax for those of us who have been around a while. I can promise you that if you are stuck in that same cycle of out of control addiction and do not know what to do, just give them a call and ask some questions. Work this program the way it is intended and you can get your life back. Going to new season was the best choice I ever made. I am in a place I thought not possible. Thank you New Season. I would also like to put on here, just for the feedback of new season, the old director Shawn/Sean is a very special person and we all miss him dearly, we wish him the best. Personally, myself, I wish I could thank him with his work regarding grant funding, this has helped so many of us after the cut of the healthcare credits last year. Lindsey Gainey will also be greatly missed and was a gift from the lord, this woman helped me at some of my very lowest points. Special shout out to my current counsoler Beth, who is wonderful! I could not ask for a better counsoler and would be devastated if I ever lost her. Ashley Brown, one of the finance officers is always there to answer my questions and ease my mind when it comes to insurance or dosing payment questions, she's amazing. Last but certainly not least, a special thanks to Kenya, who is so hardworking, caring, and pious. They all deserve a huge round of applause and frankly a raise. While I'm at it I will give praise to the nurses in the dosing windows who are the true unsung heroes when I show up 30mins before close to pick up 13 take homes, I am eternally grateful.

Sandora Howard is the most amazing person I ever met there, she actually cares about people. She goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you need to be successful. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't stay on track. She showed me so much love which is important. I owe her my life. So I just want to say THANK YOU SANDORA HOWARD FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
