Would not recommend this place at all for multiple reasons..2 words that say everything "Stay Away" unless your going through physical therapy they do have a great physical therapy program. Most of the nurses don't care about the patient they have one job and one job only that is to hand pills out and I truly question the pills that they give other than the prescriptions that the resident is suppose to have. And they hate family being there all the time it's almost like there trying to hide something. My mother has been to another facility for a year now and has done a complete 180 she's back to herself if she did not go to another facility that cares about her I really don't think she would be around today. Thank God we moved her when we did..Healthsource needs to be shut down.

This review is specifically for mental health or White Pine. A few years ago a friend went for suicide thoughts. She is a a rather young attractive female, and she had a rough upbringing, a horrible things happened to her. Sadly being in the Saginaw area, this is the closest facility for mental health. So The hospital sent her here. While she was here, the put all the adults in the same place. She is a small female in the same place as violent 40 year old schizophrenic men who have not been taking their medications. The only thing they did was force medications down her throat for 5 days and called it good. For 5 days they took everything from her. Took her from her friend's, pets, family, and forced her in this place with scary people, a plastic bed, and you can't even take a crap in peace. Luckily she has good friends and a good primary doctor to actually help her. This place is just here doing the bare minimum to keep poor people of Saginaw coming back to collet money from insurance. They are NOT here to help. If you are reading this and are looking to a place for help, there are a lot of other places that are helpful outside of Saginaw county that actually help with mental health. my recommendation is Pine Rest if you can afford the drive.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
