Much better atmosphere than the Detroit VA. I've had good success using the Saginaw VA services. Like any other healthcare facility they have good days/employees and mediocre days/employees. I can't complain because I get very good medical care at no out of pocket cost. My friends with only Medicare get much worse medical care. In my opinion many people don't appreciate this veterans only benefit However, likewise, some employees don't appreciate their jobs at VA medical centers either.

I was here again but this time I was volunteered in. March,8-19,2025. Let's see how this step down CRU is all about that they had me go to. Health source has changed they separated boys and girls. The boys are allowed to walk 3 halls and the girls only have one hall to walk. Complete favoritism. So they let a fight happen the day after I left. A transgender was also being bullied to the point she cut her wrist. And from what I was told the staff let it happen. I'm not sure how true it is. Courtney and Dr Movva are real good. Some of the newer staff are kind and caring.
Thank you the therapist Renee and Dr Rao and the staff for being there! You guys are all wonderful and treatment was good! I really enjoyed being there! Miss u all November, 2021.

I was a junkie for almost 20 years
years. I went to the center 8/8/2018 and had to leave even b 4 I was ready for medical reasons and to this day I don't touch needles nor do drugs. I even have a medical Marijuana card for pain instead of getting back on pills where my addiction began. Don't get me wrong I still have days I want to use but with the tools I used there in the 45 days I stayed or so. I would like to share my gratitude with the treatment centers staff and the time I spent with my counselors and and I hope they reach out to me one day for my story. Thank you for my life back good and bad it's all me and my family together again. I am so grateful.

Success at Victory is all about your own personal commitments to recovery. I began MMT at Victory in 2010 and left successfully in 2016. When I first started I was not committed to my treatment goals and was threatened with termination on a few occasions. When I started the clinic was fairly new (#408) and they worked with me on getting back on track. While there were some occasions where I felt they were being unnecessarily difficult such as taking away take homes because of a missed appointment or waiting an ungodly amount of time to see the doctor, for the most part I was happy with my treatment. I have been off MMT for six years now and only wish I would have started tapering sooner than I did. Other than that, I can confidently say that Victory clinic saved my life and the fear of having to go back everyday to dose has been a motivator to stay clean. I definitely don't miss dosing everyday at 6am.

I was Here back in 1995 to 97 as a teen. There was maybe 2 staff who seemed to really care about. These used horrible shaming and demoralizing tactics to get us to comply to rules. I wish Luke would come Back 😔.
Love this Place. I really really do. This is why they get 5 Stars from me. Every therapist I had here was amazing! But just because they’re amazing, doesn't mean they’ll connect.
So if you’ve come here and had a bad experience, I’m encouraging you to come back and just try with a different therapist.
Not only dose the staff here fully understands this, but Anyone who has a Mind that’s also their own enemy would understand- A true connection with your therapist can really help and heal you in more ways than one.
I really felt like I was going to dive into the deepest parts of my trauma and actually face this shadow that draped over my everyday life.
Luke made me feel Validated. Strong. Brave. And confident that I infact DID have the strength to overcome and achieve my goals in life. I stopped going for a while because I have issues with Change, and I was comfortable with Luke.
It’s hard to open up to 1 person and having to say goodbye. Then having to do it again.
But Luke wouldn’t want me to give up. So I called again to make an appointment. And I’m going to face this. I’m going to get better.

Saginaw is the 264th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $53553. This is lower than the average cost of $56508 for addiction treatment in Michigan and lower than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Saginaw vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Saginaw. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Saginaw that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Saginaw.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Saginaw, with 4 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. UnitedHealth Group is the 2nd most popular with 4 treatment centers accepting it followed by Blue Cross Blue Shield in 3rd accepted by 4 drug rehabs.
Saginaw has the 217th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Saginaw county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Saginaw or Saginaw county as a whole.
In 2023, Saginaw had the 273rd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 122 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Saginaw. All values are per 100,000 population.
