I love my therapist Amy and the receptionist Nicki. I have been going there for a couple of years, and when I was at my lowest they did wonders for me. From Nicki talking and being so kind to me when I got there, to Amy helping me find myself for the first time. July 9th So sad to see Amy leave but she has helped me to where I can graduate from therapy. She gave me skills to use. I will miss you Amy, but so happy for you. Nikki I am going to miss you. You are so good at making people feel welcome. Thank you both for helping me to be me again ❤️

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! GET THE HELP ITS WORTH IT!!!❤️❤️❤️ I truly can’t say enough about how much the New Oakland Clarkston location changed my life. I came in during a crisis, and I left feeling stable, hopeful, and genuinely happy. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with open arms—there’s no judgment, just compassion, warmth, and professionalism. I was part of the face-to-face program at 28 years old, and everything exceeded my expectations. The group therapy sessions were incredibly powerful and gave me tools I didn’t even realize I was missing. My group leader, Kailee, was with me for the majority of the program and is genuinely one of the most bubbly, kindhearted, and knowledgeable souls I’ve ever met. She created a space that was safe, supportive, and uplifting every single day. Niki, my therapist, is truly amazing—so insightful, attentive, and caring. Dominique, the nurse, is an absolute gem—compassionate, patient, and always there when you need her. And Matt, the psychologist, didn’t waste any time helping me find the right medication and support. He took my concerns seriously and acted quickly, which made a world of difference. The staff here truly care. It doesn’t feel like “treatment”—it feels like a community of people who love what they do and want to help you grow and heal. The food was great every day, the atmosphere was calming and structured, and they even gave us breaks for fresh air, which made a huge difference for my mental health. This place gave me a full toolbox to take with me, and for the first time in a long time, I feel ready. But here’s the truth: you get out what you put in. If you show up, participate, and commit to the process, you will see change. This team will support you every step of the way, but you have to meet them there. What sets New Oakland apart is that their care doesn’t stop when you walk out the door. They set you up with a real plan for continued support—and they actually follow through. I will forever be grateful for the experience I had here. This team helped me find myself again. Thank you, New Oakland Clarkston. You saved me.

I came to Rose Hill in July 2005. I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill for a 'tune up'. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. The program carries on after leaving campus. I'm in the Community Support Program (csp) with some appointments at Rose Hill Center. I highly recommend Rose Hill Center.

I got a lot of support for my mental health. Very professional and they care deeply for each resident. They helped me find my self confidence and self worth. Most importantly they work as a team. I got support not just with my mental health but they provided an autism specialist who greatly improved my quality of my life. I owe Rose Hill so much to my life also the offer DBT therapy which challenged me to improve myself and receive support to reach my goals. My DBT coach Laura gave me hope to a broggter future and helped me with dealing with extreme anxiety. I totally recommend Rose Hill for mental health and people who are on the autism spectrum. Would love to one day share my personal experience in hopes to reach out to people who would benefit services from Rose Hill.

Truly a wonderful opportunity to experience if you’re looking to change your life. Unlike the typical, more “hospital like” residential, Rose Hill encourages independence and helping you build skills to use in the real world. My time at Rose Hill, as a resident, has changed my life. I would say the biggest pros are: You get to keep your phone, they don’t stop you from vaping/smoking nicotine, you can have your car there under certain circumstances, you can go out on “day passes” into the community, there are many outings on a weekly basis, you get to go grocery shopping on a weekly basis as well, and you get your own, decently spacious room. Rose Hill has competent and caring social workers/case managers, therapists and floor staff. People you can tell that truly care. I’d suggest Rose Hill if you want to change your life.

I lived for 9 months and I really liked it very much. They had adult sized tricycles in 2015. I would ride them around on the property to and from the Scripps Mansion and to the circle drive near the men’s treatment center. I tried riding to and from the gym/ physical therapy building where the business offices and printing press for the magazine journal. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .

Guest House offers best-practice, evidence based treatment of addictions and other conditions which may be associated. Their commitment to clients is the foundation of their intensive treatment program, and they support health on all levels. Not only did I get my life back, I'm living a quality of life I didn't even see as possible before treatment. It was hard, hard work, but I'm a much better member of my community now, as well as engaging with life in fuller and more healthy ways. I thank God daily for the gifts and grace I received through treatment at Guest House!

Amazing place and I met some of my Best Friends Here. Dr. Theim is the best at empathizing with you and caring for you. If you have her, appreciate the fact you do. They’re all amazing but I don’t think I could have made it through the first time without her.But the only thing I would change, I had anxiety and paranoid bipolar delusions. I got banned because I couldn’t bring myself to leave my house or stay a day. I do understand why. But really I probably needed the psych ward. But that’s the ONLY thing that I’d change. Great place and people that are here to help,Starting off I'd like to say Methadone saved my life more than once in fact to many times to count, one time was when I acquired a very very large excruciatingly painful cyst on my neck that spread to my collar bone tissue and upon waking up my arm was in extreme pain terrible discomfort and immobile beyond anything I'd ever experienced before but after taking my prescribed dose I could not only move my arm/neck freely to brush my teeth and change my shirt It made it possible to get through the two weeks of intense exhaustion from the building pain I had until I was able to get the large pain removed by a specialist my pain which was awful to say the least was now so much better after 5 minutes of consuming my medication, I've been going here for quite a few years and have earned my way to a comfortable place compared to where I began 15 years ago dope took everything away from me and battling addictions for so many years and chasing dealers on the streets in some of the roughest toughest areas in my travels around the country from Las Vegas and New England to Florida my addictions were chasing me everywhere I tried to run to but now I'm clean and facing life with a clear mindset doing things I wouldn't have done without making the choice to give up and leave the addictions that almost cost me my life on numerous occasions behind me where they belong I'm alot worse for the wear but still here to tell my story so others can hopefully learn what choice to make before the option is expired; It took me many years to learn only GOD & Myself can change my circumstances and nobody else, I'm adding a special shout out to William Loveless for his very friendly exceptional support of me and his other patients and someone I've come to know as a friend and the staff for having so much patience with me over the years when I was not yet myself GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE WITH ME 🙏✊️💯

I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. If you are ready this place can help you amd they will care about you every step of the way. Building is rough but they really do try to keep it clean and functional. I have been getting mental health treatment here for over 10 years now. The care has kept me stable. However if I were in a more severe state I would be concerned for my care. My case manager or therapist would be switched without it being discussed with me, most of the time they would miss my appointment so I would call and be informed that I had a new case manager or therapist. I love my nurse but even my nurse has been switched several times. I’m glad I’m coherent enough to advocate for myself my heart breaks for people who aren’t. The receptionist can do better! Amanda, wow, what an amazing woman. Her flexibility with scheduling is without compare. She made me feel safe and actually used what she gleaned of my personality and life to sculpt a treatment plan instead of having a plan in mind and telling me what to do. 4 out of 5....office woman leaves alot to be desired. Mrs. Kelly or Kelly in the Office is very disgruntled....she gives myself and my son a hard time at every turn. He had a Dentist appointment and needed to check out a bit early to make the appointment. I told him just notify the office. She insisted my grown son....(18 yrs old.....can sacrifice his life in this nations military.) have me call and tell them. When he tried explaining his age of 18 makes him an adult.....she tried to tell him.."Your father files for you on his taxes"......NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE.....what do my financials have to do with a grown mans ability to tell someone when he has to leave early or otherwise? I had to call the School Board and speak to the super attendant....who was appalled at the thought of this woman mentioning a parents financials. The superintendent was great...everything done. So today I asked my son to have my name removed from the automated call list. He is 18 and has been since December. He needs these calls and reminders ...on snow days, half days, etc. I dont need to be called at work for simple reminders that are rather frequent...and border on spam. So he goes in the office today to return a book and have the phone thing rearranged. At which point Ms. Kelly or Kelly or Mrs. Kelly starts right off again with refusing to change it. Again my son reminds her of his age and she ...AGAIN brings up my taxes and who pays what to who. SORRY PARENTS TAXES ARE OUT OF BOUNDS AND ARE IRRELEVANT TO A RESPECTABLE GROWN MAN CHANGING HIS EMERGENCY CARD INFO. This woman not only sits in the office behind a desk at my sons school...and talks to parents with complete disrespect and an awful nasty tone....NOW ...how do you think she is speaking to our kids? The folks in the office need to re-evaluate her position desperately...power trips are not student friendly....these young adults have alot on their plates...and having a young lady treating them badly isnt helpful to attitude or environment...they are turning 18 and being expected to pay taxes, get jobs, enroll for the DRAFT , and be responsible adults. The folks at the schools should be teaching respect, responsibility, and encouraging them to be capable young adults.....THAT DOESNT HAPPEN WHEN YOU TREAT THEM LIKE 7th graders!! If you want these young folks to stay in school speak to them with some mutual respect...AND THE PARENTS....and things will be more comfortable for everyone. Dont sit in that office and talk down to folks and be condescending to parents who call. So again...I called the superintendents office. We spoke about the same things as last time....all is good. My question is...if she is this difficult for the parents and kids to deal with ....over something as simple as changing a few phone numbers around.....one has to wonder how many other road blocks her poor attitude has created for these kids. If he stands up to her in the office and insist she does what he knows should be done without issue....then he gets suspended...so she just talks to them however she sees fit....and the parents too. I will be preparing for a future school board meeting at which point Ms Kelly will be the topic of my time allowed. Unacceptable behavior from an a public employee ...who is suppose to be teaching and leading kids in positive, productive manners. My son has excellent attendance..if not perfect...also is A, B Honor Student...and has 2 jobs and pays taxes...he is literally her PEER. She is no more an adult than him. She works no harder than he. She has no moral right...or legal right to be so rude inconsiderate and disrespectful to anyone for any reason. I am hopeful...at least for other parents sake...that the position gets filled with someone who is a social butterfly and that can treat folks in a nice positive manner....that smiles and does what she can to help parents and students alike. Thats what it is suppose to be about. #TEAMWORK #RAISINGTHENEXTGENERATION #KINDNESS #HELPFULNESS #APPRECIATIVE

I was here for a year, the teachers are decent and depending on who you have they can be super scrict with phones. The lunches can be awful but everyone love chicken days. The drama department and library are extremely underfunded and they don't have many electives. Most of the work is pretty easy but the Senior Project is murder. Lots of people who love the Hard Rock genre so if you like that then you'll make a ton of friends.

I know I’m never alone as long as there is North Oakland Family counseling. I’ve entrusted NOFC to treat my whole family . I know that there is always someone to reach out to . Building that trust over so many years is important . I know next week I won’t have to change therapists . I know I can count on North Oakland to guide me and protect me and make sure my best interests are protected. Elise Finch-Sophiea has been my champion for years and she always has my back . And that’s a good feeling !

I feel so comfortable the moment I step into their building! Each room feels like your just sitting in someone's living room. It immediately puts me at ease. The staff and all the therapists are very welcoming and I feel very supported there. I highly recommend Michael Govier, especially if you're nervous about therapy or have tried others and don't feel like they really listen. He has a great way of making you feel heard and understood and speaks straight to you.

This place saved my life. The people are literally like family. They care and you know they genuinely really care. I’ve never been treated like I’ve been an addict for 30 years, they are compassionate and treat me with such ❤️ I’ve never been successful in sobriety until I met Dr Robinson and his staff. If you need a little time on some of your payment they will work with you within reason. Becky Brian and Lindsey always have a smile when they greet you. And I actually look forward to my counseling because Pam is honestly a friend who cares. She’s so easy to talk to and always there for me. And if you have to go drop it’s always a joy because she’s one of the sweetest people EVER 🫶🏻 I really appreciate all of them and owe them my life ❤️ Thank you so much Recovery Unlimited for helping me sustain sobriety. 😊

I have/continue to love Dr Vora. He is always very understanding and kind. I believe that it is not an easy field to practice in and am grateful. Appointment times are not always when you are seen. But you have his full attention when you are talking to him. I believe problems are caused by outside the office. They have a new corporation that owns them. Now there is a mess!!!!
