This place is completely what you make of it and you have to be willing to go through the work to get better. That being said if you put in the work and are willing to improve, in my experience there is no better place to begin your recovery. I started coming to United Psychological due to a horrible head injury and was off work for over 6 months. Working with Lisa has helped put me back together. At the time of starting therapy, I still didn't have my Bachelor's Degree and wasn't sure if I was ever going to be able to work again. There was a point in my post concussion syndrome that I was worried I would never get better. I was worried I'd have to get on assistance or worse yet take my own life to get out of it. Going through Lisa's rehab program there I am now going for my Master's in CyberSecurity and working a 6-figure job. Something I am greatly thankful to Lisa for and our many difficult therapy sessions. To those of you who have had head injuries, you owe it to yourself to try to build back your brain to its full potential and be able to take on as much as you can. Other than brain rehab and ADHD work I also worked with Lisa on undiagnosed and hidden childhood trauma. Working through this has given me the courage to take on even more challenges in life and stop holding myself back from doing better. All of the time and hard work we both put in has gotten me to the point in my life now where I believe I can take on anything and I am capable of far more things than ever before. Lisa, if you're reading this thanks for helping me put my life together and thanks for helping me move forward. I couldn't have done it without you!

They have been amazing. Their testing was great. The school report for my son was so helpful for the 504 plan and the IEP. Dr. Fisher is so supportive and thorough. The care providers are just great. They have helped our family in so many ways. Their interventions have literally changed our lives for the better. Are they perfect?- no. There has been the occasional hiccup with scheduling and billing. But they apologize and fix anything that is wrong. I hold them to the same expectations I hope others have for me. People aren’t perfect. And occasionally a person makes a mistake. Give them grace and move on. The service they provide is worth any small inconvenience. Don’t hesitate to contact them for support.

I’ve been going to Pine Rest now for over ten years. I used to get medication from my doctor until I switched doctors and my new doctor told me “I’m not a psychiatrist and I’d like you to see someone who knows all about mental health.” So she referred me to Pine Rest. I love that I can see both my psychiatrist and my therapist all in one location so they can communicate with each other to do what’s best for me! I’ve never had a single issue there except with one person and I handled that by switching to someone else. The receptionists are all super friendly and helpful. The medical assistants and nurses are very kind. I recommend this place every time I know someone needs to be seen. And it’s always clean and an inviting atmosphere. Thank you all!

I would be willing to put my life savings down that anybody who speaks poorly of this program never finished. Anybody who’s graduated would have nothing to, but good things to say. I watched so many guys leave within the first few months. Most of these guys have never stepped foot in a church or open the Bible so when they find out there’s actual rules they typically kick and scream and call their mommy and daddy and do and say whatever they can to leave. I’ve heard guys accuse people of sexual harassment Just to get out of completing the program. Just remember, a drug addict will find any excuse.. It was actually pretty crazy. How many guys would leave within the first few months and then their parents would call in and inform the office that their kid overdosed. Usually it was to try and encourage the other guys to stay. I’m not just saying that. Within the one year I was there. It probably happened 15 or 20 times Wirk has left early and then died. So any bad reviews you see on here I would disregard. The success rate for people who graduate is 98%. I am one of those people. 15 years sober. IV heroin and cocaine use. I was homeless. Now. I have three children I own my own house. Ive made it through a hard divorce without relapsing. This program gives you all the tools you need. And it gets better every time I go back to visit. Constantly doing remodels and upgrades. This is a blessed program.

I was just recently successfully discharged from KPEP Muskegon and I must say that I was treated with great respect by the majority of the staff there. I was never disrespected by the majority of the staff. However, KPEP Muskegon now has a new program director, Keith Head, and I have to be honest, once he took that position, he totally flipped. He now ignores residents when they "try" to speak with him. He admits to shredding case notes sent to him without even reading them. When before when he was a therapist he made time to talk to residents. Therapist Charles Nash is a very rude person....thats all I can say about him. Now, my therapist LISA LAMPHIERE was absolutely fabulous and so easy to talk to and open up to. The security staff: Steve K, Dustin, Ron Baker, Austin, Don, Mr. B, Tiffany, Lexi, Jared.....Thank You to you all for making me feel like a person and not just a statistic.

While I was seeing Dr. Joseph, I would have rated it a 1, maybe 2 stars at best. He was always super late for appointments which he would attend through video. He was very cold, not relatable or personable in any way, and he never seemed to listen. I changed meds probably 4 or 5 tines over the span of 4 or 5 months. Since switching to Dr. Smoes, things have been great. She listens, asks the right questions, she's on time, and it only took a few visits to find a medication regimen that I have now been on for roughly a year or so. People's experiences (and by extension, their ratings) at places like this often result from a negative interaction(s) with 1 or 2 people. And, unfortunately, it's often the entire office getting a bad rating when it's really just a couple bad doctors, nurses, and/or receptionists. From experience, I can say that this office has at least one not-so-great doctor, and at least one solid doctor. My experience with all the nurses I've seen have been positive, and at least a couple of the receptionists actually know me by name. Overall, I'm happy with my services since switching to Dr. Smoes.
