Taylor D. was my therapist for almost 6 months before I moved from newaygo county and had to end our sessions. If they would have let me continue to be a patient after my move I would gladly make the hour trip to continue our sessions. She is such a REAL and relatable person. I never felt judgment from her or any of the other members of my care team. I'm thankful everyday for some of the advice and help she gave me and will carry those tools with me through life. Huge thank you to Taylor and the rest of the staff that cared for me in some of my hardest moments.

Very helpful. Receptionist was a little short/rude but the counselors were terrific and it's hard to say she might have been having a really bad day you can't judge a person from one experience.

While I was seeing Dr. Joseph, I would have rated it a 1, maybe 2 stars at best. He was always super late for appointments which he would attend through video. He was very cold, not relatable or personable in any way, and he never seemed to listen. I changed meds probably 4 or 5 tines over the span of 4 or 5 months. Since switching to Dr. Smoes, things have been great. She listens, asks the right questions, she's on time, and it only took a few visits to find a medication regimen that I have now been on for roughly a year or so. People's experiences (and by extension, their ratings) at places like this often result from a negative interaction(s) with 1 or 2 people. And, unfortunately, it's often the entire office getting a bad rating when it's really just a couple bad doctors, nurses, and/or receptionists. From experience, I can say that this office has at least one not-so-great doctor, and at least one solid doctor. My experience with all the nurses I've seen have been positive, and at least a couple of the receptionists actually know me by name. Overall, I'm happy with my services since switching to Dr. Smoes.

I am a former client of Stacy Schaufele. I would highly recommend staying away from here, at least, from her. She terminated me after being a very long-term client with an emailed form letter & zero explanation, while I was in crisis. She is unprofessional, she crosses ethical boundaries, shares your information without your consent, and then makes arbitrary decisions on termination. Upon reflection, I see the damage she has caused me in our time and how her complete disregard for my welfare prior to termination has done significant harm. Then, I’m told that they followed “policy” and I would get no explanation. Please, if you need help, consider somewhere else.

Took my sister to the er last month for health issues and to get rehab. They ran test found “something” in her heart and lungs” they put her in the behavioral center. Never looked more into it or ran more test. Was told the cardiologist was gonna see her one of the nights or the next morning. She got discharged and I picked her up and turned her into the cops bc she wanted help. She fell off the top bunk in jail, busted her chin open, they found a mass in her lungs and something in her brain. HORRIBLE STAFF as well. Joyce and Sara were making fun of her and mimicking her. When she got up or was walking. And made very rude comments. And even had the other patients laughing at her when they walked past her in the hall. Worst experience of my life.

Prescibers here vary. Dr. Cutler and Susan M are good. I've been very happy with Britany Bisailion as a therapist in the past. I can not attest to the outpatient program at this location but was very impressed with Hinsdale's program back in 2023. (Before it became the endeavor brand) the merger slightly diminished the quality of care for Edward's and Linden Oaks in my opinion.
Advice to patients: I recommend avoiding benzos as much as possible and to stick with older tried and true meds.

You get out what you put in. I’ve done therapy for many years and this facility is great. I’ve only seen my one provider, but I would believe that every other provider also offers exceptional care. Friendly employees, zero complaints about staff but the whole center is ran off $$. Dot caring is not very “caring”. I am 3 years sober and this program in four short sessions has made me rethink my sobriety(and not in the good way). Pretty much straight torture to go to a program if you do not need, nor qualify for. Yet no one sees a problem with it because at least they get their $$. I believe if you are the type of person that wants/needs medication then this is probably the easiest program to achieve that. If you are genuinely interested in tackling demons and regaining true sobriety/staying sober. I just don’t see how dots caring center could help in anyway, shape or form.

I've enjoyed my counciling here very professional staff. Girls up front are very nice. I like how quickly they get to me on the phone. That can agitate people. Justin Hutchenson has helped me decompress alot of stress in my life dealing with multiple deaths in my family and my own health tragedy. The therapist my daughter saw at the Portage location was wonderful. Billing was always an issue - they would say we owed money, so we would pay it, then they could contact us and process a refund because we "overpaid". Otherwise, we were very pleased. However I have been trying to reach them for a week now. Website says they are available 24/7 - however I have called EVERY number on their website repeatedly, as well as the number the "owner" provided in these comments, and there is never an answer or option to leave a message. I also submitted an appointment request form through their website and have not received a response. Not sure what is going on here. UPDATE: apparently this is a cell phone issue - NOT pine rest. Despite using my phone daily and having no issues making calls, for whatever reason, I had to put my cell phone on then off airplane mode and suddenly I was able to make calls to them. Updated my review to correct for this.

I went there 15 years ago, and have been sober ever since, all I remember is miss carol!!! She was so amazing. Not sure if she still works there but she was a God send!

I was a junkie for almost 20 years
years. I went to the center 8/8/2018 and had to leave even b 4 I was ready for medical reasons and to this day I don't touch needles nor do drugs. I even have a medical Marijuana card for pain instead of getting back on pills where my addiction began. Don't get me wrong I still have days I want to use but with the tools I used there in the 45 days I stayed or so. I would like to share my gratitude with the treatment centers staff and the time I spent with my counselors and and I hope they reach out to me one day for my story. Thank you for my life back good and bad it's all me and my family together again. I am so grateful.

Nothing but terrible experiences here. I’ve tried various providers for therapy. Husband has had some good help, so not all bad but I’ve experienced provides with Major incompetence, rudeness. I Was told that the therapist didn’t feel like they’re helping me enough so I should see someone else, which is incredibly detrimental to someone’s mental health. Then was switched and I arrived only to be told there has been a scheduling error. They let me see who was available for EMDR but I was told that was literally all we’d be working on every week as the main thing. I’ve had lots of great therapist throughout my life, I have never ever had such a horrible experience anywhere else. I think these people do care but the way the practice is run and the amount of time they spend with you, quality and cailber of Care is very lacking and does more damage than good. Look elsewhere.

I used to be an inpatient at Borgess 1 North, and the unit was alright. If you complied with medications, group, and individual therapy, things did seem to get a lot easier. In order for inpatient care to really make a strong impact, I feel like the person being treated needs to want to better themselves. Other than that, the adolescent unit really made a positive change in my life.

I came to Rose Hill in July 2005. I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. I highly recommend Rose Hill Center.
