I’ve been going to Pine Rest now for over ten years. I used to get medication from my doctor until I switched doctors and my new doctor told me “I’m not a psychiatrist and I’d like you to see someone who knows all about mental health.” So she referred me to Pine Rest. I love that I can see both my psychiatrist and my therapist all in one location so they can communicate with each other to do what’s best for me! I’ve never had a single issue there except with one person and I handled that by switching to someone else. The receptionists are all super friendly and helpful. The medical assistants and nurses are very kind. I recommend this place every time I know someone needs to be seen. And it’s always clean and an inviting atmosphere. Thank you all!

My brother went to Serenity Point Recovery 8 months ago, it saved his life. He spent 3 months doing his program there and the place just fit with what he needed. The staff there are so nice and were easy for him to get along with. He loved the classes that he took in addition to his program. Especially the art and music therapy. Both were enjoyable for him and he got a lot out of them. The staff would put activities together for the patients and he loved that. Basically, everything about Serenity, from the staff, to the program, to the choice about the different programs they have, to being able to go out with the other patients once in a while and get away from the place. All of it seemed to be exactly what he needed to work harder to stay sober when he came home. He's been doing great at home for the last 5 months and seeing him happy, healthy and committed to his sobriety is awesome. I have my brother back in my life again because he went to Serenity. I couldn't be happier about it.

where to begin... I came here when i was at my absolute worst my family wanted nothing to do with me i had already been locked up in institutions and in jails multiple times i had lost the will to want to live life and really didnt even know it fully. When I came here at first i was resistant i could tell you everything everyone was doing wrong because i didnt want to look at my self but thankfully i had a therapist and dedicated staff who were extremely patient. I wasnt the easiest client to deal with i had so much anger truly i had self hatred that i made seem like hatred for others. I am truly blessed that i was given the opportunity to come here and they had patience and dedication to help me find my underlying issues and work through them. They offered me the abilitiy to live my life again and gave me the tools to do so and for that im eternally grateful.

I was just recently successfully discharged from KPEP Muskegon and I must say that I was treated with great respect by the majority of the staff there. I was never disrespected by the majority of the staff. However, KPEP Muskegon now has a new program director, Keith Head, and I have to be honest, once he took that position, he totally flipped. He now ignores residents when they "try" to speak with him. He admits to shredding case notes sent to him without even reading them. When before when he was a therapist he made time to talk to residents. Therapist Charles Nash is a very rude person....thats all I can say about him. Now, my therapist LISA LAMPHIERE was absolutely fabulous and so easy to talk to and open up to. The security staff: Steve K, Dustin, Ron Baker, Austin, Don, Mr. B, Tiffany, Lexi, Jared.....Thank You to you all for making me feel like a person and not just a statistic.

An excellent place to go if you have an out of control addiction and need help. Or if you just fell off and need a hand getting back up.
Friendly staff, smoke breaks, ample time to socialize and work out our problems amongst ourselves... the place is amazing. And welcoming to people that return.
We can't all always get it right on the first go around. Sometimes it takes two, three, four... hell, even thirty tries. But admitting that there's a problem and working to fix it is the first step. And this place is an excellent resource if you need that kind of help.
I'm also an atheist. If you're worried about going to a church-affiliated group, don't be. They take a light touch with religion (mostly stuff in the daily readings), and try to be open to everyone. Same goes for LGBTQ+ folk: this is a safe place.
If you need help, these folks are who you need to get started

I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful.
Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi.
Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.
