I had just come out of another behavioral health unit and was home for about four days before Arriving at Forest view. I could ve gone to another facility closer to my home, However, the unit I came from was nothing more than an adult daycare. Most of the employees that I was in contact with were very compassionate and caring. I was in the trauma unit. It was nice to be treated With compassion as the ER that I came from was a nightmare. Most importantly is the follow up care as I am Attending the partial inpatient program. Things are still hard for me, but I would not hesitate for a minute to go back to Forest view if I get into another crisis Situation. All of the groups that they have there offer a little something different and a little something in common As it s good to build up on your skills. I have a long road to Healing but I know I have a safe place to go if things go south. I just want to thank everybody at the trauma unit and all of those that taught the groups.

Forrest View is my daughter's "safe place". When she knows her mental health isn't what it could/should be, and when our outpatient resources aren't enough for her, she knows she can come here and get more treatment. The 500 West adolecent hall is small and not overwhelming for her. She especially likes the staff there: Asanju, Shakiraa, Eric, Dr. Shellenburg, and Maria.

I had a great experience here with my adult adhd assessment. It changed my life.While I was initially actually diagnosed with adhd when I was 11, since my parents chose not to medicate me or what not and hoped I d grow out of it, my adhd went untreated and apparently undocumented. Started seeing a psychiatrist and since we couldn t track down the documentation, I needed to be retested at 30 years old before we could try certain meds.Sure enough, the adhd combined results spoke for themself. I actually also have anxiety, ocd (pure O), and depression, too. My psychiatrist and I started the med trial and error period, and after 4 months consistently on my two meds (Vyvanse for adhd, Prozac for the others,) I can honestly say my quality of life has increased dramatically. I m doing better at work and in my personal life.North Kent changed my life!! Also, I went in thinking what if I don t actually have adhd, and I realized well, if I don t, the test will at least answer that and give me other answers for what s actually going on. No matter what, you ll get answers and will have guidance for the next steps. Highly recommend this place.

I have had nothing but good experiences with North Kent. My counselor is kind, supportive, and knowledgable, and the staff has always been helpful, no matter what I've had to call about.

Depression runs in my family, so when RPS did a prelim screening my daughter did ask for help. I listened and contacted North Kent Guidance Services because I knew of its existence. I've found the staff to be personable and quite willing to help those in need. Thank You NKGS for helping our teen daughter and our family keep it together.

Amazing facility and staff

I have been to therapy at both the Belding facility & the Ionia facility. I was matched with two different therapists, one at each facility, & found the experience lifechanging. While many might not have a great experience here, I found that my therapists treated me with respect, was thoughtful, & helped me through some of the hardest moments of my life. I will absolutely go back to Th Right Door if I ever need to again!

This place helped me so much. Groups there were great and helped me with anxiety and talking about my issues.

Great place for recovering from addiction. I recommend this drug rehab facility. You can feel their support and how eager they are to see you recover.

I called this morning to get some therapy information for a friend. The receptionist (I don t recall her name ) was very kind and super helpful. They took all his information to get an appointment set up for him.

Good staff. I liked the therapist I was matched with.
