While I was seeing Dr. Joseph, I would have rated it a 1, maybe 2 stars at best. He was always super late for appointments which he would attend through video. He was very cold, not relatable or personable in any way, and he never seemed to listen. I changed meds probably 4 or 5 tines over the span of 4 or 5 months. Since switching to Dr. Smoes, things have been great. She listens, asks the right questions, she's on time, and it only took a few visits to find a medication regimen that I have now been on for roughly a year or so. People's experiences (and by extension, their ratings) at places like this often result from a negative interaction(s) with 1 or 2 people. And, unfortunately, it's often the entire office getting a bad rating when it's really just a couple bad doctors, nurses, and/or receptionists. From experience, I can say that this office has at least one not-so-great doctor, and at least one solid doctor. My experience with all the nurses I've seen have been positive, and at least a couple of the receptionists actually know me by name. Overall, I'm happy with my services since switching to Dr. Smoes.

I have been going to this place for almost six months. They have helped me more than any past place I’ve been to. They’ve gone the extra mile to help me mentally and emotionally. They not only help with your mental health but they provide other types of care they even have their own nurses which I see Lisa and she helped find me a diet plan when my other doctors never have. They will go the extra mile including my therapist Jordan and my psychiatrist Sarah they both have been nothing short than fantastic. I highly recommend this place and if you keep up with your appointments and show you want help they will make sure you receive it.

This program has done so many good things for our family and my son who attended this year. Our son had been struggling for almost a year after a very bad car accident and he unfortunately began to abuse his pain pills. They really strive on the fact that you go at your own pace through the program to ensure that you are getting the most out of it. They do not want you to move alongside others their just because they may be going at a different pace than you. There are many different groups to choose to partake in and you get to customize things in terms of what is of interest to you. It is a very beautiful and tranquil center to receive treatment at. He was able to focus on himself in all areas, body, mind and spirit. The staff ensures a clean and inviting center to be at, they all work together to make sure that you are well taken care of and they offer great meals by an amazing cook as well. We are thoroughly grateful.

I'm very happy with the results I got from going through the program at BRS. I was prescribed pain medication by my doctor after I'd gotten in an accident and I was having trouble getting off them. My husband found BRS for me and it was a really good place for me to go. They put an emphasis on their client's comfort there, which was something I needed. I'd never needed help like this before and it was weird for me at first to be in treatment for a drug addiction. The staff there were wonderful with me and they handled all my tantrums while I was going through detox very well. There were a lot of tantrums too. Every day I wanted to leave and every day they convinced me to stick it out. Which I'm very grateful for. After detox, I was surprised by how much I liked being there. The facility itself is really nice and I was comfortable there. I'm so glad my husband chose BRS as the rehab I'd go to because I don't think anyone else would have handled me and all my dramas nearly as well.

My brother went to BRS last year and I'm amazed at the results. My brother spent 10 years addicted to crack cocaine and truthfully, I never thought he'd get sober. He went to a lot of treatment centers before BRS and none of them helped him. There are some major differences between those other centers and BRS though. They don't take a one size fits all approach to treatment there. They have multiple programs and my brother was able to do a treatment program that he hadn't done before. One that actually worked for him. He was also there for 4 months. He's always been to 28 or 30 day programs and it was never enough time for him. Plus, the BRS center is great. It's a beautiful place and they have a bunch of amenities that helped my brother feel comfortable there throughout his whole program. Lastly, the staff were wonderful with him. They made sure that my brother did his program and did it right. Going to BRS worked for my brother. He's sober now.

I came into this clinic during a relapse. I had 3 years sober in and fell off. Well , today 11-4-25 I have roughly 9 years of sobriety in. This clinic and (Jim) my old counselor helped change my thinking and save my life. Stopping dope will never keep someone sober , however if you can also get the addict to change his thinking as well miracles can happen. For years and many visits later, I can honestly say I'm proud of how things turned around. You can tell a concerted effort was made. Every employee I have encountered has been kind, patient, and understanding. The services received were great. I wish I could Daisy award the whole crew. (2021ish) I'm editing my response here: the last time I was sent to the ER was pretty great, but it was also for an easy procedure. They must be working on their bedside manner. (Approx. 2019) My emergency room visits left much to be desired. My first, I arrived with chest pains and known multiple health issues that would make that particularly scary. The doctor immediately decided it was anxiety, even as my bloodwork indicated something being very wrong. I was placed on one-to-one, like suicide watch, despite being no threat to myself. I mentioned my health issues, and she refused to explore whether they could be the cause. Next thing I know, someone from community mental health is in my room to interview me. I was sent home with no relief and a referral for therapy. My doctors, when I followed up, were horrified. I was told by more than one practice that if I think I can survive the drive, to go the hour north or south to a different hospital in an emergency. Well, two months later I am bleeding uncontrollably and my doctor orders me to the ER ASAP. Great. I get in right away and was treated terribly by my nurse. I could tell she was not listening while I spoke. Eye-rolling and tutting and all. While I sat there. Bleeding. After imaging and bloodwork showed that yes, I am bleeding and yes, my iron levels were real low now, the same nurse came in to tell me I was on my period "what did I expect?" (I was not, we discussed this, it's why I was there..), that her bloodwork is worse than mine so be grateful. I left, still bleeding out, with no instructions for follow-up care, but instructions from the doctor to come back if it continues. I said "It continues now, do I just turn around?" And the nurse said, "we still won't help you". You think I would have learned but I ended up back with an alarming symptom that has to do with a chronic disease I have, the recommendation that I'm seen ASAP by my doctor, along with some odd other symptoms that all popped up at the same time. The one alarming symptom was addressed very slightly, with nothing more than standard blood and urine tests which showed a problem but they couldn't figure out exactly what it was and were unwilling to explorer further as soon as they ruled out a kidney infection. The other symptoms were met with a literal shrug. I was told that I was merely dehydrated, though that made no sense because I had been drinking a whole lot of fluids. When I brought it up, the e.r. doctor agreed and said to call my doctor in the morning. I left with no answers and still sick. Again. So yeah, not going back if I can ever help it. I don't recommend it at all. Munsing and Mercy aren't that far, if you can make it.

I have had 110% experience. You have to put your time in. Going to all Dr. appointments and counseling services. It’s not a one appointment deal. It takes months. The Dr that I have is a diamond in a rock . I got very fortunate to have a very disciplined Dr. The counselor I had was absolutely amazing. You may get a a Dr that doesn’t get you. Call and ask to try a different doctor and or Therapist. You have to put your time in as well. I can tell you that when I was almost 22 years old. That I was lucky to see a head Dr and it was the right fit. You know what it was a very hard time in my life why can’t I be like most of the world? That Dr gave me a light at the end of a tunnel. In the early 2000s it was so redequeless hard to have help with mental health. I will and never take it for granted. Don’t take it lightly if you get a chance at help.
