Natalie is the best nurse in the world (except maybe my mom lol), I arrived to my sleep study with a level 10 anxiety. After her kind words and reassurance that went to 1. If you have a sleep study - this is the only place to be. My highest recommendation. It was quiet, and bed even adjusted comfort settings! My brother went to Serenity Point Recovery 8 months ago, it saved his life. He spent 3 months doing his program there and the place just fit with what he needed. The staff there are so nice and were easy for him to get along with. He loved the classes that he took in addition to his program. Especially the art and music therapy. Both were enjoyable for him and he got a lot out of them. The staff would put activities together for the patients and he loved that. Basically, everything about Serenity, from the staff, to the program, to the choice about the different programs they have, to being able to go out with the other patients once in a while and get away from the place. All of it seemed to be exactly what he needed to work harder to stay sober when he came home. He's been doing great at home for the last 5 months and seeing him happy, healthy and committed to his sobriety is awesome. I have my brother back in my life again because he went to Serenity. I couldn't be happier about it.

This pace is horrible. The entire staff is made up of unintelligent, young "recovering" addicts. I left against medical advice 2 weeks into "treatment" because I was treated HORRIBLY by the staff and the man in "charge" told me if I leave I'll have to pay more than $50,000 because my insurance won't cover it. He told me I would have to go to court and all this other nonsense. Obviously NONE of that actually happened I called my insurance company and my case worker told me he sounded very "idiotic, ridiculous and money hungry" in those exact words . Why would I have to pay for resources I'm not using? All these ignorant people want is your money . I was absolutely miserable there, more than I was when I hit rock bottom while using .I stayed sober without any help from them. If you need help PLEASE do not go there because they have nothing to give besides unreliability and ignorance. Good luck to all of you.

Taylor D. was my therapist for almost 6 months before I moved from newaygo county and had to end our sessions. If they would have let me continue to be a patient after my move I would gladly make the hour trip to continue our sessions. She is such a REAL and relatable person. I never felt judgment from her or any of the other members of my care team. I'm thankful everyday for some of the advice and help she gave me and will carry those tools with me through life. An excellent place to go if you have an out of control addiction and need help. Or if you just fell off and need a hand getting back up.
Friendly staff, smoke breaks, ample time to socialize and work out our problems amongst ourselves... the place is amazing. And welcoming to people that return.
We can't all always get it right on the first go around. Sometimes it takes two, three, four... hell, even thirty tries. But admitting that there's a problem and working to fix it is the first step. And this place is an excellent resource if you need that kind of help.
I'm also an atheist. If you're worried about going to a church-affiliated group, don't be. They take a light touch with religion (mostly stuff in the daily readings), and try to be open to everyone. Same goes for LGBTQ+ folk: this is a safe place.

We took a friend of ours to the ER who had a serious drug problem from relapsing and they had to treat this person overnight in the ER. Then in the morning they transferred this person to this place for detox treatment. We were told it would be involuntary for 5 days (meaning our friend could not discharge under own will). My wife and I spent days working to get this person to agree to get help and to go into the ER. Then in less than 24 hours they let this person discharge themself from the detox facility. Total incompetence. Our friend went right back of course to using. Total incompetence on every level. A detox center should know better than this 100%. So frustrating and now back to square one. This place is completely inapt to have a license to be practicing.

At first I was more shocked than anything but the more I have thought about it the more I realize that my experience was not okay. My time with him was okay at first but my therapist was extremely accusatory, insensitive, invalidating, and condescending in my last session and in my mychart messages. He didn't listen to anything I had to say or give me the benefit of the doubt. I was already struggling and now I feel even worse than when I first started. I have tried calling the clinic office manager and patient relations and no call back yet.

where to begin... I came here when i was at my absolute worst my family wanted nothing to do with me i had already been locked up in institutions and in jails multiple times i had lost the will to want to live life and really didnt even know it fully. When I came here at first i was resistant i could tell you everything everyone was doing wrong because i didnt want to look at my self but thankfully i had a therapist and dedicated staff who were extremely patient. I wasnt the easiest client to deal with i had so much anger truly i had self hatred that i made seem like hatred for others. I am truly blessed that i was given the opportunity to come here and they had patience and dedication to help me find my underlying issues and work through them. They offered me the abilitiy to live my life again and gave me the tools to do so and for that im eternally grateful.

The nurses and services here are very professional yet down to earth and joyful. These services include nurses, your own doctor, and a counselor of your own choosing if they are not full and available. One is no better than the other, just better suited for the individual. They find ways to work with you and help you no matter your situation. And most of all they genuinely care! They also have the tools to help you in your situation, including a big which is transportation and filling out paperwork, such as insurance, DHS, and so on. Whatever it takes to give you a new lease on life!! did a walk-in because the dental department has 3 different numbers and LITERALLY NO 1 ever answers the phones. I walked in around 7:20am, was seen immediately after completing paperwork. Only did the crime victim panel. It honestly wasn't that bad but both presenters were making fun or teasing me, and i was one of the few that participated in questions and answers more than once. Im a grown adult so its whatever, little unprofessional and goes against their purpose as educators. Other than that, cant complain.
