The nurses at this hospital were absolutely incredible. I spent 8 days here and they had so much compassion and grace caring for me. I was going through some of the scariest and most embarrassing moments of my life and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Doctor Lee was amazing as well. Needed a blood draw and subsequent CT scan. Blood draw was quick and painless.
CT scan next day was done early because I was early. Brad the tech was very kind and efficient. After having experienced these procedures down state I almost think I would drive the 4 hours to Ludington to have them done !!

After 28 years of being drunk or high and going to several different places for help. ATS has absolutely changed my life Ive been completely sober over200 days now there residential men’s facility is an old nasty mess of a 2 houses put together. I didn’t think I was going to stay a couple days let alone months. But the staff is so kind and understanding you feel at home. The health department is the best you can get. From onsite everything from nursing to psychology the doctors are great. Now I know there are nicer facilities clean new bigger. But they won’t help you get through the hard stuff like the love and compassion at ATS. I’m great full I was able to get a spot there. Because the after care is amazing you look forward to seeing these guys. It’s been an amazing journey and God bless ATS.

I can't say enough good things about Kym Hansen-Duell. I have been seeing her on and off since my teenage years and can honestly say that she has helped me in so many ways I can't even begin to describe them all. She has been so accommodating with scheduling, quick to reschedule when she takes (much deserved!) time off, and understanding when I need to reschedule. With DBT and Kym, I am no longer "just surviving," I am thriving. She helped me find the me I was always meant to be and for that, I am eternally greatful. I have always been impressed with Pine Rest TC but Kym is the crown jewel of the professionals they have.

I've been going for a few years and both counselors I have seen are great. They really care and are willing to go above and beyond. Both have been available after hours if I needed it. Faith is very caring, knowlegable, and prompt with refill requests. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful. Individual experiences will obviously vary, but I have not experienced anything that is remotely like what you see in the negative reviews.

I have been admitted to MMC for sepsis and my daughter was admitted to the NICU. Both times we entered through the ER. The ER staff were kind, friendly and professional. The team in the OR with Dr. Zuckerman were super friendly and compassionate. The various nurses and CNAs in the B3 Surgical Unit were all very kind and compassionate as well. The NICU nurses ans doctor are wonderful caring angels and incredibly supportive. I would recommend going to MMC to anyone who wishes to be treated with a high level of care and compassion.

I unfortunately had to go to the ER for a broken foot. Staff was kind, efficient and referred me to a great orthopedic surgeon. I had surgery at Munson a few days later and the surgical team was amazing also.

This hospital has been amazing. My mom came in to the ER after a bad fall while camping. She was admitted with a broken wrist and pelvis, and other hairline fractures. Munson is 2.5 hours from home, so by the time I made it up , it was late. Everyone I interacted with has been terrific. Shout out to Nurse David and Bree on Floor D. Also, thank you to goofy Dr. Leslie and Dr. McDonald for putting her back together.

I have only rode the city bus to Hope Network, but I give them 4 stars because I ride the bus 3 days per week and the bus picks up mentally challenged adults at hope network, in which have jobs because thats what hope network does it gives them an opportunity to work in local factories.

NLCMH and specifically the FAST program and team are phenomenal and incredibly helpful to our communities. CMH employees have been quick to respond, supportive and professional throughout multiple experiences. Lauren Franklin is a name that stands out when thinking of the FAST team and is a positive, influential and intelligent mental health provider and has consistently supported clients, individuals and families throughout multiple communities. While I was seeing Dr. Joseph, I would have rated it a 1, maybe 2 stars at best. He was always super late for appointments which he would attend through video. He was very cold, not relatable or personable in any way, and he never seemed to listen. I changed meds probably 4 or 5 tines over the span of 4 or 5 months. Since switching to Dr. Smoes, things have been great. She listens, asks the right questions, she's on time, and it only took a few visits to find a medication regimen that I have now been on for roughly a year or so. People's experiences (and by extension, their ratings) at places like this often result from a negative interaction(s) with 1 or 2 people. And, unfortunately, it's often the entire office getting a bad rating when it's really just a couple bad doctors, nurses, and/or receptionists. From experience, I can say that this office has at least one not-so-great doctor, and at least one solid doctor. My experience with all the nurses I've seen have been positive, and at least a couple of the receptionists actually know me by name. Overall, I'm happy with my services since switching to Dr. Smoes.

I went to Bear River back in October of 2024 when I decided I wanted to get clean, I have always been a night owl and they wanted me getting up at 6 am showering by 7 and being to first group by 8 😂 I couldn't do it, I started like 3 days and was like well I think I'm going to head out, I was ready to get clean I just wasn't on a good schedule. But now
Now almost 1 year later I'm still not clean. I've been on MAT for one year and 1 month. One year and one month too long! I'm ready to step it down one more notch. I want off the subs and I know you guys can help me, the staff was so kind and considerate and very understanding that I just wasn't on a good schedule and that's why I left. But as I was saying one year later and I'm on a good schedule now! I have a job now, I'm in school now. And I really truly believe it was partially from my experience at Bear River Health! I have a lot to do with it and so does the big man upstairs. We all took part in my recovery, I didn't feel alone and I'm ready to come back and try for a couple months.. I know we can do this! My experience met my expectations and being 5. I've been using the partial antagonist medicine for a few years and had great success until my doctors started making it difficult for ne to constantly stay in them and stabilize.
That and when you administer the pairtial antagonist you have yo go into the office to see them. This is always a smaller satellite location that you visit with people everywhere and most of them if not all of them aren't anywhere near as sick or hurting like an addict in withdraw.
The point to that was you have to see your doctor in person and in full blown withdrawals state when you see the docs. Then they have to determine if your ready for that medicine and make sure that you're such enough to start the meds because of you administer it too soon ot will make the person even more sick!!
It's very very difficult to start that med and can be dangerous and discouraging to many people. I was one of them for a while.
The staff was amazing and made everything feel very clean, calm, and controlled environment. The structure and attention they give every person makes it a place that not only feels safe but, it's safe.
The ladies at the desk are amazing and can confidently say the same for all the staff!

Ive been going to the clinic for over 5 years now. They saved my life. They are great people who seem to genuinely care about you. Even if you mess up they help you get back on track. The other area clinics do not compare to WMCTC. It's nice and clean like a Dr's office. They do nice things for holidays and always do what's in the patients best interest!

I've been struggling with addiction for over 30 years and have managed to be free from active addiction for 5 years.
I have gone from taking 24mg per day of Suboxone daily down to the equivalent of 8mg per day! I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful.
Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi.
Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.

The Salvation Army’s Turning Point center is a nonprofit substance abuse treatment program. They provide adults with a continuum of services including detox, inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) treatment, and dual diagnosis care. An excellent place to go if you have an out of control addiction and need help. Or if you just fell off and need a hand getting back up.
Friendly staff, smoke breaks, ample time to socialize and work out our problems amongst ourselves... the place is amazing. And welcoming to people that return.
We can't all always get it right on the first go around. Sometimes it takes two, three, four... hell, even thirty tries. But admitting that there's a problem and working to fix it is the first step. And this place is an excellent resource if you need that kind of help.
I'm also an atheist. If you're worried about going to a church-affiliated group, don't be. They take a light touch with religion (mostly stuff in the daily readings), and try to be open to everyone. Same goes for LGBTQ+ folk: this is a safe place.

Arbor Circle - Main Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offers much more than just substance abuse treatment. Great place to get support for AOD addiction and learn the tools to stay sober. Also has one on one Therapy and a Physician for meds. Awesome Support Groups too.
