About Insight Recovery Center
Insight Recovery Center was a private outpatient facility in Saginaw, Michigan, that provided personalized treatment for adolescents and adults. Services were provided for those struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. The center accepted private insurance and self pay.
Weekly Sessions
The center provided a range of outpatient services that included intensive outpatient programs (IOP). You attend between nine to 20 hours of weekly therapy depending on your specific needs. Their standard outpatient care was also flexible, with fewer hours of weekly services.
Their individual and group counseling sessions utilized evidence based modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused counseling and 12 Step facilitation. The specialized programs addressed dual diagnoses that ensured integrated care for mental health and addiction.
Unique Services and Diverse Programs
They offered some unique services like acupuncture therapy and peer mentoring. They also offered practical support like job training and housing assistance to aid your reintegration. I like that they also had transition support with post discharge follow up and overdose prevention education that included naloxone training.
The center had diverse programs for adult men, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans and those with past trauma or domestic violence. What stands out to me is that they allowed smoking and vaping in designated areas.
There was limited availability of appointment slots, but clients praised the tailored care and welcoming atmosphere.
Addiction Treatments
Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Clinical Services
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
