I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill for a 'tune up'. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. The program carries on after leaving campus. I'm in the Community Support Program (csp) with some appointments at Rose Hill Center. I highly recommend Rose Hill Center. Craig 5 months ago I got a lot of support for my mental health. Very professional and they care deeply for each resident. They helped me find my self confidence and self worth. Most importantly they work as a team. I got support not just with my mental health but they provided an autism specialist who greatly improved my quality of my life. I owe Rose Hill so much to my life also the offer DBT therapy which challenged me to improve myself and receive support to reach my goals. My DBT coach Laura gave me hope to a broggter future and helped me with dealing with extreme anxiety. I totally recommend Rose Hill for mental health and people who are on the autism spectrum. Unlike the typical, more “hospital like” residential, Rose Hill encourages independence and helping you build skills to use in the real world. My time at Rose Hill, as a resident, has changed my life. I would say the biggest pros are: You get to keep your phone, they don’t stop you from vaping/smoking nicotine, you can have your car there under certain circumstances, you can go out on “day passes” into the community, there are many outings on a weekly basis, you get to go grocery shopping on a weekly basis as well, and you get your own, decently spacious room. Rose Hill has competent and caring social workers/case managers, therapists and floor staff. People you can tell that truly care. I’d suggest Rose Hill if you want to change your life. Dashika is amazing and I absolutely adore her. I've been going for almost 6 years. I had 33 broken bones and was told I'd never walk again and that pain meds were going to be something to take daily forever. I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. If you are ready this place can help you amd they will care about you every step of the way. Building is rough but they really do try to keep it clean and functional. Staff was great... building was clean and no bedbugs ...lol Matthew Roeder 1 year ago A family member was treated here. I went and visited during visitation hours. The staff I met were very kind. He had said the same. He got help not only with present recovery but tools to help him stay sober. They also helped him with his next steps like getting into a sober living. They inspired him to one day become a sponsor himself. He enjoys most of the company he had there. I enjoyed that Monday through Friday he would get his own personal phone for twenty minutes to make calls and texts from. It allowed me to send him photos to keep him involved. When I couldn't make a visitation they tried their best to accommodate and do a brief video visit instead. All around they greatly cared for him presently and his future. They even helped with transportation to the sober living. The only negatives were that sometimes you don't always get a very good roommate and theft happens. Plus the food wasn't always great he said, but you can't please everyone all the time with every meal when you get that many people together. I would suggest having more options during meal times though, possibly a microwave and some ramen or something for those who don't like whatever is served. Overall this place really helped him grow.
