This place is an absolute joke. First their communication is terrible. You call the place and they never answer. Once you call they respond back to you through text and you have to ask for someone to call you. Then they send you a link to fill out paperwork and it s not the most user friendly site. I explained the situation and what I needed and they told me it was no problem. We should up to the appointment and there is no sign in the building, all the lights are off and the building is locked up. After sitting there for a while people started coming out of a side entrance. It looked like they were running some weird daycare out of the back. I started asking questions and we were eventually let in. There was no one to get us, no front desk staff, and no one to check us in. I explained what I was needing and the intern counselor said no problem. Days after the session I had to call to check up on things and was sent an email that I was needing for court explaining that the counselor was not qualified and that she could not do what I needed. That would have been nice to know before hand. I highly recommend not using this joke of a business if you can help it. All they did was waste my valuable time.

Worst place ever. So shady with their appointment scheduling. I drove all the way and they sent me the wrong address, they never sent me the intake and had the audacity to tell me that I sent it back too late . They also want you to hand write the forms and then upload it. I would recommend Compass Health to those looking. They have a walk in intake process so you do not have to deal with all this extra inconvenience.

Phenomenal location with excellent service and care for our children. The people here are making a difference. Every interaction I've had with the interns has been great.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Terrible company. We were going to our regular appointments and was never told about a copay then they randomly hit us with a 500 dollar balance. I never write bad reviews but this is outrageous. I would suggest finding a company that actually knows what the heck they are doing. Also they take money out of your account without permission too. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Sadly, this place isn't a safe place for family counseling or "reunification therapy". The abusive parent was coddled. Kids concerns and feelings were sacrificed for "reunification". One child had to go immediately to the ER following a session. The owner Jeannie saw abusive behavior in parent and never reported it to parties that could have helped. When said parent behaved poorly she would call safe parent and say "we dont want them mad'.. inappropriate! She appeared to be a Flying Monkey for the abuser.

My son attends play therapy with their Intern, Angela. He has only gone for two sessions so far but my shy little boy loves her and has so much fun. I am very excited to see the process he makes with Angela and I love that I can put all trust into her to take on my sons struggles and help him along the way. I personally am also attending counseling with LaTayisah, today was my first session. Instant bond and felt so comfortable spilling all my thoughts and problems to her. I am looking forward to more sessions. I highly recommend step by step. They have been Truly amazing in such a short period of time and it’s what anyone would need when they are going through times that are hard. To find two amazing counselors at the same location & that can take me and my son at the same time is truly hard. Very grateful!

I have had nothing but a pleasant experience with Step By Step. I use their Stepping Stones program, which uses graduate student interns rather than licensed counselors. I have been going for a little over a month now and it is wonderful. My counselor is a great listener and lets me decide how each session is going to go. She has given me multiple tools for dealing with anxiety and helping me learn more about myself. My only concern is what I'll do when she graduates; I hope to be able to follow her!

Jennie has always been very kind and helpful in every which way she can. The love, care, and concern she has for her clients is evident in her work with them. I highly recommemd Jennie and her agency if you are current;y struggling and need someone to talk too!
