This place helped save my life. I lived at the Montrose location and Tony and Jason were my house managers. Those guys are the best. They’re really cool, and they run a tight ship which is what someone in recovery needs. I can’t recommend by the book enough.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. I lived here 9 months. I recently moved out and I’m welcomed with open arms in the community when I stop by. Because that’s what BTB provides. It’s not only a safe environment for sobriety but a staple of strong fellowship and brotherhood. I have been to numerous different places and the way this house operates from the ground up is solid. Highly recommend to men looking to live a sober life.

I transitioned to this sober living from rehab, and I made so many good friends the 2 years I stayed here. The fellowship was a big part of what kept me sober. Also, Matt is like a big brother you can always get advice from. This sober living is near everything in Houston, so you can go to meetings, work, or have fun out at night.

Levels of Care

Residents of a sober living home in Texas reside at the halfway house with others who have agreed to abstain from substances and practice sober-living skills. The relationships and accountability formed here can help individuals strengthen their mental health and achieve long-term recovery. Residents share common spaces such as kitchens and back yards, share meals together, and share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning.

Treatments

Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes physically and psychologically dependent on alcohol. Attending a professional alcohol rehab in Texas can provide customized intervention methods to address the physical, mental, and relational challenges of addiction.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Clinical Services

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

My time at By the Book was truly a life changing experience. Matt was extremely kind and so was the house manager Jason. I’ve been in a few sober livings and this one was the best!
