The doctors are very nice and seemed like they are super knowledgeable. The only reason we were in and under five hours is because we were going to the pediatric emergency department. The reason for the low rating is because the waiting room is so small. And it was packed when we went. For such a large hospital, I don t understand why the waiting room is so small and cramped. Definitely made the experience uncomfortable while waiting

If I could give a zero I would. God awful people and service. Waiting to be seen by just a nurse for 3 hours, when asked for help they gave so much attitude I finally walked out. The nurses were eating cheese sticks and gossiping. They took 3 minutes to respond to a nurses call button. My advice, go somewhere else or stay home. You have a better chance of having wings grow out of your back than you do actually being seen by someone at this hospital.I don t know who runs this hospital but they need to reevaluate the environment and pace of this hospital. I can see why they are understaffed.

We are grateful for the care our family received at this hospital. The ER nurses and the Cardiac ICU team acted quickly to get my husband into a room and immediately began working to determine what was wrong. His symptoms were complex, making the diagnosis a challenge. They ran numerous tests and kept him under close observation until they identified the cause sepsis.Throughout the entire process, the staff was attentive, hardworking, and committed to his well-being. We have no complaints They listened, they worked hard and saved my husband s life. Thank you to the entire team.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level transitional support for clients exiting inpatient rehab. They can also be effective for clients at significant relapse risk Intensive outpatient treatment typically involves between nine and 20 hours of care per week, with the frequency and intensity of treatment decreasing as clients progress in their recovery. Most IOP clients participate in a combination of psychotherapy, recovery education, holistic therapies, and, for some, medication assisted treatment (MAT).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
If you need short-term intensive rehabilitation care that allows you to return home at the end of the day, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the ideal solution. PHP provides structured programming that typically includes therapeutic services, relapse prevention, and medication management. Typically, treatment can run between 3-5 days a week for an average of 90 days. The cost for a partial hospitalization program can vary, but is often covered by providers.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

What an awful experience coming to this hospital. As I sit here with my child for over 12 hours being told they have our results but can share them with us bc their isn’t a room available for us to sit and hear the results. It is now 3:15am we’ve been here since 2:40pm. This place is a complete joke. What a let down of our healthcare. Any time we ask what is going on staff is extremely rude and just says we will make a note of it. I ask for a supervisor and non was provided I was completely blown off. I can’t believe this place is legally allowed to operate this was. I hope and pray I review goes viral and something is done.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. Anything good about this hospital is heavily over shadowed by how long you have to wait to be seen.. I wouldn't utilize the ER here if you have an actual emergency because by the time they take you in you'll be dead already. I brought my 13 month old niece in after being advised by her pediatrician to take her to the ER for a potentially life treating skin infection. They kept us waiting over 9 hours. On top of that the staff were rude and I considerate.. I don't even think 0 stars is enough to express the level of disorganization and unprofessionalism demonstrated at this hospital.

Thursday nite i had someone who went to the ED and even told them he felt suicidal and guess what he got discharged in 30 mins and they even let him wait for his ride outside of the ED without any one watching him.

Wish I could give them zero stars. After the last experience my sister and I had after bringing my mother there for a serious emergency issue I will never go back unless it’s my only option. They were extremely disorganized. The nurse my mother had was by far the worst and the majority of the reason for such a horrendous time there. She was condescending, spoke down to us, gave inappropriate opinions and treated my mother like complete garbage. We even had other staff look at us apologetically and one other actually apologize to us for the behavior she witnessed. The nurse was working with mentally fragile people having serious crises and absolutely should NOT be working with them, it was apparent she was extremely unqualified. She could’ve done more harm than good and it was heartbreaking to see her treat other humans the way she did without a clue of someone’s personal life. She ought to be fired.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Hello Mellisa. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about your family's experience. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to learn more. If you are willing, we encourage you to call 603-663-2666 for the appropriate liaison/department for follow-up. Your mother’s well-being, and the trust of your family, are very important to us.

I have used Elliot for years now. One thing I love is the teamwork and comradery between employees in every department that I have had experience with. They always have provided the upmost car for my children and I as though I was family. They have saved my life on one specific situation. In brief; I went into the hospital for one body part and got diagnosed with a rare cardiac issue involving. the pericardium. I spent 5 days at Elliot. I had complained of heart issues with a doctor not in Elliots group but they didn't listen and kept saying I was fine. When you have fluid on the heart, your not fine! I have many good other good experiences! I am thankful to the staff and doctors I have dealt with since I started going there. I love that they all work well together. Thank you to you Elliot Hospital within th

Had our second child after moving to NH from MA. Our first experience was good (Winchester Hospital) but Manchester was better. Our delivery was ultra quick, the nurses stepped into action and took command. Our stay was only one night but the room was much larger than our first experience. Nurses Arielle and Bry were very helpful but Maunya was exceptional and super caring. Our doctors were informative and though there was a brief concern about oxygen levels, their reassurances and explanations helped ease tension that eventually was a non factor. The food was decent compared to most hospitals and there is an even a Dunks downstairs. I’d definitely choose this location if we had a third child

We’re also glad the doctors helped ease your concerns and that you enjoyed the space (and the Dunks!). Wishing your growing family all the best.
