About Green Bay Comprehensive Treatment Center

Green Bay Comprehensive Treatment Center is an addiction treatment facility for adults in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The staff uses medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help clients recover from opioid addiction. The facility accepts Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance as payment options.

Diverse Medication Options to Fit Your Needs

Every client has their own unique path to recovery from addiction. In understanding this, the staff offers different medication options to find the best fit for your specific needs. The medications that are administered at this location include Suboxone, naltrexone, methadone and buprenorphine.

The staff will determine the appropriate medication to prescribe to you based on your medical and substance use history. Each option can help with reducing common withdrawal symptoms you may be experiencing such as muscle aches and insomnia.

Long Term Healing Through Counseling

Along with medication, you’ll participate in individual and group counseling. In individual counseling, an experienced professional will discuss the potential causes of your addiction and help you to identify your triggers. Your counselor can also guide you in developing coping mechanisms such as mindfulness and developing a support system.

In group therapy, you’ll be in a small group with other patients who are also recovering from opioid addiction. Clients will get a chance to share their stories and also receive encouragement from their peers.

Positive Feedback from Clients

Green Bay Comprehensive Treatment Center has a high rating from reviewers, averaging about 4.2 stars out of 5. In one review, the staff was complimented for being kind and respectful, and the facility overall was praised for being judgement free and supportive.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The goal of drug rehab in Wisconsin is to address drug addiction as a complex issue that involves physical, mental, and relational aspects. During rehab, treatment focuses on each of these areas and gives you the tools you need to achieve and maintain sobriety.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

The word dialectical describes the foundation of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Meaning "opposite," the word refers to the treatment's focus on both acceptance and change. While learning to accept where you are and the emotions you're feeling, you also learn to grow and change to establish healthier patterns in your life.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy offers you a tailored approach to treat drug addiction. This focuses on your unique needs and offers you personalized support outside of a group setting. You begin to understand what triggers your addictive behavior and develop coping skills that can support your recovery.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

Most of these photos of the clinic on the Google search ain't even the Green Bay building. May be of another location. This clinic saved my life. Plain & simple. There's always gonna be downfalls to every solution - you're never gonna get a perfect remedy...however, the downfalls are worth the outcome. Anything is better than living as a slave to opiates. Addiction doesn't discriminate...it'll get anyone of any age, race, background, etc. Demographics don't matter. So don't judge those who are seeking treatment. Be happy they're getting help. Also, don't assume everyone that attends these clinics are low-life criminals. We have all walks of Life come here for treatment. Nurses, veterans, business men/women, & even grandfathers/grandmothers. People you wouldn't think would be in this situation. We even have patients who were on pain meds for cancer & other severe medical conditions prescribed by their doctor -- only to be left in the dust with a physical addiction to those medications. Addiction isn't always mental or psychological. If you're battling addiction yourself & have failed other typical treatments - Medication Assisted Treatment may be the answer. I do believe it should be used only after failing the other traditional methods.

I wanted to say thank you for making me feel important. Not just a "number" but a person who is working on my recovery. Nicole, you are one of the most amazing counselors I've ever had. And even when transferring clinics to another city 2 hours away, you did everything you could to make it easy for me. When i went to guest dose/potentially future transfer to ctc madison east, you guys did the best you could to help me do that. That other clinic made it as difficult as possible for you guys and you still pulled through to make sure i was able to dose. I'm super grateful. Thank you. And nicole- as i said, you are amazing. Congrats on your journey as well. don't stop being you. Ever. you pushed me and made me believe in myself at times i didn't. thank you

This place offers valuable support for people struggling with addiction and seeking a better life. However, it faces challenges related to conflicts among residents. Some individuals bring their children to the facility due to a lack of access to childcare. even though the environment is not conducive for children, with incidents of swearing and yelling occurring. The primary focus should be on transforming lives, and there is a need for improvement in the process of transitioning out of the program.

I have been going here for few years. This place has helped me slowly put my life back together. If you dedicate yourself to the program it dose work. The doctor and nurses are awesome. And the councilors are great. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this place. Only thing I wish they would open one up closer to michigan..

This place saved my life. Edit. Sadly I attempted to enroll and was completely transparent about the problems I am facing and I was sent on my way. Extremely frustrated ad I am having a tough time finding the help I very much need. At this point I'm losing hope. I do think David is absolutely awesome but I feel very alone and unable to find the help I need.

I was dosing in Sheboygan and I have never been to a clinic so bad! Fights, arguments, people sneaking in line and NO consequences! So they just keep doing what there doing because there were NO consequences. I was a nervous wreck and with high blood pressure I had to switch. MY first day here in Green Bay I could feel a world of difference. Staff and nurses were great!
