Calling this place to make a follow up appointment is unheard of at this place of business. I have been trying to get in touch with the appointment desk and they apparently can't pick up the phone. I called and press a different option and still could not get through. perhaps you should see if you even have people skilled enough to pick up the phone for patients that need to be seen

I love my doctor here, but this is the worst and least professional clinic I’ve ever attended. You’ll end up waiting 1-3hrs. Every time. If you ask the reception what’s up or how much longer you get responses akin to “he’s running behind, what you gonna do about it?.” There’s always at least 1 pt losing it over the wait and causing a scene. It’s nasty inside and the bathrooms usually either don’t have toilet paper or are so gross your shoes stick. If it wasn’t for Dr meadow I’d say screw this place years ago. He needs to leave this group and start seeing pts somewhere else. HealthQuest is a waste of time and space and is bringing down his professional name and reputation for being associated with them.

Hello,
Thank you for leaving us feedback.
We are disheartened to hear that your visits to our office have not been as pleasant as we would like.
We value all feedback and will use the information you’ve shared to make the necessary improvements in areas such as professional development and mindfulness.
Before addressing this matter with our staff, we would first like to extend a sincere apology to you.
You noted professionalism, wait time, customer service, and cleanliness as your top concerns.
While providers may run a little behind due to the nature of the business, all agents of HealthQuest must remain professional and respectful in our delivery of messages on their behalf. Professionalism is routinely mentioned in our ongoing customer service training and is revered as the top priority in this regard. Additionally, the company has made a concerted effort to address the restroom concerns as it relates to having the necessary supplies for a washroom. We regularly stock and check restrooms for supplies and cleanliness and do our diligence to replace stolen supplies and clean up after our guests whenever we find that a mess was made. The company has hired professional cleaning services to help with these challenges and has found that there are drastic improvements in this area. However, we will take your grievance seriously and investigate ways we can further improve.
Because we take these complaints seriously, we would love the opportunity to address and resolve matters immediately to ensure your experience goes smoothly. Please note that there are several members in leadership readily available to address all issues, whether it be the cleanliness of our restrooms or a customer service issue.
This does not conclude our efforts in addressing the concerns you’ve raised.
We continue our efforts by conducting an internal investigation to assess the details from various angles before creating the best action plan to hopefully prevent matters like this from happening again.

Thank you for continuing to allow us to be your preferred provider.

Sincerely,
HealthQuest, P.C.

They literally scheduled my first appointment on a holiday for which they are CLOSED! I actually drove all the way out in hopes that by some chance they were actually open because why else schedule an appointment for today and I should have known better but I really needed this appointment. It's very discouraging considering I was looking forward to finally talking to someone and hopefully finding some type of help. How does a trained receptionist actually schedule an appointment on a holiday???? I am in tears right now because I guess I got my hopes up and now I'm not even sure if or when I'll be able to be seen by a doctor after seeing other reviews saying it's hard to get them on the phone. I am still willing to give this clinic a chance because the only other place I know of is Case Management on brooks and I refuse to go back there but I must say this is by far the most unbelievable and inconvenient "first" appointment scheduling I have ever experienced. I hope and pray this doesn't happen to anyone else that is in need of help. I will not let this situation reflect on the doctors but something obviously needs to be done about their receptionists because this is a horrible and damaging first experience 😔😭💔

Accepted Insurance

HealthQuest – The Summits works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehabs are designed principally for clients who require intensive supervision and support, including clients who have just completed detox, clients in early recovery, and clients at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment helps clients stabilize following detox and prepares them to step-down into outpatient and/or community-based care. Clients reside at the facility for the duration of their program and engage in extensive addiction counseling and education. Many programs also offer evidence-based complementary therapies.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) receive robust, personalized care to support their reintegration into their community. Clients stepping down from inpatient treatment frequently enroll in IOP before entering standard outpatient care or community-based recovery programs, such as AA. Intensive outpatient treatment generally involves between nine and 20 therapeutic hours weekly, with the frequency and duration of sessions decreasing as clients stabilize. IOP services commonly include counseling, recovery education, holistic therapies, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive outpatient option for those with moderate to severe addictions, allowing you to return home at the end of the day. It can be an alternative to hospitalization or used as a step-down option. PHP treatment requires a minimum of 20 hours of treatment per week for an average of 90 days. Depending on your needs, PHP treatment includes relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services. PHP treatment is often covered by providers.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When your day-to-day life is taken over by drug use, this is known as substance use disorder. If you abruptly stop using your drug of choice, you experience withdrawal symptoms. To overcome this cycle, professional drug rehab in Tennessee is usually needed.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance abuse treatment in Tennessee is available in addiction treatment centers, where experienced addiction professionals can treat both substance use disorders. Typically, clinicians use a range of evidence-based therapies such as a biopsychosocial assessment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to get a complete picture of your mental health, support systems, and motivation to change. Through an individualized treatment plan, you'll receive the support you need to achieve long-term sobriety through new skills and relapse prevention strategies.

If you have a co-occurring mental health condition and an addiction, you'll want to address both conditions at the same time, under the same roof. If you only address the mental health disorder, you'll likely continue using drugs, which tends to make mental health issues even worse. On the other hand, if you only address the addiction, the symptoms of your mental health disorder will make it very hard to succeed in recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
teen-program thumbnail image

Teen Program

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

The DBT program consists of the completion of a daily diary card and the teaching of skill sets that include distress tolerance, core mindfulness, inclusion interpersonal and middle path (deal with communication and conflict resolution), and emotional resolutions. Patients learn to deal with overwhelming emotions that help them bear pain skillfully with the help of a DBT coach who offers assistance 24/7 through texting (once patient signs consent form).

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

If you participate in motivational interviewing in Tennessee, your therapist will focus on four key strategies: open questions, affirmation, reflections, and summarizing. Rather than confront or warn you to change, the clinician will allow you to explore your own motivations and decide what changes you may need to make in your life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

An effective form of trauma treatment used for individuals who have experienced severe trauma that remains unresolved. The goal of EMDR therapy is to process these distressing memories, reducing their lingering effects, and allowing patients to develop more adaptive coping mechanisms.

Life skills training teaches you how to cope with challenging situations in non destructive ways. This crucial piece of drug rehab in Tennessee gives you tools for decision making, relationship building, and self care.

I’ e been going over two years. Not once has the front glass been cleaned, my providers office has never been even dusted, I’m afraid to use the bathroom - it needs a good scrubbing and better lighting. Last time I was there the bathroom had no toilet paper. Previous time, the light bulb was burned out. The place is shabby. The whole place, including the doors need a coat of paint. The volcanic-crater potholes got filled- but not by Healthquest. The staff isn’t rude but don’t seem happy to be there. I always am pleasant. Derrick Meadows is the only bright spot.

LISTEN PEOPLE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is a scam making sick people sicker. The office is horribly ran, the people they hire are rude, disrespectful, and smell like weed. The doctors will not listen to your concerns and push more meds on you to shut you up. You try to enroll in therapy along with your medication, and they cancel your appointments the day of or you show up and find out your therapist quit. (Yes this happened over and over). I finally went and got a second opinion and found out I was being grossly over medicated and it has now been over a year and I feel amazing! I would probably be dead if I was still going here. I promise, if you want healing, do not go here. If you want to stay sick and medicated, this might be your place. Yes, they are still gaslighting, look at their reply. All of my records (yes I kept everything) reflect what actually happened. I can name the therapists that quit without notice because of the horribly ran practice. If I were you I would look at the 100s of stories from this office and trust those over this money hungry business. Look on Facebook, Glassdoor, all of the review platforms, it is disgusting how many people were treated like this. I got a second and third opinion and absolutely should not have been prescribed what I was. I just hope people coming in who are not in a good place read this and find an office who puts their patients over profit. Good luck, YOU can do this!

Was referred by my doctor. They called me but I wasn't able to answer. I called them back, and they acted like they had no idea who called or what's going on. They called me again the next day. I answered, and they just hung up when I said hello. Called back, once again no one knows what's going on. How can you help people manage their mental health when you can't even handle patient appointments. The only thing this place is doing for my mental health is to make it worse.
