The experience I had at this facility was absolutely phenomenal! I cannot express how much I was able to grow and develop as an individual within the walls of Recreate. I spent 28 days here for the PHP portion of my recovery, and all I can say is I highly recommend this facility to individuals who are serious about their sobriety and want to see that change made in their lives. The staff was incredible, and the community around me did nothing but life me up with encouragement. I was able to express myself truly without any form of judgement thrown my way, and finally find the self-worth I have been yearning for my whole life. Quick shoutout to all of the BHTs (techs) who were by my side through this chapter, as I was able to not only able to call them friends, but family as well. Huge shoutout to Brooke Bosler, the alumni coordinator, who went out of her way to make this experience as amazing as it could be. Like I said, I came in broken, but was able to leave with a new sense of self along with a group I can call family. All my thanks to Recreate! 🩵

Accepted Insurance

Recreate Life Counseling works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Individual therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is a structured approach to identifying and changing negative thought patterns. During therapy you learn how what you think drives your actions so you can develop healthier coping strategies to manage addiction triggers and reduce drug use.

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

This is truly a special place. The love and support I got from all the staff was incredible. Brooke was amazing from day one guiding me through the program. Her door was always open to me. Glenn was a source of constant support. I always knew he had my back. Thomas was amazing as well guiding me through the next steps of aftercare. He really genuinely cared for my wellbeing. Harold aka… Pudge was amazing! He always took care of us. This place saved me. Thank you to all the counselors and techs I was lucky enough to have. If you need help this is the place to find it!

Response from the owner

We’re also grateful for your kind words about Glenn—knowing he was a reliable source of support for you is exactly what we strive for. Our entire team of counselors and techs works hard to create a place where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Your feedback confirms we’re on the right track, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know Recreate Life Counseling played a role in your recovery.

I attended ReCreate in October 2024 at one of the lowest points in my life. While the direct care staff was exceptional, the leadership, clinical oversight, and medication management left much to be desired. Strengths: Dedicated Staff & Supportive Atmosphere The group facilitators and BHTs work tirelessly, offering genuine support and understanding. They see you, they care, and they make a real impact. On a staff level, ReCreate fosters a strong sense of community and healing. The turnover rate is high due to the effortful but unrecognized work the BHT’s do. The Directors of Alumni are incredible people who will provide and inspire so much change. Concerns: Management & Clinical Failures However, issues at the administrative and clinical levels overshadowed my experience: • Unaddressed misconduct – Male staff members made inappropriate comments about my personal life and marriage, yet no immediate action was taken by Director of Operations, Melissa Manzone. • Medication mismanagement – Over my five-week stay, my medication was inconsistently provided, leading to withdrawal symptoms. At one point, I was prescribed two SSRIs at once, triggering severe side effects, including panic attacks, dizziness, tunnel vision, and catatonia. • Therapist misconduct – My primary therapist, Katie, dismissed my symptoms, cursed at me, and accused me of faking my condition to extend my stay. Instead of advocating for my health, she belittled me, argued with me for hours which caused a disruption to group scheduling, and used my past trauma against me in a way that was both unethical and deeply harmful. Many staff members and clients witnessed or heard about her behavior and were outraged, yet no corrective action was taken. After being told by Katie, that she was the only person who would treat me like an adult and hold me to degree I deserved, I blamed myself. I cried, apologized, and wrote her a letter, thanking her. I fawned, and if I could go back I would have stood up for myself. After having seen a therapist following ReCreate, she helped open my eyes to the abuse of power, unprofessionalism, and misconduct. My therapist and I have worked together to remove my self blame and instead advocate for myself. After fighting for a one-week extension to stabilize my medication, and having gone to the ER, I was ultimately approved—proving my concerns were valid. ReCreate excels in substance recovery and is staffed with many incredible individuals who truly care. However, for those seeking mental health treatment, the lack of clinical oversight, poor medication management, and leadership failures, should give pause to those seeking treatment. I share this not out of resentment, but as a cautionary reflection—because mental health care should never leave patients feeling unheard, mistreated, or unsafe.

Response from the owner
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We deeply value your feedback—both the positive and the difficult to hear—as it helps us grow and better serve those who come to ReCreate for help.

We're truly grateful for your kind words about our direct care staff, BHTs, and alumni team. It means a lot to know their compassion and commitment made a difference during your time here.

At the same time, we want to sincerely apologize for the distress you experienced related to clinical oversight, medication management, and your therapeutic care. These concerns are taken very seriously. What you described does not align with the standard of care we strive to uphold. We’re actively reviewing the issues raised to ensure accountability and improvement moving forward.

We’re especially sorry that your concerns did not feel heard in the moment. No one seeking support should ever feel dismissed, unsafe, or unsupported in their healing process. Your courage in advocating for yourself—then and now—is admirable, and we respect your decision to speak up.

Please know that we are committed to learning from your experience and taking the necessary steps to improve how we support every client’s mental health and overall well-being.

If you’d be open to continuing the conversation privately, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further.

Wishing you continued healing and strength in your recovery journey.
