Spravato Treatment for Depression
The center offers Spravato treatments for major depressive disorder. These treatments have proven to be effective for individuals who have been resistant to previous treatments and medications.
The nasal spray quickly alters brain chemistry to reduce feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and indifference. Levels of norepinephrine and serotonin are increased which reduces depression. Clients will participate in talk therapy in addition to Spravato treatments.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment
Transcranial magnetic stimulation uses a repetitive magnetic pulse to stimulate the area of your brain that produces mood regulating neurotransmitters.These outpatient treatments are administered five days per week for four to six weeks and lasts for 40 minutes.
EEG Based Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback will record your brain activity using electrodes. It responds to your brainwaves by guiding it toward healthier patterns. This form of treatment works for ADD, ADHD, anxiety, insomnia, and depression.
Many clients report cognitive improvements and learning improvements. The treatments last 45 to 60 minutes with 30 to 40 sessions over several weeks.
Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine therapy involves a low dose of the drug administered intravenously. Ketamine targets the glutamate receptors in your brain causing your body to create new healthier neural pathways.
Glutamate affects excitability, memory, and other brain functions. The infusion lasts for 45 minutes after which clients must have a ride home because of the dream like state that is created.
Other treatments include bio identical hormones, detoxification and GI healing program, intravenous nutrient therapies, herbal supplements, massage therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Although the main focus of the center is depression and sleep issues, Dr. Aina offers integrated treatment for substance use disorders. You may be referred for ketamine therapy if you have depression and anxiety symptoms.
