Wayside is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't recommend it, and they're staff is a joke. There's one good counselor there, actually 2. Kayla and Alexa. I'm not posting this out of anger or etc. Wayside is just not the place for someone planning on prolonging they're recovery.

This place completely failed me. One of their expectations and rules is no onsite use; totally understand that rule. However, a client was able to hold onto their THC vape for who knows how long, long enough for it to be kept secret among a group of girls at the smoking picnic table, shared amongst who know how many. I had a particularly triggering day that day with my mother, walked outside to use my nicotine vape and saw the thc vape laying there. I hit it without any thought and told my counselor four days later as I felt that was the right thing to do. You know what happened? They discharged me. The director was incredibly unempathetic when I tried to plead my case. I had no issues whatsoever outside of that. I’m saddened that that happened and feel for other women who find themselves in my position. Overall, wayside does stick to their rules and offers great programming and keeps you busy/helps you build routine and take accountability. The staff definitely seem overworked and understaffed with a slew of new employees :( most of the staff do care, and you can see and feel that. I was told I could re enter wayside after 30 days but haven’t heard anything from my counselor, Alexa, when I emailed her about readmitting when I’m able. :(

Don't think there is a place more ghetto. They have bugs everywhere, ants everywhere, the staff as SO RUDE the nurses dont even know basic nursing. This place should be your LAST choice when looking for a treatment. They don't even search you, but take HOURS AND HOURS to process your stuff. Came in for intake at 11am at 6pm they still hadn't had anything of mine processed, but kept telling me I needed to shower and wear their clothing until they had time to search mine, the staff are so disorganized and dont communicate anything. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

People benefit from group therapy sessions that offer them the chance to learn and practice conflict resolution skills with their peers. This helps you recognize your strengths and capabilities, which boosts your self confidence as you work toward overcoming addiction and building a healthier lifestyle.

Qualified therapists in Minnesota offer individual therapy to men and women so they can receive customized care tailored to their needs. Your therapist works to understand your unique circumstances and provide you with targeted interventions and coping skills essential for long term recovery.

Families in Minnesota use family therapy to understand the roles they play in addiction. Each member plays a role and contributes to a pattern of behavior. Families learn to interact in healthier ways that support each other and contribute to their loved one's journey to recovery.

Counselors are great!! I feel that some RAs are pretty good however I had an experience with hilary today and she wouldnt get off her cell phone to help me. I feel some of the RAs dont think about the fact the clients I can only speak for myself..... I am going thru mental health struggles on a daily and I have felt uncomfertable by what Tamara has said to me on two occasions. I am doing my best to stay in my own lane. But the should be held to a standard. They also go outside and smoke or vape for longer than 7 minutes together and the leave us unattended. I feel it could become unsafe. I brought this up to my counselor she said she would talk to her management about it. I will be aasking about it tomorrow and asking to talk to the management myself. I do really like the program and am learning a lot.
