Saint Louis Park, Minnesota | Wayside Women's Treatment Center is a drug rehab and mental health treatment center located in Saint Louis Park, MN. They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery, as well as flexible outpatient addiction therapy allowing patients to live at home while receiving regular treatment. Specialty rehab programs at Ways | Programs Payment Options | I spent a full 90 days at this facility a few years back. Yes, It's an older building but as someone who has SEVERE allergies to everything (look up a condition called MCAS), I never had any issues with mold, bugs or anything while there. and I am really allergic to mold spores. I feel like these negative reviews are just childish. My family and friends were welcomed for visits. YES they do have to leave their phones outside of the facility but for obvious reasons, these rules are in place for a reason.
I will say they made an exception for me within my first 30 days ( it's an expectation that you will not leave the facility without staff in your first 30 days) so I could attend my grandmother's funeral. I was part of the Client committee. I organized workouts and that was encouraged, I ran AA meetings on the weekends and fostered lasting relationships with a lot of the other women there that I still remain friends with today.
Wayside is YES, an older building but it's not THAT old. Plus, if anything goes wrong they get it taken care of as soon as someone can come and fix it.
If anyone has had a bad time at Wayside, it's either you were forced to go to treatment for legal reasons so you have a chip on your shoulder or you\re a prima-donna. There are motels I have stayed at that are 100 times worse than an older building that has normal wear and tear. Which requires maintenance. And they do report and schedule a fix as soon as it's possible for someone to get to the facility.
Stop whining
Signed,
A Gen X'er

I have fought my mental health since I was a teen. (51 now)
I was in United Hospital for a few weeks after being off my meds and having some "issues". After the hospital I came here for 90 days of intensive treatment. It has literally changed my life and outlook ON life more than I could've ever imagined. The staff and the other residents have been amazing. I got my meds all lined up and have been taking them religiously. The groups and the actual treatment has helped me enormously to the point that friends I had lost because of WHO I had become with my bipolar flaring up have come back and are so supportive. I will never forget what Maghakian Place has done for me and there's still two months to go. If you need help, trust me....it's out there. Don't be afraid to WIN the battle you've been fighting!!!!! Plymouth, Minnesota | On Belay House offers hope in Plymouth, Minnesota for adolescent males aged 13 to 18 who are struggling with substance abuse. This residential treatment center is part of the Anthony Louis Center which offers a nurturing and structured environment to foster sobriety and personal growth. The facility accepts private insurance, state funding and sel | Treatments Programs Payment Options | "As a probation agent working closely with at-risk juveniles, I have had the opportunity to refer several clients to Anthony Louis Center – On-Belay House, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. This program provides a structured and therapeutic environment effectively addressing substance use and behavioral challenges while fostering personal growth and responsibility.
One of the most valuable aspects of On-Belay House is its individualized approach to treatment. The staff takes the time to understand each resident’s unique circumstances, tailoring their interventions to meet specific needs. Many of my clients struggle with co-occurring mental health issues, trauma, or a lack of stable family support, and this program excels at addressing those complex factors through counseling, life skills training, and relapse prevention strategies.
Another key strength is the program’s emphasis on accountability and personal development. The structured setting helps youth establish healthy routines, develop coping mechanisms, and build resilience. I have witnessed firsthand how young people who enter the program with little motivation or hope leave with a newfound sense of purpose and confidence. The program also prioritizes family involvement, which is crucial in maintaining long-term success once juveniles’ transition back into their communities.
Additionally, the professionalism and dedication of the staff set On-Belay House apart. They are compassionate yet firm, creating an environment where youth feel supported but also challenged to make meaningful changes. Program staff communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that progress updates are timely and that reentry plans are comprehensive and realistic. As an example of staff’s dedication, one of my clients worked through a restorative justice program after completing inpatient treatment, and their assigned counselor drove to their final meeting in-person, which occurred several months after his discharge from inpatient treatment and was an hour-plus drive for the staff.
Overall, Anthony Louis Center – On-Belay House is a highly effective program for at-risk youth in need of substance use treatment and behavioral support. I have seen significant positive changes in my clients who have participated, making it a vital resource in helping young individuals get back on track. I highly recommend this program to fellow probation agents and juvenile justice professionals seeking a structured, evidence-based intervention for their clients. "

Our son recently was discharged from this facility because he was not following the program. We know it had to do with HIM and his unwillingness to try and don’t put any of that on the staff. Everyone was so down to earth, non judgemental, patient and just all around kind to us from the day we reached out. They kept us in the loop with everything that was happening and were always gracious to us during random pop ins or family visits with our other crazy kids.
The rooms and especially bathrooms were very well kept and clean, our son LOVED the food, and even though the entire experience was positive for us I think the most impressive thing was how caring and helpful they were when it was time for our son to go. They kept him longer than they had to and made him feel loved and heard in our last meeting together when I picked him up. They also went above and beyond helping us place him in another facility by providing all necessary information, paperwork and referrals etc - things that would’ve taken me weeks to do on my own.
Thank you for the work you’re doing with these kids, On Belay!

I am Alan Eller Two Horses and I am a native american alcoholic. I was a client at Health Recovery Center in the winter of 94 and again in the spring of 05. The first thoughts I had when I entered into this treatment facility was why do I get to go here and it seems like hardly anybody else does. I had lost my license and had to take a bus to treatment and for the first time in my life found myself getting there early .Many chronic alcoholics like myself get to a point where they feel trapped by this disease and just give into it, thinking that it will eventually kill them but thats just the way it is, whether they've been to talk therapy treatment or not. I am the only one left in my immediate family, my father, mother and younger sister have all passed on either from addictions or illness directly connected to their addictions. I am alive today because of Health Recovery Center and the rest of my family could have been had they been able to attend and receive this treatment. Even though I relapsed several times I had the tools from this program to get back on track by myself and also the content feeling that I can always come back for the full program. The diet and detox formulas are not hard to follow but once were back out in the real world we get overwhelmed by family and events that try to make us feel guilty for not eating the sugary junk foods offered at them. Over time we can give in and once we open that door we are setting ourselves up for a relapse. I did. Its great to know I can come back to aftercare or the full program any time I need to save my life again.

Edina, Minnesota | M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota, partners with the University of Minnesota Medical School to provide innovative treatment. They’re one of the largest behavior health providers in the region. To be eligible for care in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, clients must be insured through Medical Assis | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I ended up in the ER here during a trip and I felt that my case was treated with care and concern. They were very busy that night so it took a while for me to see Dr Guertz but she immediately ordered tests and worked to make sure I could safely leave (I expressed I didn’t want to be admitted). Katie in security let me borrow her phone charger and Jennifer was great with my MRIs. Wonderful staff, even on such a hectic night!

Dr. Bongu provided exceptional care for my grandmother. He took the time to listen, explain every step in a way she could understand, and treated her with genuine compassion and patience. His professionalism, thoroughness, and kindness made an enormous difference during a stressful time, and our family is deeply grateful for the level of attention and respect they showed her
