So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor.
UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava.
Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy.

Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn’t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today’s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

Of all the treatment I've been to in the last 15 years, Lakeshore has been the best in many ways, but there is always a few bad apples in a bunch.
Let me explain;
THE BEST:
Emily Schwab and the other Certified Peer Recovery Specialists dive in, driven by empathy and altruism. Getting everything a person needs in early recovery taken care of for you and lining up everything for our near future.
The Good:
The counselors care and are very attentive to our needs and help build a treatment plan worthy of a valiant attempt from our end.
The Bad:
Chad Walker. The treatment director. He is arrogant and selfish. He knows best, just ask him and he will tell you. He is very brash to people in vulnerable states and seems to have taken it upon himself to make his own rules and designs outside the scope of what EOSIS is trying to do for recovery.
Get a new director and I would recommend this place to anyone.
Also I think CPRS workers, especially ones this dedicated, should be independent contractors. Or, they should get paid more than "I think" they do because of the amount of actual work they do for us!!!

I've changed my review they've implemented a lot of good things. The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. New Life isn’t rated #1 in Minnesota for no reason. This place has completely changed my life, my outlook on life, and my outlook on myself. I’ve been there twice (2017, and 2021) As much as I’d love to go back because it’s that amazing and life changing, I don’t see that in my life plans unless it’s for a visit/fundraiser. I can’t explain to anyone how great the Program Director, Scott Radloff, is. He never fails to go above and beyond for the clients in his care. He worked so hard to get me in there back in May of 2021, when I wanted to go there again and didn’t want to go anywhere else, and needed help immediately. He is so kind, and always has the right things to say at the right time. All staff there is great, my group of girls was amazing and so close both times. I could sit and try to think for hours and not be able to come up with one negative thing to say about New Life. If you’re struggling, please choose this place! Minneapolis, MN | Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mercy Hospital Unity Campus provides mental health and substance abuse services to adults and teens from all walks of life, regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity. I think it’s great that Mercy Hospital provides treatment and support to teens as well as adults since so often centers focus their efforts on the ad | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This facility and their program is amazing and saved my life. I have been in this program 4 times I believe. This is not because the program was ineffective but because I was battling a lifetime of issues. The staff is like family to me, they genuinely care and they played a huge role in changing my life. I also participated in their aftercare programs PHP/ partial hospitalization program and the step down program from that was the AMHOP/ adult mental health outpatient program. These were also very effective and a key factor in my rehabilitation. After care is so important, although this was stressed when I was completing my treatment plan I did not take advantage of these services the first few times I completed the inpatient program. However after completing both after care programs, I understood the importance and have been able to maintain my mental health and sobriety. Most everyone dealing with addiction knows 9.8/10, we are self medicating dealing with severe underlying mental health issues. So addressing both issues at the same time was definitely what the missing piece to the puzzle. I highly recommend Mercy Hospital Unity Campus! Oh I didn’t mention the food and beds, way better than any other facility I have been to! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. The staff is so warm and welcoming, you will feel right at home! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. Definitely worth investing your time, you will NOT regret your decision to give it a try!

Went in a mess 16 beers a day extremely thirsty so I drank more beer. I wasn't passing water because my liver was so scarred and imflamed. Thought I would putz and brought projects but they allow nothing inside. Hardly books either because of hiding drugs.
It wasn't long before I was aprt of a group of zombies milling about. Having to go get blood pressure checks etc. I wanted to be alone and meditate. Easy to get used to this carefree life. Most take advantage all agreeable to the BS to stay longer. The walls started to close in and I left after 3 days. I only have GOD to thank. But I needed to know I could not drink and live. Very hard but now I'm not afraid and I don't want so much. You have to decide.. I jonesd for cigarettes more than beer.

Despite some of the bad reviews I’ve seen of progress valley? Personally they have helped me many times. I believe recovery isn’t always getting it right the first time. They always welcomed me back with open arms and were proud of me for making the step to come back into an inpatient treatment. I am now going on 5 months sober & am so grateful for the program. If it wasn’t for them and what I’ve learned from them through the years I would probably be dead. Juli is amazing, faith is absolutely a sweetheart and so caring, the director lady Renee used to scare the shit out of me but she just cares about you and is very much just straight forward and wants the best for you. I have seen many people who have graduated the program come back and work there themselves and I believe it’s beautiful because they are also helping their recovery by working with people and helping them stay sober and be supports! I hope one day I could come and work for progress valley! Thank you guys for everything you do & I am sorry that some people have had bad experiences here, progress valley isn’t for everyone just like everyone has different tastes in things. I personally loved progress valley & I always will.
