Despite some of the bad reviews I’ve seen of progress valley? Personally they have helped me many times. I believe recovery isn’t always getting it right the first time. They always welcomed me back with open arms and were proud of me for making the step to come back into an inpatient treatment. I am now going on 5 months sober & am so grateful for the program. If it wasn’t for them and what I’ve learned from them through the years I would probably be dead. Juli is amazing, faith is absolutely a sweetheart and so caring, the director lady Renee used to scare the shit out of me but she just cares about you and is very much just straight forward and wants the best for you. I have seen many people who have graduated the program come back and work there themselves and I believe it’s beautiful because they are also helping their recovery by working with people and helping them stay sober and be supports! I hope one day I could come and work for progress valley! Thank you guys for everything you do & I am sorry that some people have had bad experiences here, progress valley isn’t for everyone just like everyone has different tastes in things. I personally loved progress valley & I always will.

Progress Valley, provided a supportive and personalized treatment experience that significantly aided my recovery journey. The staff were incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, tailoring therapy sessions to my specific needs. Their commitment to holistic care, including group sessions, individual counseling, and wellness activities, created a safe environment to confront challenges and build coping mechanisms. I especially appreciated the accessible and responsive communication from my therapist, who was always available to address concerns. While the initial adjustment period was difficult, the structured program and dedicated staff helped me develop the tools necessary to maintain sobriety upon discharge. I would highly recommend Progress Valley to anyone seeking quality addiction treatment.

I have nearly completed the outpatient program. I too watched the Bill Murray video. The movie is a comedy about a highly regarded therapist and an obsessive compulsive patient that violates the patient therapist relationship continuously. I am not sure what needs explaining. We are all in therapy and if you paid attention you would have learned many lessons about life and life in therapy. Also it was humorous and certainly was a team building exercise. This is group therapy. I am not sure why someone would write on the comments with second hand knowledge of the therapy received. The person that received the therapy should write more detail on why he/she thought it was bad. Someone in treatment that doesn't want to be there complaining to his mom is hardly good information. The group I am is always changing and yet the group is dynamic and contributes a lot to helping each other. Some of the people that come in occasionally just don't want to participate and if you don't participate you don't get much from the group. Seldom is this a problem and that is a testament to the excellent leadership. Group therapy is not a counselor to class one way learning experience. The counselor keeps the group on point and it is up to the patient/participant to get something out of counseling. There is plenty of homework to do and the counselors are always available for after group discussions. If your son was having problems with understanding the reason for the movie he just had to ask. We also occasionally play group games. If anyone is having trouble in the group the group members are always there to help out. The facility is easy to get to and easy to park near the door if that matters. The group talks on break. There are regular drug tests and relapses are discussed openly if you unfortunately choose drugs during the program. As for insurance that probably could be explained better but as you said you should have checked up on it if you weren't getting bills. Certainly if your insurance company is not following up with any bill analysis something is wrong. It was explained to me that your portion of the bill is generally lumped into one payment at the end. Your insurance company is the one that makes the decisions not the center. My insurance is BCBS and treatment which is generally out of network thanks to the misguided forces caused by Obamacare can be expensive. There is financial help available if you qualify and you can still ask. Ultimately insurance and the bill is the responsiblity of the patient and it is your responsibility to understand how the billing works. If you didn't do this you failed in your responsibility. I have been going 3 times per week for 3 hours and the time goes by fast. The discussion is relevant and the group spends more time on anyone that needs more input. 3/4ths of the class is there because they are forced to be there by law. Yet anyone participating seems to be having a good time and they are glad they are there. Most report that it is far better than the 12 step meetings though an outside meeting each week is a requirement for each participant. Like any educational or life changing learning experience the number one determinate of success is the willingness of the patient to be open and honest. Also to put the time in necessary after group to learn the things they need to learn to be successful. If you are expecting to go there and sit around and graduate with some sort of diploma, cured of addiction, you aren't going to succeed anywhere. This is a great program and it is outpatient. The people are very focused on your success in the program. Maybe it isn't the perfect solution for a young person that is feeling put out by being there but for anyone motivated to get better this place is great.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't say enough good things about Nystrom and Associates in Eden Prairie! I've only had two therapy appointments so far, but I'm already looking forward to scheduling my next ones. Heidi Bishop has been absolutely wonderful! She creates a safe and supportive environment that makes it easy to open up about my feelings and experiences. I'm hopeful that our work together will help me navigate the challenges I'm facing. I also had a Rule 25 assessment with Julien Monroe, and she was fantastic! She was not only sweet but also incredibly efficient with her time. It was clear that she genuinely understood my situation and communicated everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and heard. I appreciate the variety of services they offer, including my upcoming telehealth appointment with an ARHMS worker. It's great to have multiple ways to connect, making it convenient to fit therapy into my busy schedule. Plus, having so many resources available in one place makes it easy to manage all my needs and appointments. Overall, I highly recommend Nystrom and Associates. The staff is caring, professional, and truly invested in helping their clients. I’m excited to continue my journey with them! Thanks! —Jerzee

Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. I want to share my extremely positive experience with Kristen Metcalf, PA-C. After a very difficult and discouraging day dealing with other clinics, I came to Fairview feeling anxious, exhausted, and honestly a bit hopeless. Kristen changed everything. She treated me with genuine respect, patience, and kindness. She listened carefully, took my symptoms seriously, and never rushed me. For the first time today, I felt heard and understood. She provided clear medical explanations, validated my concerns, and helped me finally get the documentation I needed regarding my asthma flare and recent illness. The letter she wrote for me was thorough, professional, and thoughtfully worded. It reflected real care for the patient’s situation—not just “checking boxes,” but truly supporting me. Because of her compassion and professionalism, I have decided to make Kristen my new primary care provider moving forward. I am deeply grateful for her empathy and her dedication. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about patients, I highly recommend Kristen Metcalf, PA-C.

If I could remember everyone’s names from start to finish of our 24 hour stay I would certainly give thanks to them all. Every single staff member we came across was beyond kind and helpful. My daughter and son had amazing experiences and they actually have BRAGGED about surgery to their little 4 and 2 year old friends. You guys made everything so easy. I was beyond impressed with everyone however I’d like to give one specific shout out to Megan a PICU RN that was spending her time in the Rehab unit. She was our first nurse to attend to our recovery room with my son for his 24 hour stay. My son loved her and she was GREAT with him. Made sure she got to know him, showered him with love, and constantly was his cheerleader. Hoping she receives some sort of recognition or more for her excellent patient care.

Shout out to Fairview Fridley! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were calm, patient, and kind, even when my insurance wasn’t showing correctly. They gave me clear options, helped me quickly sort things out, and I was seen within minutes. My nurse was friendly and efficient, and my bloodwork was done so gently I didn’t even feel it. Most importantly, Dr. Green is amazing! Smart, relatable, and genuinely caring. She listened, offered thoughtful advice and some great recommendations and made me feel completely heard and supported. This experience was such a contrast from a different Fairview location I used to visit, where I often felt judged, overlooked, and like the staff were either overworked or disconnected. At Fridley, everything feels different in great way. I have had a handful of web calls with my Doctor now and I’ve been at the clinic 3 times now for annual check ups & I truly say feel cared for and confident in my healthcare team. Huge shoutout to Dr. Green and the entire staff! 🖤

I like the Doctors here. I found one in 2019 that I really like but I changed DR's just to have a new handful of ailments since covid. I returned back to the original DR and I'm glad I did. He ordered up a bunch of labs and other things so we can figure out what is going on with my health.
