I think this place taught me a lot about why I am the way I am but I definitely still struggle with the same issues as I did in the past. individual therapy was prob the only thing that really helped me get myself. HUGE shout-out to Preet because she literally made my experience so much better and and made me feel so heard. being there was the hardest thing I've ever been through because I didn't want to be there. she always made me feel heard and understood and it is very clear that she actually cares about the kids and can relate to them. Give my girl Preet a raise right now!!!!

This place made me more unstable than I was going into it. The level system really messed with my head and got to me. At times where I would be at my lowest trying my hardest and o would get level dropped, which obviously didn’t make me want to keep trying. The DAY before I left I got dropped a level and was therefore unable to leave a plaque. I think that was uncalled for and honestly stupid. The other clients were nice but this one girl made total sense why she was there. The “outings” were few and far between. The only places we actually went to was the a farm, and rock climbing. Sometimes we would be able to go to a selected place (which was usually the plant nursery) but that also depended on if we got new people or if someone behaved badly. One staff member made it very clear he had favorites and would neglect/belittle other clients. The only person that kept me going in there was Breah. I miss her everyday. She was my favorite staff member. And due to negligence my letter that I wanted to give her was sent home with me instead of to her. Overall the experience was overwhelming and NOT what a child with minor issues should be sent to. Oh yeah also they wouldn’t let you see your family if you were a certain level. So if you expect to see your child, don’t. DO NOT EXPECT GREAT RESULTS FROM A BAD PLACE.

Evolve uses effective evidence-based clinical care to create a strong program. This is a tough population to work with, and nonetheless, everyone at Evolve remains deeply committed and invested in each clients treatment. Absolutely recommend.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. I was in this evolve treatment center from around June to early august and its truly disgusting the way that not only these houses are ran but also how the staff treats the kids. The extremely under qualified staff do not know how to give the mental health attention required to youths who are sent there directly after the mental hospital. My own personal experiences ranged from being invalidated by staff and punished for making mistakes that played into basic human necessities like showers and basic hygiene. Their "leveling system" used "privileges" to give and take away things that were needed like being able to see your family. They do not encourage, they blame, punish, and ridicule. While the licensed therapists were helpful, the staff that we were predominantly around were anything but understanding and helpful. I had a experience with a particular staff member that made our relationship inappropriate and did unwanted favors for me. This particular staff member played into me and another patients emotions and made the experience even worse than it already was. He quit by screaming at everyone, getting in a verbal fight with another client, almost getting physical, while other staff present just watched and didnt do anything. After this entire incident myself and another client were completely dismissed and invalidated when trying to talk and report about the incident. I was forced to stay in this house where all of these traumatizing events took place and not belived about what I went through there. I truly believe that I was mentally abused and left worse than I entered. Please do not send your kid here, you are not helping, you are truly hurting.
