i wouldn’t have gotten clean if not for this program. amazing staff, amazing program and amazing recovery. stacey became like a second mom to me, toby is hands down the best therapist i’ve ever had, kanoe and chevone have become family through the program and since i decided to stay in hawaii permanently, aunty V and her never ending wisdom was also a massive piece in my recovery….i could go on and on about this place. every single staff member is incredible and my recovery wouldn’t have happened if not for the immense amount of love and support i received during and after my time here. could not recommend enough. if you’re ready to take that next big step and change your life for the better, this is the place 🫶🏻

My counselor was awesome. Real and genuine person that cared for me and my recovery. I don’t know where I would be without her. She really pushed the extent of my care which made my recovery a success. Much Mahalo to her for doing her job and giving me hope.

The well educated counselors and skilled therapists at ‘O’hana Makamae approach recovery differently from other drug and alcohol treatment centers. Clients are seen as individuals and are treated as valued members of a family. They Recognize no “one size” recovery plan works for everyone. Treatment plans provide life skills used in building individual success stories. Is ‘Ohana Makamae for everyone... absolutely not. It’s purpose is to be a hand that leads those suffering with substance use disorders out of the darkness into the light.... while embracing Hawaiian values, traditions and heritage. I enjoyed everyday working with the clinical staff and witnessing lives change. I’d most definitely return in the future.

I actually believe that my ER doctor actually saved my life. They were quick polite, patient and professional. I would give them 10 stars if I could settle on five.

Getting off substances can be really daunting, but the Ohana addiction treatment center was there for me every step of the way. I arrived in a pretty dark spot, lacking self-love and struggling, but the staff showered me with kindness and made me feel at ease and secure throughout the whole journey. I truly appreciated my time there, even with the tough situation, and I would definitely recommend it❤

I just finished a 7-day alcohol detox today. Honestly, every single staff member there is INCREDIBLE. I was so nervous about walking through those doors, but once I started talking to the staff, they made me feel comfortable right away. They really care about their work and genuinely want the best for the patients. Plus, the chef is fantastic delicious food to help restore your body! This center is a real gem, I can't recommend it enough!

Professional, empathetic. Run by a long term provider who understands the clients. Not rigid. Easily accessible. Nice to be somewhere you can say the truth and be yourself.

I was in a bad way luckily for me I was court ordered to do classes. I went in with a closed mind and after a couple of classes, I realized how messed up I was and started to go to the classes with an open mind. Christopher is a very good councilor, he got through to me like no one could. Long story short I learned a lot about myself and the reasons I am the way I am and how to change the destructive patterns I was choosing. Christopher and Access Capabilities help me change my life for the better. And to top it off he worked out a payment plan for me because I didn’t have health care coverage at the time.
