I am a recent alumni of The Honu House. I came from Maui, recovering from serious medical issues, a broken spirit, and a desperation for change. I am now just over 8 Months sober! The Honu House team gave me the genuine care and love I wasn't even aware that I needed. Everything they offer has been a crucial part of my recovery. The breath work, to the the various types of therapy like codependents anonymous. One on one sessions, trauma work, yoga it goes on and on! I honestly believe I wouldn't be where I am at in my recovery with out The Honu House.

Been to rehab a dozen times over last 15 years and never stayed sober long enough to hit my one year sober until I went through the Honu house program. I did 90 days. Super chill, 12-step based, but not hardcore militaristic like some gnarly programs. It’s co-ed, in a beautiful house on the mountain in Kona with a view of the ocean about a mile and a half away. I thought it was great because it wasn’t a super crazy packed schedule everyday, they understand the value of personal time. Fun outings, gym time, meditations, yoga, weekly massages!!! Spoiled!! JB and Nick are awesome guys, I highly recommend.

I have two family members who have attended WHEA and they loved learning at this school. The teachers treat the students with respect and encourage self-directed learning, although the teachers remain available to help. The curriculum is exciting and allows for the students to do exploration in the natural environment.

I was in a bad way luckily for me I was court ordered to do classes. I went in with a closed mind and after a couple of classes, I realized how messed up I was and started to go to the classes with an open mind. Christopher is a very good councilor, he got through to me like no one could. Long story short I learned a lot about myself and the reasons I am the way I am and how to change the destructive patterns I was choosing. Christopher and Access Capabilities help me change my life for the better. And to top it off he worked out a payment plan for me because I didn’t have health care coverage at the time. This is one of my favorite places to just go and hang out! There are lots of options for meetings, you can siit and read a grapevine, play cards, do a puzzle, play music, hang with friends, and there lots of service opportunities and fun events. Came from out of state to guest dose here and the process was seamless and easy. Very nice people and a great island all the way around to visit. Loved the whole island all the way around. And usually I dont post reviews but I had planned a trip previously to Tennessee which is where my sister lives. And I was guaranteed through my drs and the drs in Tennessee they everything was approved to go smoothly. Except when I got there nurses said they spoke to nurses who lied and said they didnt and they whole entire mess ruined the trip. So I wanted to make sure I gave this clinic a sparkling ✨️ review because when you're in a program that you depend on and you check all the boxes and do everything you should then things should go as promised. This clinic helped make the trip happen the way that it should. And I commend the nurses, drs, and staff members that help people like me every single day. 😊

While visiting Maui on vacation, our 18-month-old suddenly developed nonstop coughing and wheezing at 4 a.m. on a Sunday. He was struggling to breathe, and we were very worried. The hotel suggested a doctor on call, but we went straight to Maui Memorial Hospital ER and I am so glad we did.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible. Within five minutes we were checked in and in a room. Nurse Aaron was so attentive, helping get his oxygen monitor set up and keeping us calm. Then Dr. Lee came in, and I immediately felt at ease. He knew exactly what to do, explained that Hawaii’s environment can trigger allergies differently, and started treatment right away. Thanks to him, our son received the right medicine and breathing treatments, and before long he was smiling and happy again.
We didn’t have to cancel the rest of our trip, and I’m beyond grateful to God, Dr. Lee, Nurse Aaron, and the team at Maui Memorial for taking such amazing care of our little boy.

Went in at labor and delivery for a scary fall at 25 weeks pregnant and got checked out promptly. Dr. Bullock and nurse Lindsey were amazing and attentive. I felt truly taken care of! Super grateful to them.
