Came from out of state to guest dose here and the process was seamless and easy. Very nice people and a great island all the way around to visit. Loved the whole island all the way around. And usually I dont post reviews but I had planned a trip previously to Tennessee which is where my sister lives. And I was guaranteed through my drs and the drs in Tennessee they everything was approved to go smoothly. Except when I got there nurses said they spoke to nurses who lied and said they didnt and they whole entire mess ruined the trip. So I wanted to make sure I gave this clinic a sparkling ✨️ review because when you're in a program that you depend on and you check all the boxes and do everything you should then things should go as promised. This clinic helped make the trip happen the way that it should. And I commend the nurses, drs, and staff members that help people like me every single day. 😊

The location in Hawaii definitely caught my attention at first, but the reason I stayed committed to the program was everything beyond the scenery. The experiential therapy ended up helping me more than I expected. I was nervous about coming here for a lot of reasons, but mostly because previous treatment experiences had left me pretty skeptical. What surprised me was how comfortable the environment felt from the start. It never had that cold institutional feeling I was expecting. I did a 30 day program at HIR and can honestly say it was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. From the daily therapy, the meetings, the food provided by the chef and the outings, this program is made to work if you want it to. All the staff were beyond great and very attentive when needed. Groups were honestly great. The therapy felt real too, not like they were just sitting there listening to me. I didn't expect to actually have fun in treatment but I did here. It’s not like an institution, which made it easier to actually deal with my stuff. Staff were around no matter what time it was, never felt like nobody was paying attention. When I left I had an actual plan, people to call, next steps figured out. If you're on the fence, just go for it.

I have been to three rehab places and the all time best one is definitely the ohana recovery in Hawaii the therapist are absolutely sharp and can in my opinion break through to anyone. The facility is definitely absolutely beautiful, warming, welcoming makes you feel at home. The private chefs are incredibly amazing. The outings are beautiful and incredible. The outings can not only be healing but great history lessons as well. The yoga, meditation, sound baths really are important in recovery in my opinion. If you want to go to a rehab I think the Ohana Recovery is the place to get it done at!

I have two family members who have attended WHEA and they loved learning at this school. The teachers treat the students with respect and encourage self-directed learning, although the teachers remain available to help. This review is for the Maternity Ward/Birth Center of Kona Community Hospital! I had my Baby at Kona Community Hospital in the month of May, 2026 via scheduled c-section with my Doctor's from Alii Health Center. Every staff member I met through the entire C-section process was incredible. The anesthesiologist, nurses, lactation consultant - every, single, one. A week later I landed back in the Maternity Ward/Birthing Wing, but this time, by myself as I experienced Postpartum Preeclampsia. This experience felt devastating for me at the time but the Doctors and Nurses here were so good and sweet to me that they made my experience as good as it could be. From deep talks, to joking, laughing and poking fun at the situation and even just letting me cry it all out - each person offered something unique. They brought me snacks at off hours, crafted "mocktails" with the beverages from the cafeteria and did their best to offer me as much medical freedom and personal freedoms as possible - let me shower! They truly did all they could do to uplift me. I even want to add that the sweet woman down at the front desk/check in of the Hospital is incredibly compassionate and sweet. I feel like the entire staff here is rooting for you and I am thankful that they saved my life twice and my babies life by getting her earth side safely! 🤍🙏🤍

I was in a bad way luckily for me I was court ordered to do classes. I went in with a closed mind and after a couple of classes, I realized how messed up I was and started to go to the classes with an open mind. Christopher is a very good councilor, he got through to me like no one could. Long story short I learned a lot about myself and the reasons I am the way I am and how to change the destructive patterns I was choosing. Christopher and Access Capabilities help me change my life for the better. And to top it off he worked out a payment plan for me because I didn’t have health care coverage at the time.
