I was a bit worried about having to go to an emergency room on Labor Day. Such a pleasant experience, the receptionist was polite and helpful, I was immediately taken to a room greeted by a healthcare worker who took down all my information, the nurse came in, explained that the doctor would be in shortly the doctor did come in, gave me the pain medication that I needed and treated my wound in a very timely matter. Thank you for such a good experience on a holiday.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Queen’s Medical Center My husband had a serious accident in the ocean and broke a vertebra. We had to go to Queen’s Medical Center in the middle of the night – and from the very beginning, everything was handled with absolute professionalism. The nurses and doctors were incredibly kind, caring, and helpful. My husband received all the necessary examinations promptly, thoroughly, and without any hassle. A very special thanks goes to Dr. Afshari, who took a lot of time to explain the findings to us and supported us with great expertise and compassion during this difficult time. The nursing staff was also consistently friendly, attentive, and supportive – we felt very well cared for. A huge thank you to the entire team! Peter and Manuela

If you know me, you know my expectations are sky high. First of all, I want to compliment the lovely ladies who helped me to get an appointment. I don’t remember their names but the phone call was very pleasant. Mahalo!!! Secondly, the text reminders was super helpful as well as filling out the documents online was good experience. When I checked in today, the receptionist was very polite and kind, smiling. Love it! Lol The person who took my vitals, did my EKG, I forgot to ask her name again but she was amazing. I loved her attitude and her overall demeanor , personality and she seemed to love her job. Love it! I saw APRN Jasmine Kaanapu! Mahalo Doctor Kaanapu for your thorough evaluation , analysis and your compassion and understanding. I truly appreciate it. I also appreciate you taking my concerns about my health VERY SERIOUSLY!!!! Because of you and your discernment and quick thinking , you sent me to the ER and I’m glad I came. I’m here sitting in the ER ROOM waiting for my blood lab results , and also a cardiologist. I’m so thankful to you, Doctor Kaanapu!!! I really wish you could see children too… The receptionist told me when I asked for my son to establish care that I needed to be referred to pediatrics. That sucks , cause after todays appointment with you, I would trust you to see my children…. Seriously. Like I said in the beginning, my expectations are high and I’ve been to the doc/hosp a lot to know who’s a good doctor. Anyways, my experience with Wahiawa Health has been excellent so far. Thank you!

KKH Recovery Center had this calm, steady energy that made it easier to breathe again. From day one, they treated me with real kindness — no judgment, no pressure, just support that felt honest and consistent. The program helped me slow down and actually face the stuff I’d been running from. I can't believe this is the best we can do in Kona. This shabby place is no way hopeful for anyone faced with the challenges of having a member of the family in need of help with addiction. The receptionist has a distinct negative attitude toward everyone that walks through these doors. I have found their practice of UA collection to be frightening and geared toward failure. When I turned to this facility for help with my teens alcohol abuse I was shown only disdain, as if I was the reason for the problem that now face my family. The woman I spoke with showed no compassion what so ever and seemed to be bothered by my presence . I left feeling hopeless and rejected. It took days for the negative vibes to tone down but this has left a cold space where I needed genuine service. I am shocked that this is the place recommended by our courts. It really leaves a sense of shame and failure that should be replaced with hope and creative resources that fuel positive change in our little town. We truly need an alternative to this dismal place . All I have seen here in several years is just another place that some of the lost and unaware addicts a place where they can meet up with one another right outside it's very doors. I wish each officer of the court could experience this place first hand while unidentified as whatever position they are in before being considering their referals. This should be standard practice if they are to gain any real understanding of the people they are appointed to advise and make decisions regarding their treatment. They sit in their courtrooms in a world of us and them. If we are truly to commit to loving and helping one another, we must first see ourselves as one . We are currently alienated from each other's viewpoints and challenges. This way we can come together and face all these situations that now pose a serious threat to our well being as denizens of our beautiful planet. Unity will keep us strong because we all have something to offer. You all have a great day and if you are looking for the place to offer shelter in your storm, keep looking.
