I called for 5 days straight and would not be admitted because of fentanyl use. I was never even given a call back and the screening lasted but 1 minute until I said the word fentanyl. I quite doing the fentanyl ans have still been discriminated against for a detox that is a lofe or death situation for me yet is a burden to them as I’ve been hung up on twice and I’m getting a lawyer for false advertisement. On their webpage, it says the only eligibility is to be 18 years old and a substance abuse problem. Period my experience so far has shown me that that is a very untrue statement and false advertisement. I would have given them a zero if I could have. There is absolutely no compassion for the addict and there is no one there that is not just there for a pay check which is really sad being they are the only detox on the island.

This is a disgusting “treatment” center that capitalizes off addicts that are stuck in Hawaii’s jail system and trying to get help. The curriculum itself is identical to the programs they have in jail that doesn’t focus on rehabilitation or learning to transition back into society. The “counselors” do the bare minimum to keep their funding alive and try their best to keep the people in this program stuck inside their system. If you have the choice I would strongly recommend getting help elsewhere. There are a lot of other programs on the island that actually have counselors that care and are empathetic and trying to help you transition safely to society.

First off Erin the front desk receptionist should be the poster girl of every business employee ……. Welcomed me with a big pleasant smile and helped me fulfill my membership professionally from beginning to the end ……. She deserves a raise!
As far as the amenities I was blown away and was pleasantly surprised on all of the equipment at my disposal kinda like a kid in a candy store. Today (November 1st) I had to edit this review because of two ongoing things ……. One there is ZERO dust under the equipment machines! Unlike other gyms this one is spotless (props to Mark head of maintenance)! And secondly and more importantly Erin is still smiling nearly two months later! She treats me and others with the most kindest respect each and every time ……. Simply remarkable in a human being let alone an employee!
Definitely recommend anyone to be a member there hands down a NO brainer!

I had a great experience with Ku Aloha. I was on the clinic for almost 5 years. I even stopped smoking cigarettes when I was on the clinic.We had to attend group sessions and one on one counseling sessions.i decided to attend their tobacco cessation program. They gave me patches and gum to help with the cravings and honestly I wouldn't have been able to stop without them. Patches and gum are expensive at Longs . They really helped my Well Being in every aspect. With the individual counseling and the group sessions , I was really able to feel good about myself again. Thank you to all the counselors and doctors and nurses and staff that helped me there .

Had a hard time admitting I needed help, but the setup here made it feel less like rehab and more like a personal reset. It’s not ultra-luxurious, and there were some scheduling hiccups, but the staff was sincere and the CBT work really helped my anxiety. I kept up with my company too, which was key.

Worst experience ever. All I have to say is if you want to deal with rude assistants, no communication with the doctor for cancelation or rescheduling appointments for medications, and leaving you with no medication and an assistant who is not sorry for anything and won't take acceptance for what is wrong(named Stephane), and a doctor who works one day a week. Mind you this your first time experience with them Good luck to anyone who has Mrs Rosario Augustin as a doctor here.

Not to mention I had to ask five times who it even was before realizing it was the hospital. First I was told one thing, then something completely different. It felt like a game of broken telephone. First time going to this relatively new YMCA. Glad that they are there to serve the community. Very basic ... A couple of meeting rooms and (finally) a covered play area to keep the kids shaded on hot Sunny days... Which is almost every day. This place taught me many things, thanks to the help I received in this place I learned how to control my emotions, it is a great help for people who are fighting against additions. I had already been to other help centers but it had not had any results.
