I had the best experience with Cheryl and Mary Ellen. I had trouble getting the provider to send the order and then they messed up twice assuring me it was correct. Cheryl was so helpful to me and empathized with my frustration and need to get the imaging done before my 9/3 follow up appointment. I have seen Mary Ellen several times in the past year for my finger and now meniscus. She is so pleasant, caring and thorough. Castle is blessed to have them both. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Great experience. I was brought onto a bed in the hallway because the rooms were full. But as soon as one opened up, I was moved into it. That was my only issue which wasn't their fault so all an all, it was a in and out quick.

I had a genuinely great experience during my stay at detox. I went in expecting to be miserable and counting the minutes until I could leave, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. I met some really solid people who were going through the same thing, and having that support made the whole process not just manageable, but surprisingly enjoyable. The staff was friendly, supportive, and went out of their way to help me with applications and next steps for treatment. It honestly felt like a much‑needed break from real life—a chance to step back, reset, and really look at my goals and where I want my life to go. By the end, I actually didn’t want to leave, which still makes me laugh. I’m hoping this is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience, but if I ever do need help again, I know exactly where to go. Thank you to the entire ATS Detox team for being such an important part of the beginning of my sober journey. One day at a time, and I’m grateful you were there at the start.

Kupuna social groups stimulate our aging brain and lower our cognitive decline. The Y’s garden also offers senior gardening participation and healthier eating habits. Waianae’s YMCA unique, creative and high level leadership, with little financial support, is exceptional in its intrinsic worth you won’t find anywhere on the Waianae coast, or maybe never will if we lose what we currently have. The saying, “leave no soldier behind,” could easily be applied to our kupuna. We need our State and federal legislatures to start paying more attention to Waianae’s YMCA.

I had a great experience with Ku Aloha. I was on the clinic for almost 5 years. I even stopped smoking cigarettes when I was on the clinic.We had to attend group sessions and one on one counseling sessions.i decided to attend their tobacco cessation program. They gave me patches and gum to help with the cravings and honestly I wouldn't have been able to stop without them. Patches and gum are expensive at Longs . They really helped my Well Being in every aspect. With the individual counseling and the group sessions , I was really able to feel good about myself again. Thank you to all the counselors and doctors and nurses and staff that helped me there .

I came to Queens from out of state with a complex medical history and complex set of illnesses. Originally I was booked to do diagnostic imaging and potential neurosurgery with Dr. Hui from the neurosurgery department here but my case was re-assessed and a different surgery was prioritized first due to the impact it was having on my body. I have to say that my care here from Dr. Hui, Dr. Itoga and Dr. Agbayani has been top notch. The nurses have also been stellar. I have never had this thorough and compassionate of medical care as what I have experienced here. Dr. Hui & Dr. Itoga pivoted last minute to provide the best surgical option based on my symptoms and problem areas. I have been staying in the hospital now for 7 days, and this is the first hospital I have not been dying to get out of. I am still in recovery post surgery but everyone is very attentive and caring. There is very little wait time if any from when you press your nurse call button. I am extremely grateful to have received care from such an intelligent, kind and creative bunch. The staff and Doctors here are not your average, they are out-of-the-box thinkers and able to take on complex cases with ease. THANK YOU to all of the staff for caring for me, this has made a very big difference in my quality of life since becoming disabled 5 years ago.

1 1/2 day Hospital stay. Thank you. I was started on 2 new meds in which one has been noticeably helpful. I do not think its one my doctor will agree with? (non-controlled ofcourse). Hopeful though! The doctors notations should be most helpful in my pursuit. Thank you so much for documenting. *4 months later, I have secured new medical professionals. After meeting with that brilliant physician one time I wanted my healthcare team to be as open minded as he was. He changed my perspective of how much control I have concerning my own health care and what I do not have to accept.

Mark Turansky / New Horizons Counseling changed my life. I had high hopes when I started the program, but deep down I questioned how it could possibly turn my situation around. I was in so deep. I tried everything and nothing helped. But the New Horizons program not only worked, it inspired me to quit drinking in less than 24 hours. And I haven't had a drink since. This program works. The process has been around for awhile and it's life changing, but there's something about the way Mark presents it that creates the real miracles. His counseling style is one of a kind. Couldn't reach them on the phone so we walked over to schedule an appointment. They were pretty accommodating. My husband got into a program pretty quick. They only do zoom, and don't drug test, so if you're PO requires that you gotta figure it out another way. The engagement is pretty high. I hear my husband speaking on his meetings more than he probably did at his old in person program.
