I want to express my deepest gratitude to the hospital where I received care. From the very first moment I arrived until the moment I left, I experienced an exceptional level of warmth, kindness, and professionalism. Every single person – doctors, nurses, reception staff, and support team – treated me with patience, compassion, and genuine care.
The medical staff showed remarkable expertise, paying close attention to every detail, explaining each step clearly, and making me feel I was truly in the best hands. Beyond the high level of professionalism, their smiles, positive energy, and humanity transformed my stay into a truly uplifting experience, even in difficult moments.
I felt that I was not only being treated as a patient, but truly seen as a person. It is rare to find a place that combines such outstanding medical care with such a big heart and genuine humanity.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire incredible team – for your professionalism, warmth, and the one-of-a-kind care you provided. I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of treatment and leave with immense gratitude.

I can't believe this is the best we can do in Kona. This shabby place is no way hopeful for anyone faced with the challenges of having a member of the family in need of help with addiction. The receptionist has a distinct negative attitude toward everyone that walks through these doors.
I have found their practice of UA collection to be frightening and geared toward failure. When I turned to this facility for help with my teens alcohol abuse I was shown only disdain, as if I was the reason for the problem that now face my family. The woman I spoke with showed no compassion what so ever and seemed to be bothered by my presence . I left feeling hopeless and rejected. It took days for the negative vibes to tone down but this has left a cold space where I needed genuine service.
I am shocked that this is the place recommended by our courts. It really leaves a sense of shame and failure that should be replaced with hope and creative resources that fuel positive change in our little town. We truly need an alternative to this dismal place . All I have seen here in several years is just another place that some of the lost and unaware addicts a place where they can meet up with one another right outside it's very doors.
I wish each officer of the court could experience this place first hand while unidentified as whatever position they are in before being considering their referals. This should be standard practice if they are to gain any real understanding of the people they are appointed to advise and make decisions regarding their treatment. They sit in their courtrooms in a world of us and them. If we are truly to commit to loving and helping one another, we must first see ourselves as one . We are currently alienated from each other's viewpoints and challenges. This way we can come together and face all these situations that now pose a serious threat to our well being as denizens of our beautiful planet.
Unity will keep us strong because we all have something to offer. You all have a great day and if you are looking for the place to offer shelter in your storm, keep looking.

When one of us struggles with addiction, man, the ripple effect just hits everyone. And this KKH place, they totally get that. They didn't just help my brother; they became a real part of our family during the toughest, most messed-up times. The constant, clear talks, the real concern they showed for every single person involved, the way they supported us as much as him – that just made all the difference, for real. It's more than just some clinic; it's a place where families, the whole damn bunch of us, can start to heal and put things back together.

KKH Recovery Center had this calm, steady energy that made it easier to breathe again. From day one, they treated me with real kindness — no judgment, no pressure, just support that felt honest and consistent. The program helped me slow down and actually face the stuff I’d been running from. Every session felt intentional, like it had purpose. I left KKH not just clean, but grounded — like I finally had my feet under me. They didn’t rush the process — they respected it. And that made all the difference.

Except when I got there nurses said they spoke to nurses who lied and said they didnt and they whole entire mess ruined the trip. So I wanted to make sure I gave this clinic a sparkling ✨️ review because when you're in a program that you depend on and you check all the boxes and do everything you should then things should go as promised. Kula, Hawaii | Nova Luna Center is a mental health day treatment program that empowers people to be their own guides and healers through a process of self-discovery as they address their depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, and other more serious emotional issues and behaviors. Nova Luna Center is the first health care facility of its kind for the treatm | Treatments Payment Options | I’m writing this review for the part of me who previously felt terrified to speak up for herself in fear of retaliation. I was a client at Nova Luna from the ages of 15-18 years old, and I am now 21. My mother remains a current client within the program. I felt pressured to stay and was discouraged when I wanted to seek other support. I was given the perception that the program was my only way to heal and that the clinical director was better than any other clinician I could find elsewhere. I felt saddened whenever she spoke poorly about other professionals/programs in the area who others have had positive experiences with. Towards the end of my time at Nova Luna, many of the therapists/clinicians resigned and the clinical director was seeing my mother and I for individual/family therapy as there were no other therapists working within the program. I was not allowed to remain friends with clients who discharged themselves without “graduating,” which saddened me as I built many friendships there. Further, I felt my confidentiality as well as other clients’ confidentiality wasn’t taken seriously compared to how I see my confidentiality being taken now. After an accumulated list of events, I took a leap of faith soon after turning 18 to seek a trauma-informed therapist who I feel safe with.
Three years have passed. Since leaving, I have a greater ability to advocate for myself and have grown more than I ever thought possible. I have learned that there are many paths to life and one therapist doesn’t have the power or capacity to be the perfect fit for every client. I have learned that nothing scary will happen if I choose to contact people that I wish to connect with. I have learned that I can bring my thoughts, feelings, and vulnerabilities to therapy and have it be received without an alarming reaction. I have learned that some people may tell me what they believe is best for me, although at the end of the day, it is me who is living my life and I have the ability to choose who witnesses and supports me through whatever phase I’m in. Most importantly, I can confidently identify what a safe therapeutic relationship is and no longer question if I deserve anything less.
As a therapist, you leave an imprint on each client that walks through your door. Additionally, you have the power to choose what kind of imprint you wish to have. There were many wonderful moments at Nova Luna and I will forever be grateful for what I have learned there and for the people I met. However, there were also things that needed improvements towards the end of my time within the program that I have been too afraid to share. I wholeheartedly believe that it’s important for everyone to find support they feel is best for them, whether it's at Nova Luna, another program, or working with a therapist in Private Practice. I wish you the absolute best on your journey towards recovery + healing.
