Went in at labor and delivery for a scary fall at 25 weeks pregnant and got checked out promptly. Dr. Bullock and nurse Lindsey were amazing and attentive. I felt truly taken care of! Super grateful to them.

I went to the emergency room and the ultrasound tech, Stephanie, was the most trauma-informed tech I’ve ever run across. She was kind, told me what she was doing, didn’t make me use stirrups, and offered for me to insert the wand myself. So grateful for medical professionals like her who make patients feel like humans ❤️❤️❤️

I had some questions regarding a child and JAMEE was so kind and helpful and I just wanted to say thank you so much and it made a difference in our day. What a great asset to the company.❤️

The well educated counselors and skilled therapists at ‘O’hana Makamae approach recovery differently from other drug and alcohol treatment centers. Clients are seen as individuals and are treated as valued members of a family. They Recognize no “one size” recovery plan works for everyone. Treatment plans provide life skills used in building individual success stories. Is ‘Ohana Makamae for everyone... absolutely not. It’s purpose is to be a hand that leads those suffering with substance use disorders out of the darkness into the light.... while embracing Hawaiian values, traditions and heritage. I enjoyed everyday working with the clinical staff and witnessing lives change. I’d most definitely return in the future.

If you are serious about getting better, this program is great! God is great! A BIG MAHALO!!! to all the staff and people that have graduated from this program that continue to visit to encourage, support and share their testimony with people coming into the program.

I had a great experience with Ku Aloha. I was on the clinic for almost 5 years. I even stopped smoking cigarettes when I was on the clinic.We had to attend group sessions and one on one counseling sessions.i decided to attend their tobacco cessation program. They gave me patches and gum to help with the cravings and honestly I wouldn't have been able to stop without them. Patches and gum are expensive at Longs . They really helped my Well Being in every aspect. With the individual counseling and the group sessions , I was really able to feel good about myself again. Thank you to all the counselors and doctors and nurses and staff that helped me there .

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Queen’s Medical Center My husband had a serious accident in the ocean and broke a vertebra. We had to go to Queen’s Medical Center in the middle of the night – and from the very beginning, everything was handled with absolute professionalism. The nurses and doctors were incredibly kind, caring, and helpful. My husband received all the necessary examinations promptly, thoroughly, and without any hassle. A very special thanks goes to Dr. Afshari, who took a lot of time to explain the findings to us and supported us with great expertise and compassion during this difficult time. My girl fiend had a terrible struggle with substance abuse and had gone to four other treatment centers on the Island with no success. The Ohana at Ho omau Ke Ola and the Hawaiian Culture based treatment helped her so much with her recovery. She is now in Jr College and has a goal of graduating next semester with her AA degree. I am so proud of her and thankful to her treatment center.

I was homeless and addicted on the streets of Honolulu for more than a year and a half. I did not successfully complete the entire program. The tools that I had obtained at SITC has kept me sober since September 7, 2017. I now work and reside at the Coolfont Resort in Berkeley Springs West Virginia. I was deemed untreatble and was one of the worst cases that was reported. If I could tell SITC anything it would be thank you for the tough love and that miracles happen.

Sand Island saved my life, I highly recommend to anyone who is struggling with a drug addiction and want to be free. Here you will learn how to live life again and take responsibilities for your actions. I will be forever grateful to the staff who supported me during the time I was in the program.

Honu house changed my life. When your there it’s not just a rehab, it becomes your home, also makes you feel like your with family. The therapists are amazing as well as the staff, they look after your best interests and make it fun. I would choose Honu house to anyone wanting to get better, and with John and Nick they make sure you are happy and give you the best help anyone could give

Staff were super nice and helpful! We were able to donate mattresses, furniture, housewares, clothes, and toiletries. They helped us unload everything and gave us a receipt for tax purposes.

I wish the website would mention donation hours or I may have missed it browsing. But I found out dropping off to donation center is 11am to 2pm.
