My sobriety journey started at Boca. The staff members including Miss Tracey, Hannah and Kevin their alumni coordinator have completely flipped the trajectory of my life. Boca recovery was a magical experience during a very difficult time that will always hold a special place in my heart. From top to bottom, the support of staff is second to none.
Tyler and Carrie, Carter, Alexx, Ashley, Brooke, Michelle, Meagan, and the rest of the techs are phenomenal. My therapist January opened my eyes to perspectives I had been missing my entire life and Justin the case manager worked tirelessly from the start all the way until his wife gave birth on my last day to make sure I was set up for success.
The nurses are amazing and the medical attention someone needs during this portion of their recovery is 110% offered around the clock.
The place has everything you need from a gym to recreational activities, spacious beds with luxury amenities. And one cannot go without mentioning the chef, Tim. You won't find better "rehab food" and conversation.
I owe a thank you to the director John for his efforts to get me into a great program after my stay was over.
To anyone struggling with with mental health and/or addiction, I cannot shout praises loud enough for what this program has to offer each and every client that walks through those doors.
If you want a way out, there's no better place to check in.

The over the phone interview was with a very understanding & compassionate staff member that explained everything to me. My air flight was booked by staff the following morning & picked up at the airport.
My stay was comfortable, staff was amazing, food was fabulous. I was able stay for 10 days, lots of good groups, & meetings. Laundry, personal supplies, & cigarettes were accessible. Tvs in every room. It was a comfortable stay that prepped me for my long term treatment at another location they set up for me & drove me to. I went to Boca in November of 2025. Walking into it was like walking into anything new, you never know what you’re going to get or how the experience will be. To my surprise, it was better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone working there at every level was very hospitable and understanding. The recovery community was fantastic and they did everything possible to make us all feel safe, accepted, understood and heard. I am still in touch with most everyone that I met during my stay at Boca! The community has remained close!

Please do not detox alone. You do not have to detox and enter recovery alone. The environment matters and the staff and clients at The Haven brought me to a place in my life I never thought was obtainable. I have fought alcoholism for approximately 18 years. I spent the past 7 years trying, very unsuccessfully to get sober on my own. Finding and choosing The Haven Flagship facility in West Palm Beach (with their help) was the best decision i have made in 7 years.
Do not wait like I did. Your health & happiness are worth fighting for and doing it in this environment makes it so much more comfortable. There is no judgement, no shame and it is not worth risking your life detoxing without this extremely well oiled machine called The Haven.
When i made my first called all they dis was listen and talk to ne and encourage me. Once I opened up they knew exactly where i should be and asked if i minded coming to a facility that was further away because they said West Palm Beach would be the beat fit. They were not wrong. They had never met me but understood what I needed and directed me PERFECTLY.
While here I detoxed safely under excellent supervision. (Please do not do this alone without medical professionals).
I attended 3 of 4 beneficial classes per day. Classes I avoided while alone on the outside of their facility while my health & drinking just got worse by the minute.
To say the staff here is nice & professional doesn’t do them proper justice.
If you need to talk to someone I suggest you just start with a call.
I wish that I had done it sooner.

I was detox and residential, I was welcomed with open arms and caring staff. I was at the end of my rope when I first came in I was seen and heard. I definitely recommend this facility. The staff and nurses was amazing and I felt like they really cared and I loved my experience there. I did the detox and residential program. The food is amazing and I definitely gained some weight. Well cared for place. Came in broken and left with tools that I could continue to make my life every thing I know it will be. Hope and wish everyone that comes the best of luck. What Types of Plans Does Independence Blue Cross Offer?
Independence Health offers lots of types of plans, including individual and family plans in the Marketplace and Medicare Advantage and Medicare prescription plans. They also have insurance plans that employers can offer to their workers. If you qualify for Medicaid, you might have Independence Health coverage through Keystone First.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is known for having a strong provider network, and Independence Health has contracts with more than 49,000 providers and 180 hospitals. However there are exceptions to the law and the extent of coverage varies based on the plan, so you need to check your plan’s coverage details.
If you have a co occurring mental health diagnosis alongside addiction your Independence Blue Cross plan may have coverage that provides integrated care for both diagnoses.

What Inpatient Addiction Treatment Does Independence Blue Cross Cover?
Independence Blue Cross partners with Shatterproof which is an independent national non profit substance use disorder advocacy organization. They have a finder tool that covers 14 states to help you find an appropriate treatment center that accepts Independence Blue Cross.
However insurance coverage focuses on care that is considered medically necessary so it’s important to work with your doctor to get a detailed treatment plan from your doctor. This allows you to find out if you need to seek inpatient treatment and will provide evidence for insurance preauthorization.
Inpatient care is essential if you need medical detox so you have the support you need to keep you safe as your body clears itself of drugs and alcohol. Many patients transition to inpatient residential care after medical detox so they can continue getting intensive care and lay a solid foundation for long term recovery.
What Outpatient Rehab Does Independence Blue Cross Cover?
Independence Blue Cross plans may cover different levels of outpatient rehab depending on your needs and the medical necessity of the care. Outpatient treatment enables you to receive addiction treatment through individual and group therapy as well as virtual care.
Outpatient rehab is often done in stages after leaving inpatient care. The most intensive outpatient treatment is a partial hospitalization program (PHP) where you spend several hours a day for five to seven days a week at a treatment center.
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are a step down from PHP and you attend outside therapy sessions for nine to 19 hours per week. As you progress in your recovery you will eventually move to general outpatient treatment where you attend counseling sessions just once or twice a week.
Does Independence Blue Cross Cover Methadone & Suboxone (MAT)?
Many Independence Blue Cross plans cover methadone and Suboxone as well as Vivitrol as part of medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs. You’ll want to get your plan details so you understand if you need a referral or preauthorization before you begin treatment.
MAT is used to treat opioid use disorders and alcohol use disorders. It can help reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms to help you stay stable during treatment. This helps prevent relapse while you lay a strong foundation for recovery.
The insurer offers a large network of facilities where you can receive MAT. You’ll want to check with your specific plan to see which of these facilities are in network for you.
Does Addiction Treatment Need to Be in Network?
To get the most out of your Independence Blue Cross insurance plan it helps if you use in network addiction treatment providers. Many Independence Blue Cross plans will not cover out of network care. Even if your plan does cover out of network providers it will cost you more because there are higher deductibles and copayments for out of network providers.
